Only reason I upload to DP (other than the once in a blue moon sale) is that I'm able to download my own full version videos without a watermark from the port. Comes in handy as I hate having to search through external HDs!
Hey that's a plus, thanks for this bit of knowledge

If you have reported them to Envato and the portfolio is still up because Envato did nothing then maybe its better to post that on the forum there. I am sure it will get all the needed attention from the community and from Envato at the end too.
Just found the forum and started a new topic explaining the situation. Thanks

I wasn't aware there was a forum on Envato, I'll check it out. I did report it to them and they wanted me to sign something before they looked into it. I replied with links to the stolen clips and links to the same clips in my Pond5 portfolio uploaded years ago

Loading is very fast, the site understands the csv file. There are sales, but worse than on other stocks.
Cool, thanks for the reply. Such a fast process I might just give a shot

Hi, is anyone getting video sales on Depositphotos? I've had about 600 photos on their from years ago and still reach the $25 payout every couple months... so I'm wondering if throwing a couple thousand videos on their would be worth the time. Wouldn't even be that bad with an easy FTP upload and submission process. Anyone having success with videos there?

I just checked and Motion Array did take down the portfolio but Videohive did not... they just changed the name of the portfolio
What is the new name on envato?
Misabaliec is the name of the portfolio. Same portfolio as Bridephoto, they just changed the name

If you upload to unlimited download sites like StoryBlocks etc, that always happen forever. It'll always be a cat and mouse game. You'll have to constantly searching on web to find thieves making money off of your works. There are also many thieves uploading on YouTube and monetizing them.
I hear ya! There's probably a lot of accounts like this. I just stumbled across it as I was uploading to Motion Array
How did you stumble upon it - was it a "suggested" video?
I was uploading a few clips to Motion Array and looking through their library while I waited... then saw my clip being sold by someone else

It's particularly odd that there are videos with model releases, such as the one found here: https://motionarray.com/stock-video/beach-girl-334517/. This suggests that either some content genuinely belongs to the uploader, or, more concerningly, there might be a case of falsified personal information.
That's what I was just thinking... what do these model releases look like??

Hi, I just came across 4 of my clips in someone else's portfolio (Bridephoto) on Motion Array. Big portfolio with clips from just about every city in the world. If the one's from Seattle are my clips... I'm assuming the other cities are other peoples clips. Have you guys had any experience with portfolios like this. I've emailed Motion Array, so hopefully they do the right thing and take it down, but what about all those sales? Is there any compensation that goes to the original artists? Selling stock footage is hard enough with so many people doing it... thieves like this need to be shut down immediately

Just had a bunch returned today for contextual metadata and finally sent an email to support. I think I just got a weird curator. I read over my titles and descriptions and they perfectly describe the clips. I've had 100% acceptance rate for years... hopefully this gets figured out.

I've been uploading to Pond5 for 9 years. My website and YouTube videos link to Pond5 collections. I had assumed the liked how many links I have sending people to my clips on Pond5 since they've accepted 100% of my submitted clips for years now... but the last few weeks my clips are getting rejected or returned. I'm not doing anything different. Is anyone else experiencing something similar or did I just recently get a strict curator??

What's up y'all! I recently made a video touching in on some of my experience in creating stock footage since 2015. I've been focusing more on YouTube recently, but this is my first video about stock footage. I plan on covering more topics within this genre... so I'd really appreciate it if you guys can take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Interesting - what kind of return have you seen on shots where you include yourself versus just generic landscape shots? I've never really included myself in any of the shots.
I don't have any exact stats to compare but I think capturing both the landscape shots and a person interacting with the landscape just adds more sellability to your session

OMG I've been Hikerman many times too (my new name for that role). Loved the video and just great to have a reminder that there are still a few of us out there filming stuff we find beautiful (sometimes in the mundane) and acting like we accomplished something in nature when really we traveled by car, got a MacDonalds on the way and got a mate to film us pondering life's big questions. Loved it!
Haha, for sure! Adds a little excitement to filming stock

Tyson Anderson, great video! What equipment do you shoot with?
Thanks! Currently shooting on a Panasonic S5ii, DJI Air 2s, and DJI Action 4. Went from Panasonic GH4 to GH5s before that

I honestly can't see you making more money by going exclusive anywhere. It may have worked out for some, but I don't think a 50% increase in royalties can be offset by a 4/5/6 times drop in the number of agencies you submit to. If you want to simplify the process then I'd consider submitting to BlackBox. While it's not something I'd normally recommend for a number of reasons, if your goal is to make things simpler then that could be the way to go. 15% loss in your royalties, but just one upload required, and they do hit Level 5 on Shutterstock in the first week of the year... which is nice.
Thanks. I hear ya, and maybe going exclusive isn't the strategy change I need.

I've been selling stock footage and photos since 2015, with most income from the footage. Like everyone else, that income has been dropping over the last 3 years. It has come to a point where the effort put into creating high quality footage isn't seeing enough return to continue with my same strategy, uploading to all the sites. I'd love to focus on one site to sell exclusive footage with hopes to simplify my process while possibly earning more because of exclusivity.
Does anyone have info on what the best site for this would be??

I'm interested. Rocking the Air 2s now...might upgrade if the image quality is quite a bit better

1 portfolio with more diversity will earn the most

I don't think it helps sales on the bigger agencies. It does become a question of it being worth the time when the smaller agencies bring in a small amount each month
