I'm putting a 99% likelihood on this sale being fraud.

I'm just hoping i don't wake up one morning and find my entire account suspended for suspicious activity.  There is no way that video is worth 1% of that fee.

Congratulations! Very unlikely its fraud because fraudsters aren't going to pay big money to download an image / video for this purpose. Enjoy, nice Christmas present!

Same file just sold again today for roughly the same amount.

No idea how/what but something, somewhere is screwing around.

But a 100% chance of being fraud/scam/error as it sold again today for a similar amount. 

(Previous record for me was $500 but that was legit).

Sold moments ago (first time on SS)
I'm now level 4 for videos (30% commission), meaning the customer paid $522 for it (+taxes?).
Not bad!

A good month on SS!

I had one today too.

It started very nice on Pond5 this year, but sales have slowed down a lot there sadly since then.  But this kind of premium, custom or business license sales aren't rare on Pond5 on a good month.

... they are most common on IS and SS, but with sad royalty percentage for us...

my last good sale on SS was 41 usd in March

last Saturday a "chain" sale of similar contents for 1.43 usd each,but these are rare events,last month I made too many sales of 0.10 c on SS

Mine was not a cheeseburger,  but that would be about the same as selling something for a high value license and having it be sliced vegetables or tomatoes. What the world needs is more cheeseburgers. 



I still haven't made the best darn cheeseburger photo. I only shoot these once a year.

Resurrecting this old thread which I thought was assigned to the dustbin of history. Now if Shutterstock could return to these sales then we'd be having a much different conversation about them, and they'd likely be seeing much better results on their stock price. I haven't had a sale like this since 2023. Aerial drone video...
