If anybody is still with Dissolve? I quit Dissolve and chose VideoBlocks. My VideoBlocks sales on average these days are about 1/4 to 1/3 of Pond5 sales. For the last 2 years, I think my VB sales grew about 50% on average.

no don't worry it wasnt just you my sutterstock was bad pond5 very bad and videoblocks bad all almost 50% of usual sales only fotolia was super good

Was it just me? Maybe Pond5 took a chunk of Shutterstock sales. Videoblocks was slow this month as well.

Just wanted to know how many of you are putting your footage into collections, and does it improve your sales?
I have a few collections, but one of the best selling contributor has no collection. So, I suspect buyers see collections to buy clips.

I don't even think they lied at all. They said they'll sell for $49 (to paid members) and give us 100% royalty. They're just doing that.

Let them make some money. I don't want them to go out of business. Without non-member $79 sales they keep $30 out of it, it's like they are volunteering for us for no reason. I don't care how much they sell for those non-member sales. They give us $49 (minus $1+ fee) for HD video and that's much more than any other sites.

Getty/iStock seems like a horrible company for contributors. I closed my account there last year, but seems like it's getting even worse with those penny royalty. I wish company like Getty/iStock will go bankrupt and disappear. They have no respect for us.

If you upload to VideoBlocks, you better not upload to Dissolve. Not worth selling at $49 and get only 30% commission vs near 100% commission on VideoBlocks. A lot of contributors left VideoBlocks because of this issue. I don't miss contributing to Dissolve at all.

It's unbelievable that nobody at Shutterstock noticed this. They have many people working there.
