Below is the reply to my note to them this morning. Guess we'll need to dig a bit more to make sure we are getting commissions from sales. Also, if you look at the link to All pictures of this author, there is no author info, so that link is broken. ...trimmed... Sounds like Denisa had an interesting morning... I got basically the same email, but with an added sentence (emphasis mine) Pixmac is a new microstock agency. Beside our own collection, we also feature on our website the Fotolia collection because we have an affiliation and are Fotolias reseller. This is the reason you see your photos on our website, we are another distributing channel. We have no hires of Fotolias pictures - you will see all your downloads as well as your commission in your Fotolia account. In case there is any download of pictures you have uploaded on Fotolia, you still will get the same comission and you will be payed by Fotolia, like you would be by downloads through Fotolia directly. If you upload any pictures directly on Pixmac, you will get payed for this images directly by Pixmac. If you dont want your images being displayed on our site, please let us know, we will delete them from the portfolio ... I proposed to them that they should make a list of partners using the API available on their website, but I doubt they will do...
I was wondering the same thing. It sure would be nice to know who FT is selling through as it would make life easier on just about everyone (no support tickets with FT about it, none with the other agency, and no postings like this on forums where anyone can read).

I figured something was up as my sales for the last few days have dropped quite a bit. My best selling image on IS is a black bible. I just did a search, and it showed up on page 31 of 32 pages. *sigh* -- no wonder it hasn't sold much lately. It's like being sent to the back of the line for no good reason...

Fotolia?!?!?!! I wonder if it's another site like that one where you could purchase a canvas of an image.. It will be interesting to see how they respond to my inquiry.

Me too. I had several today, but still no credit for the back ones.
I had one show up today... $0.30 for an XXL 3900x5700 background image. Methinks that my inquiry to Mr. Steve will take a while to look into what with all the other things going on

I guess it's good to know that I'm not the only one having problems.

The horizon looks a bit tilted in the first one, and you might want to check around your spider's legs for chromatic aberration (purple fringing). I'd say go for it.

My understanding was that some special deals were to be put together for members of this forum. I believe that the group moderator is in discussion with our marketing team re: a plan for doing this. In the meantime...
This sounds encouraging to me. I haven't bought anything from Adorama, but if something can get worked out, I might just give 'em a shot.

...Anyone find the left handed mop? or the bucket of steam? The boss sent me out for both.
Yes, they're right next to the plywood stretchers. You have to ask for them, though... I'm finding IS reviews take between 7-9 days now. And at 15 per week, it can take quite a while to get all my images uploaded there.

Was it worth waiting?
At 21MP, I'd say "Yes." Not only would it be a walk in the park to get an image large enough for Alamy, you'd also be able to get XXL sized images for other microstock sites without any difficulty. I'd even consider re-shooting some stuff so that larger versions are available.

I'm still waiting for a sale there. Plenty of views, though...

Same thing here. It seems like the photos that made it to photos.com are also on JIU+. Is that site completely sub, or do they have PPD?

« on: September 04, 2008, 14:22 »
I've got several StockXpert images that are not on either site. Now that JIU+ has launched, perhaps they'll have more resources to throw at the incorrect size and missing image issues.

Just had a sub sale---for a Large image. Probably should have been PPD...

Is anybody else observing a surge at 123RF? Whatever they are doing, it appears to be working. I'm glad to see a site which shares 50% of the commission with contributors gaining market share.
No surge here--I'm well on my way to a WME there (and I thought July was bad). But I'm glad that things are working out well for you. Hopefully things will pick up next month. Do you have anything on their "Donate" list?

Well on my way to a WME there. I think StockXpert is about a $0.10 ahead of SV this month for me.

3 pictures of mine are sold so far in August. Looks pretty promising
Glad you had a sale. I haven't had a sale there in months.

Did you report this to FT? I can't see how it is in their interest to have people like this as their customers.
I don't know if reporting it is going to do much good--about all they could do would be to verify the authenticity of the sale, and possibly check the purchasing patterns of the account holder. I "google'd" the article and found it--mainly because I don't live too far from Menifee. This date on the article is in February of 2007, so I'm not too sure about the likelihood that the purchaser is the same as the person in the article.

Anyone had a sale through photos.com yet? I hope there are enough buyers still there to make this venture worthwhile.
No sales through them yet...it might take a little bit. What's weird is that some of my images are there, others are not.

Whenever I click on my royalty amount at Snapvillage, instead of getting my sales figures, I get a strange message:
Current month accrued royalty: No royalties have been accrued
What does this mean? Does anyone else get this strange message?
I've seen that message before. I think it means about the same thing as the "Comb the desert" scene/gag in the movie Spaceballs.

I've donated a few, and I might have gotten a couple of sales because of it. Currently I have no images donated because the last go-round had zero impact on sales.
