how about eps vector? do they accept it?

355
thanks all for good information..

i think maybe i will just send another email with the webpage prints i have saved. It is obvious the image is stolen because they change it without reply my email.

356
up this thread, i found one of my images are being used in a website.. which is not available through microstock agencies, It is likely it was got from my photodeck site and crop always the watermark.

I email the website since it is selling an app for phone, it seems a proper business with all the contact, and i link back the purchase system to my website asking for $65 of the stolen usage, but i check today it is just replaced with another image.

i have saved the website with my images was used without license, am I able to pursue something? or everything the thief just change it to another image and it is a closed case?

I am quite surprise that it seems a proper managed business, but will steal an image and refuse to pay a $65...maybe they have only invested have a profits of $50 a month? i don't bother to publish their bad attitude on their facebook or twitter pages..it is strange that people are out there to start a business but will take the risk that save $65..

Hi, is alpha mask same as normal masking? like black and white only.

I think if agency can come out with a solution, it is good for buyer..

There was one of those threads on DT (before they started to accept png)  where a bunch of us were arguing for it but one of the admins said they'd accept this format with an alignment mark.  I tested the waters on DT, SS and FT and only FT had a problem.  It does make a strange thumb (could result in someone having a closer look out of curiousity) and doubles the dimensions of the image.

pen tool can be good..but i found that using a brush that can make a natural hairy looking edge..so I played with it ends up with a transparent background.

Why cant you use the pen tool?  well, its the same problem here, hairy things like animals, etc, can be a night-mare. I remember somebody called Russel-Brown, some sort of expert with PS, now he actually had a whole thing dedicated to just hairy edges and surfaces. Try and google him.

good luck.

Photoshop Discussion / isolated method with photoshop masking
« on: August 16, 2012, 03:50 »
Hi all,

I am doing a isolated animal with photoshop masking.. since it is not using pen tool, there is no clipping path, and i found that clipping path isn't for the hairy edge of animal.

What is the best way to preserve the isolation for buyer? I have isolated the animal with transparent pixel around it.

any method to preserve the masking?

I know dreamstime accept png, glstockimages accept tiff and psd file..other than that what is the best way to preserve the isolation? even i have paste it on a pure white, the buyer may still have difficult time so cut it out right?

thank you if you have some tips to share.

and please stop start another thread and telling who can post an opinion and who can't..

Yeah well this thread can be closed down now or locked, saves me from lots of pseudo c##p.

anyone know how can i create a host name for my computer? like ftp.xxxx.com? I have a registered domain website, possible to use that address?

Filezilla has a 'server-version' on their website too.

363
hi actually i am trying to use bit torrent for this transfer too.. my friend create a bt file, and i open it in the application, but it doesn't seem to move..i wonder why?

I see no seed but there are many peers.. i find it strange since i don't think there are others can download this file..as peers, and I also no idea why I can't see the seed at all..

for filezilla, i install the filezilla server software..but I can't figure out how to transfer through internet..it seems like u need a hosting space? like a ftp.xxxx.com, anyone can give instructions?

Most people only think of it as a tool for pirates, but BitTorrent is actually a good tool for this kind of thing.  A big advantage is that the transfer can be paused and resumed by either side at any time and the bandwidth usage can be throttled back, so you can use your Internet connection for other things while the transfer is running.

Also, if you are both in the same country or have a means of quick shipping, don't discount the power and convenience of the "sneakernet".  A 32GB flash drive only costs about $20, is quite durable and weighs next to nothing, so shipping costs should also be inexpensive.

hi all,

I try out the lightroom 4 and it automatically reimport all files in my lightroom 4, but an exclamation mark was appeared at the corner and if u click it you will ask whether u want to update to current process(2012)..

instead of trying one of the image i clicked update everything and I closed the lightroom and started again, and i realise the process isn't appeared ok with my old file setting, so now I would like to restore it but the ctrl+z won't do since I have restarted the program, I still can set the file back by going back to history steps, but any way I can do it for all the files instead of doing it to thousand of files?

370
i think i have mentioned it before, that i am able to copy other photo out from their folder.

I wonder that no one has concerns about ftp-uploading at signelemts.
This is NOT a personal Ftp-account!   :o

Adobe Stock / Re: would you believe another sale?
« on: July 18, 2012, 11:22 »
Hi Dan,

Fotolia may have quite frequent sales, but it seems their commission is quite low. If you haven't join shutterstock then u should try every way to get in, because it will generate much more sales than fotolia..

http://submit.shutterstock.com/?ref=488923

With  only  4  pics  online  2  sales  in  15  days  (both  are  brand  new  files).  Gotta  upload  more.  Fotolia  is  rapidly  becoming  a  #1  favorite.  I  have  more  acceptance  at  another  site  so  it's  fair  to  say  they're  running  neck  and  neck  for  favorite.
With  such  small  ports  at  each  site  2  sales  in  a  2  week  period  is  a  1st  for  me.

hi guys,

Income way higher than $3 Million a year, 8 figures in sight

what does it actually mean? 1million is 1,000,000 so 8 figures in sight means 10,000,000? divide by 12, so it is 833,333 a month?

so the income is like 800k a month? correct?

Hi, i try to google more information about how to file a DMCA notice, but i still don't get a clue. Is it just a letter u sent by your own email? or is it a system you file it to? what is the website address?

thank you.

There is not a membership requirement for anything in order to file a DMCA notice against a website.  Everyone who owns a copyright anywhere in the world can file a DMCA notice.  All you have to do is follow the same instructions Google and Blogspot provided when you filed notices with them, and send the exact same information to the other website.

374
i see, thank you.

i check the DMCA website, it sees i need to pay for a membership? how is it works?

I manage to file case to google for some blogspot pages, and I am able to take down some in pinterest also.. but I have no idea what to do with other site.

It's shocking but this happens a lot. Really a lot.

123RFs watermark is really weak and many thieves don't bother cloning it out and it often cannot even be really seen.

Secondly many "businesses" use images from heroturko etc. to create products and think it's ok because they "found" the images online and online means free.

Small infringements such as this one don't make it worthwhile even hiring an attorney. Be happy if they take the design down and be ecstatic if they are willing to pay some sort of damages (only had this happen to me once).

Simply inform 123RF and send a DMCA to the company and/or web host. That should do the trick.
