Individual urls and images possibly any other links you have on your pages be it in your own site our outbound links.
Yoast generates 9 sitemaps for me author, categories, images, image tags (I have 3 sitemaps of image tags you may have more or less depending on how many image tags you use), image type, pages and posts.
I quit uploading until I get the SEO done (I have 300 images left to go) and I don't know if I have to manually update it on Google Webmasters but just to err on the side of caution probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Jon Oringer once said something along the lines that the value Shutterstock provides for customers is not the in the images themselves, but it is an fast and efficient way to search and find the right image when you are looking for it. But in order to find those images they have wade through a ton because of keyword spamming. Which doesn't save time for the buyer and they might end up with something they didn't want or they go somewhere else. That doesn't just plague SS as keyword spamming is everywhere.

Of my images only 28 of 550 have been indexed. At least it's almost done indexing the site urls so maybe my images will start getting indexed more this week.
Course I also don't get the search query stats because I can't find my stuff going by what their stats say.

I wonder how long it will take for those advertisers to start using that service and how long it'll take for contributors to start seeing activity with this.
I haven't uploaded anything to there or anywhere since the last part of July since sale were/and still are stagnate for me. If it does take off I might be half tempted to upload again.

I just looked at their Twitter feed and it seems like it's in place already.
@flashon I think you have to be an advertiser on Facebook to get that option.

A few of us are doing a few 100 a month, others are seeing smaller sales. Generally its forward moving for everyone.

Doubt it, from the press release it sounds like royalties will probably be close to what you get for subs. Probably below a dollar for most/all.
If that's the case then this is gonna suck big time unless the volume is there.

Just upload everything as fast as possible. The sooner it is out there on Shutterstock, the sooner it can get some sales. Don't worry about stuff like 'should I upload a few every day or not?' because in the end, it doesn't matter at all.
If anything, uploading large batches would make you prominently featured at that moment.
Unless you've got someone else at the same time uploading 10 times more than you are. That's happened to me on a few occasions.

Go to the link on the left that says Pages. Click the add new link at the top. On the right hand side there will be some drop down boxes. Under template select Home Page CTAs. Give your new page a title and post some content in it. And then click publish. Click on the left hand side Appearance Themes then customize. On the left click on Static Front page and it should expand to show you some options. Select the Static Page radio button then select the page you just created. Then click save at the top left of that area then test it by going to your site. *edit* You posted while I was posting so disregard if you've got it all figured out
