Ive been a Canva vector contributor for 7 years, with a high volume port there. Have emailed contributor support with (non-tech support) questions multiple times in last year and received 0 response which is unusual. Slow to reply, consistently yes. Never replying, this is new. Used to deal directly with Lee Torrens when he was there, and communication was fantastic.

Have other contributors experienced the same? Am trying to get answers re: long promised contributor-facing analytics, sales transparency under subscription plan, and removal of public profile image likes, which offered one of the few clues into individual image performance.

Danny Canva can you please provide an update? Canvas contributor side desperately needs attention.

Yes, it has taken anything up to several months for them to get back to me. I was going to say weeks, but I looked back at the conversation and one response took literally 5 months.

The next issue, two months.

Both times worked out a workaround to my issue and long forgotten about it before they bothered replying.

Good to know Im not the only one with long response times. Do you happen to know the significance of the public profile image auto-reordering feature they introduced last spring? Momentum, popularity, sales-based perhaps? One of my long unanswered questions with them.

I have no idea. What is it?

If you look at your contributor public profile page, it will reorder differently @ once every 24 hrs, previously it was static. Canva introduced this feature last spring, (at least in my region). Thought it may offer insight into what images are currently selling, however have been asking them this question for months and still crickets.

"received 0 response which is unusual"

that is very usual, their contrib support is non existent and if you get a reply it is from the thickest person youve very come across. i wonder how they manage to breathe.

Since apparently their contributor supporet is non-existant I won't even bother contacting them and maybe someone here can answer my question. I am fairly new with Canva. Their contributror FAQ says "We send out payments of royalties automatically once every monthby the 15th. ", today is the 16th and I didn't get any payment.
However, the payment overview page says "Payments are sent out at the end of every month".
So which one is it? "By the 15th" or "end of every month"?

Usually they send you you payment by the 15th of the month, but sometimes it's later, I got some payments at 16th of the month and also 18th and 19th, but some were sooner than 15th. You also need to reach 100$ mark to receive automated payment.

EDIT I haven't received mine yet for this month.

Thank you. Yes, I reached 100$ (though you can also set the treshold lower in your account settings). Then I'll wait. Doesn't look like I have much choice either way. Would just be nice to know whether I can expect the money this month or next month.

Got paid as well, though not the full unpaid amount.  Looks like I still have a lot to figure out about Canva.

They take 30% in taxes if your country doesn't have tax treaty or something

My country has a tax treaty.

So does the US but they still take a small percentage.

So they take taxes from all contributors regardless of where they live and whether their country has a tax treaty?
That's annoying....

I believe it depends on the treaty? They take a percentage from me (UK) but I don't have to pay twice. I declare the amount as paid to a treaty country and get that deducted from my UK taxes. Different to the US which has a 0% for royalties treaty with the UK but same outcome.

They don't make it easy to figure out what your tax is.

Go to your payments page and you can see your gross total and tax withheld for each pay period.

Unfortunately all it says there is: "You haven't received any payments yet".
Even though I clearly got a payment through Paypal from Canva today.  :o

Canva usually pays on time, by the 15th of every month for previous months earnings.. Sometimes payment arrives days earlier, occasionally a day or 2 later which was the case this month. To date they have been reliable in this regard.

Very bad experience with communication.
Canva sold my images, but I was not their contributor.
It took almost a year to get information who is their source.
After I publish this experience they came here with the story that there is another email for communication, but that "another email" was not on their website published.
