Hi,
Does anyone here have portfolio in any of these two sites ? What are your experiences ?
Thanks!

I apologise, I mistakenly figured a forum was meant to discuss matters. Silly me.
Real matters, not such trifles delibarated through almost 2 pages.

I think that the time you spend here on talking about $2 fee is worth much more than the fee itself. I can't get it, if you earn $20 per month on Canva just wait those 5 months and during this time work on your portfolio. Do you really desperately need those extra $20 a month ? By the way I easily earn much over $100 a month on Canva.

What about Dell UltraSharp U3014 2560x1600 LED IPS?
It is 30" and costs about $1150.

Let me ask again, do I need a monitor the huge value of which is displaying 99% of AdobeRGB while stock agencies still convert images to sRGB ?

What about FlexScan EV2736W ?
It is significantly cheaper than monitors from ColorEdge line, but still it is Eizo.

Oh I forgot to mention I need 27".
Dell U2314H looks a bit cheap, I'm not sure about the quality...
Eizo ColorEdge is expensive and as I said seems to be "too professional" for internet display (like stock photography). It needs Adobe RGB color space to take full advantage of it. Stock agencies want sRGB I guess.

Hi!
I have my NEC PA231W and I think these are my last days with the likes of "super pro" monitors, it started blinking and flickering irregularly especially in the bottom left corner. What's more I have never managed to calibrate it properly. I guess it' targeted more to preparing prints etc.
Now I am looking for an affordable monitor for around $1000. It should be factory calibrated, ready to use and display photos as they are commonly seen on devices. I guess Adobe RGB is not needed since agencies only read sRGB (is that right?)
What would you recommend ?
Thanks,

Hi,
I've been in stock photography business for several years now and have an established portfolio on 15+ micro agencies and some macro. I have only photos and illustrations in my port, no footage at all. Is worth investing in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, time to learn all the stuff and shoot several clips for the start ?
I have Canon 5d mkII and I know it is perfectly capable of shooting great quality clips, but still I am not sure whether dive into this completely new world for me, or better stay in what I am good at = stills.
Has anyone tried this 'transformation' ? What are your opinions ?
Thanks!

The great advantage is that they are multimedia stock library. Yes, I know Fotolia, SS also offer footage, and/or music etc, but in Pond5 it is somehow more visible, better integrated and interconnected. That's my impression.

Seriously, they have all it takes to win - great interface, search, fresh content, recognizable brand, contributors' support. The last one may turn out to be the most important these days. Pond5 give fair 50%, allow to set your own prices and have clear distribution network.
What do you think? Maybe this is THE ONE which we should support the most? Not jokers like graphicleftover (the name speaks for itself) or other newcomers that have no idea what they are doing.
Cheers!
