It's the agency where I have less pictures online. I actually think their picky selection makes sense, it's my best looking port across all agencies. They are accepting more stuff since D-day though.

OMG they're rejecting even my new images downsized to 4MP, everything has poor lighting. With these reviews you would think they sell your pictures for 25 dollars and not 25 cents.

Started this year - 350 files average
Big 2 - IS and SS (80% combined)
Low Earners - FT and CS (15% combined)
Micro Earners - BS and DT (5% combined)
Dropped - DP
New Hopes - FotoArabia and Picfair
Comparing to May: DT way down, SS more downloads and less money, CS slow but improving.

We just had a really good month at CanStock selling video. Much better than normal. Then today I received an email from them telling me that all the still images I just uploaded were rejected for various reasons. Never had that happen before. Oh well, I think we made like $3 there this month selling images so I'm not gonna worry about it.
Yeah they are going SS on reviews now. Had a decent month there though, #4 earner in June.

Excellent point, Michaeldb. Not only it will be impossible for SS mantain it's portfolio growth, the number of sales is also increasing. It's not so bad as it sounds. Even though some files simply have no chance as they get buried within minutes on common subjects.

ShadySue, I get only subs of course but SS is the same (98% of sales). I think it's better to take everything and let sales decide which files are good then to reject stunning pictures just because of possible camera limitations. I think how the picture actually looks like is way more important than purely technical aspects. SS has plenty of pictures lacking aesthetics but just because they have technical quality doesn't mean they are good.

No way I would be SS exclusive. It would be good only to reduce competition in other agencies.

My new stuff is accepted but my old 4MP pictures simply won't get through anymore... they definitely raised their standards. I simply ignore the rejection reasons as they are random, but the reviews are consistent (always 0% acceptance). It's sad because I have 30k pictures with my old camera. Good thing there is Istock to save the day.

Nice, do you accept just arabic-specific content or more general stuff as well?
No, just middle east stuff or middle east related (food, people, etc).

Oh I'm not closing my account. Always have to keep an eye on the bandit.

Well at least they won't be able to sell it in the DP site.
Also I didn't find my deactivated images for sale anywhere else. I have a separate nickname in DP, so it would be easy to spot if they were doing so.
I think sales in DP are delayed 1+ month thus explaining sales after deactivation.

This month was horrible in DT - I had 1 (one) miserable sub sale with more than 300 files.

Cool, but I can't access the contributor's page/dashboard. Someone with the same problem?

Actually Canstock is going SS... whole batch of different pictures all rejected for the same reason: "File appears to be too soft and/or out of focus, or may have an overly shallow depth of field."
What can I say? LOL
I guess the reviewer was behind schedule... will resubmit everything.

I had already deactivated all images prior to this... I don't know why people are still there.

I just got a 6 dollar sale with PP for May, isn't it supposed to be over already?

I'm a new contributor and I definitely believe in the wall. I just hope that in this stage I'm already making much more than I spend monthly. In the long term, I will need to diversify with other investments and in like 10 years it will be simply a small passive flow of income as it won't be worth the trouble to upload anymore.

The number of downloads in SS is also increasing, not as much as images of course, but I guess the inequality in image downloads is becoming more stronger. A successful picture on top of the search will generate thousands of sales and a large number of files will be buried forever. A more random search would reduce this problem, even though sales would be less predictable.

I have sold 4 images on 18/june but all files were deactivated 2 months ago. Is there anyone else generating sales with deactivated images?

Decent number of sales but crappy RPD... very very few on demand.

Yeah I think they are the worse of the main agencies. Wish I never opened my account. Sales are delayed 1+ month and/or they still sell deactivated images in their PP.

I normally don't think too much about rejected images, but I had 6 that were simply stunning. I really wanted to get them through, so I resubmit them in two small batches.
Batch of 2: 1 approved Batch of 4: 0 approved
Needless to say, rejection reasons were completely opposite.
First time they were rejected for lighting, composition and noise. Now they were rejected only for focus. I didn't change a thing - exact same pictures.
So that's it, I'm tired of making a fool out of myself. I'll shift my uploading priority to IS, they already sell more anyway.

I uploaded a sample there. Some images got starred and that's it, no views at all. I think it's great as long as you promote yourself and treat it like a symbiostock and not an agency.
I hope they improve and can attract buyers but for now you can't expect any regular sales.

Here's a new one: I recently uploaded to DP, after a month with 0 sales I deactivated all images. Today I decided to log in just to see how things were and I got several 0.30 sales.
0.30 is the regular subscription price? I wonder if any of my files are in some shady PP there. Well, one thing is for sure - sales are not real time (delayed at least 1 month).

Well I'm not gonna hike with a tripod... I'll try really small batches like 2 at a time and see how it goes.
