I agree EmberMike. There's so many other agencies to sell that don't make life complicated for us. I deactivated my portfolio at the start of the year and I don't regret it.
me too. Deactivation per mail is very simple and you can activate the account when ever you want.
sorry iam not from the states. But in Germany i have to report 100% of the sales price cause Envato is only a marketplace. The Envato fee is only a business expense.

Envato, the triple dip agency.
No no no! Envato is no agency they are only a platform. But they have commisions like an agency. Im so excited!
That's what they say... but if they were a platform, they wouldn't have to apply US tax because the sale would have been from the author to the buyer, right?
The contract is direct between buyer and contributor.

I just received a note from Lee that someone had pointed him to this post and they're closing my Canva account - "You are no longer welcome as a Canva contributor"
arrogant. The agencies do not like it when we are talking about there and there politics. But i would like to say there's luckily a way to send anonymous regards and FCK CVA.

reads like a paid article.
But I also read in another article from another author and contributor who "like" Fotolia that the DPC is not a problem...
The agencies make marketing so they grab the big contributors and there blogs with sweets.

We contributors can make a 50%er award. When we are united we can do somthing for our rights. There are so many agencies. Who says that the competion for an agencie is only on the buyers side.

I have seen that SIM makes invoices with adresses of buyer and contributor.
Whats with the EU-VAT on superimagemarket.com? If they are only a marketplace every european contributor has to pay VAT for every single buyer from europe in there homecountries.
They will say, but i think SIM cannot make invoice on behalf of another company. They will give you invoice from their own company and you will not pay VAT, as they are outside EU.
They say that they are only a marketplace and the contract is direct between buyer and contributor. No matter where is SIM homecountry europeans have to pay vat for every single european buyer in his homecountry. Bye bye sim!

I upload 200 images this week. Today the first sale. The upload is totaly simple. I only upload via FTP and thats it. The files are online after FTP uploading. No editing no review. Picfair only takes 20% commission. To be too good to be true Is there anything wrong with Picfair what I've overlooked?

After I opted out, my images could still be found there. But they said:
"Your images were removed from all our API websites. You could only see the previews since we were working on our search filters. However, it was not possible to purchase your files there since your files uploaded directly to our website are available for sale only on our website. "
Now I can still find my images on ibudgetphoto (via imagenumber search and keywords) so I'm still wondering if they can actually be purchased. Above reply was from april 2014, so now I'm thinking it was another lie.
yes i dont believe them. I think the images are available for sale on Glowimages and i think we get only the dp subcription price when a buyer buys via Glow.

This unfortunately is a horror story nobody could really understand had unless they knew what happened behind the scenes. If you look at the various landmarks in it's progress down to the final point, its easy to put together.
sorry for me it is not easy. I do not understand where the problem is to explain what went wrong. I think you have sold Symbiostock thats it. And once again there was zero communication to the users and thats the real problem. In germany i would like to say "kindergarten"

sounds good. But Symbiotock also sounded good.... Sorry but I will not invest again in a project from you. The basic requirement is that the developer is trustworthy how should a new project otherwise ever be stable?

If you are successful in adding the account to your Paypal account you will not get your dollars without a conversion. The Paypal solution to this is the biggest rip-off possible. Double conversion :-) First Paypal converts your dollars to local currency (2,5% fee), than when your money comes to your USD bank account it is again converted by your bank to dollars. Double conversion and a huge conversion fee...
Frustrating.

you can open bank account in Europe in currencies different from euro. I am sure.
Yes you can open a Forex-account. But the fee for transfer to this account is 20€ per transfer at the most banks in germany.

I also use PayPal and credit card (Visa). I don't convert USD in EUR. I live in Romania and when I withdraw into my bank account via credit card the USD or EUR convert automatically into LEI/RON (our currency). The fee is 2 EUR or 2.5 $.
It is a little bit hidden (hidden costs). Paypal charges fees automatic.
USD 100 = EUR 91,16 But Paypal converts from USD 100 to EUR bank account just 85,68 (instead of 91,16)
Eyactly thats the problem. Payal is expensive but for europeans there are no alternatives.
