I would say that pretty much the entire city of Tokyo is an absolute goldmine for what you're describing. It is truly incredible, especially at night and blue hour. Just walk around and you will stumble upon location after location. As a very nice bonus, it is also extremely safe which makes walking around alone with camera equipment at night a pleasure instead of something unpleasant.

Just use suncalc.net for exact sunset/sunrise times and locations. It's brilliant. It will show the correct times once you're actually in Tokyo, as it displays the time based on your IP address.

For an incredible aerial view, you can go up to Roppongi Hills and the Mori Tower. I did not bring a tripod up there, so I don't know their policy, but there is plenty of space so might not be a problem.

All in all, this city is a photographer's dream, and I will probably go back soon, now that I have much better equipment and skill.

You get a great view from Roppongi Hills, but they don't even let you take a bag out there, let alone a tripod or slider. I had to put my camera bag in a locker and carry my camera with one lens out onto the roof.

Just click on the appropriate month's coloured bar to isolate that month, or pick a range on the sales selected bar graph at the top.

Deepmeta is very, very useful for analysing sales now with the addition of boards.

I use qHero for uploading images to IS and it has an option to download any of your image. File has original resolution and minimal compression. It includes all filled metadata - title, keywords, etc. I used this possibility few times to upload files with ready metadata to another stocks.

Is this only for images you uploaded via qHero in the first place, or any image, however uploaded, from your portfolio?

Says 60% on their site. They're unlikely to tell you the deal they have with agencies.

I assume its RF only, no RM so no use to me.

They want free marketing from their contributors.

It's a cooperative, not a traditional agency, they're supposed to all work together for their common gain.

The bit about exclusivity was interesting.

Wouldn't surprise me if they tried a trick like raising the base level back to 20% and doing away with 40% exclusive royalties whilst proclaiming it a win all round for artists.

They'd get renewed enthusiasm from the great mass of contributors that would drown out the complaints from the small number of 40%'ers left.

Ron, Actually only one....Mike took a TON of our Jokes and Kidding for years. he came to my first seminar in 2007, he was at My House. We had Lunch many times.. we had a lot of fun But, Truthfully If you made half what he makes and made you would be a different person. personal style aside he made a Lot of Money and still does. He was and is the  classic example of what Penny stock really is. I've been through various solutions over the years for shooting in remote locations where power is non-existent and have come to the conclusion that a massive stack of SD cards and a big bag of batteries is the easiest, most fool proof method. Don't bother with CF cards any more, SD cards are now fast enough and much cheaper and smaller. If you travel on a plane, take care of how you transport lots of batteries. I've had hundreds of dollars of batteries confiscated from hold baggage before now.
