At this rate (10 million images accepted average every 50 days), in just over 10 years there will be 1 billion images on there :/
Yes and this one was late because I made a note and forgot to post the Feb. 14th milestone. 70 Million new images in 2018. I don't know if the limit has been reached and the exponential growth will stop. We'll see in about 45 days on April 1st. April Fools Day

Christmas in London: a short movie with time lapses and 4k footage shot with Nikon D850 https://youtu.be/5kMU0F_Tr8U
Darn nice, so much I could learn from paying attention to what you do.

Should I hold my breath? (Probably not, I get only a very few of the big sales, and a lot of the tiddlers). Hold onto your hats, everyone and good luck.
I looked at the Account Management count, I won't be throwing confetti or popping a bottle of bubbly.
But I will like to see what's really sold, not just a couple numbers for photos and illustrations. I also have Getty sound exclusive which brings in some spare change every month. Waiting for Thinkstock to finally go dark and see if that actually brings more people over to Getty for more money or just makes them move elsewhere?
Are you still getting a lot of TS sales? I'd have thought TS subs holders would all have been getting fast-tracked to PA.
I'll find out soon and I agree, I'd think that when they stopped selling subscriptions and credits the count would drop. Hasn't stopped the .05 and similar DLs that never stop making me displeased. Hey isn't Feb. reporting the Jan. sales? We don't get actual Feb. sales until March or am I screwed up again with what's in what month and what dates?

Only 1 out of my last 10 images was sold in the US (image from a Gay Parade in San Francisco).
Others from Ukraine, UAE, Thailand and Ecuador (where I live, so there are plenty of images relative to the upcoming Carnaval festival).
I have checked every few days for the last couple weeks, since this thread started. My US sales are no more than 10% of total sales on each check, and often 0.
Has SS abandoned the US market, or do they give different search algorithm, burying my images to US buyers? Very curious to know...
I suspect, hypothesize, have a feeling... not making any claims like some people, that local images from countries will sell better, most of the time, in those countries, and not in the US. While US images will often sell better in the US. Not saying US customers don't want Carnival or Ecuador images, just that they don't want as many. That would help explain why so many people see more local images, sold locally? Maybe? Monday was a holiday in the US by the way, for many Govt. offices, banks and others. Lucky for me it didn't equal the usual stinkin' Saturday download count.

It's not right that contributors don't know and can't find out what the royalty structure is when deciding whether or not to supply images to an agency.
I apologize for cutting up your post but that was a brilliant point that stands out.

Coming soon. I just went to look at my data and got a warning, the system is updating. "Data load in progress

This whole thread is based on a misunderstanding in post #2, and some people just take the fake news as facts and that's that...
Two minutes of research and some common sense and you will realize that it's not logical to believe that a reputable business can, will, or want to have full access to your PayPal account.
Exactly! So I wonder why all you guys who know how foap works didnt tell luckyj that HE misunderstood? Nobody jumped in until I posted. Its more fun to participate in the kind of arguing and BS that most of you guys do on a regular basis.
Heres what Uncle Pete said, a few posts in. Why arent you bashing him, he insinuated that giving access was normal. Agencies dont have access, they have your email to pay you. He said Access to your paypal account, every agency I sell on has access, that's how they pay me. Talk about confusing the matter.
Cause I'm out, done, over, ta ta, bye-bye, hit the road jack and a I'm a quitter? LOL Honest I think we have the answer now. No red flags, no crocked stealing accounts, no thieving agency asking for PayPal passwords. Not really worth continuing. All yours now. As for the how low will we go, fair question you asked long ago. Is 50% of $10 for $5 per download, good or bad? I left because I didn't really like the whole social media aspects, but someone might be interested now that we know the agency is not dishonest. I don't think it's stock like most people here make, I don't know the actual market or what sells. It's a phone app agency. https://youtu.be/FscIgtDJFXgEveryone come out and play, the Sun is shining.

Though I wish Brasilnut would continue jousting with windmills (every thief removed brings the chance of my making another sale a little higher), but I can certainly understand why s/he is giving up I'm not quitting.
I'm pessimistically waiting for SS to start pulling their own weight. They did OK in the first weeks but have recently completely stopped taking this seriously...and so have I. But I would encourage others to keep going in my absence, it's not rocket science as one thief usually leads to another in the "similars" results.
Let's see how this pans out.
Maybe hard work, but you are the first one to get action instead of lip service. I think you have the gratitude of many of us. No you don't get paid for the hard work, but I personally thank you.

It doesnt matter how big you make the type, someone DID get asked for full access to their account.
LOL it does, because I just went and applied and I didn't get asked for anything but email and PayPal account name. No full access. Would someone else please just go there and check the claim that FOAP is asking for full access and stop beating me on the head for wanting to be cautious of accusations? Thanks. Great that you think I'm manly at my age, nice compliment.

I hope there will be an exclusive filter soon.
You can at least do your most recent 500 uploaded all at once by ticking the 'Newest 500 passed' in AIM. (Takes a while for the system to select them all. Make sure you don't untick anything else!)
Oh thanks for pointing me the right direction. I'm just not that tuned in to all the new Alamy features at this point.

I only heard about Foap this week. My only doubt is about the personal information thay ask you to become "verified". They ask you to grant acces to your paypal account and have all kind of personal data taken from there, such as address, birthday and others...it never occured to me that any other agency ever asked me more than my paypal mail for paying me. What do you think about this? I'd like to give them a chance but this is really bugging me

Asking for access to your paypal account should be sending major red flags up! Are people really that desperate to sell images? OMG
I don't think my English is very good. Does throwing up red flags mean I shouldn't join Foap?
Something is not clear in the statement I colored in red. The only way I know to give them access to your PP data would be to give them your PP password too and for that PP would terminate your account.
So Jafo, if they are asking for your PP email address, you can give it to them but not your PP password.
Yes and I'll try to go back to to the beginning. What if they don't ask for the PayPal password or complete access? Just the email for confirmation and PayPal email to send money. Then What? Because I was a member, and I just looked on the site, and what they request is the same as everywhere else. Actually less. "Before starting to sell your photos, make sure to have your email confirmed and your PayPal email connected in the Foap app."Can someone actually address that part without accusing them of being not trusted or somehow wrong or dangerous. I don't know how else to ask the simple question or answer the same basic point of fact. They don't ask for full access to our PayPal account. Anyone? Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Creepy, & freaky image produced. Not yet perfect, but not that hard to fix.

Everyone know how Ponzi or pyramid works and how they fail at the end? Using new money to pay off old debts until the whole thing collapses. Maybe Clipdealer isn't this but if it takes months to pay and you have to file claims and chase them, not a good sign.

4K action camera, narrow field of view, so I'm not shooting with the wide or fisheye effect or view. Anyone? Thanks for a clue. Needs to be weather resistant action camera since it will be outdoors remote, without being attended or access for hours. Weather changes in minutes in the Mid-West.
Maybe mounted something like this taking time-lapse. May I disagree in fisheye view. Shooting wide and applying lens correction in post is not that much time consuming, assuming for 30-60 second clips or timelapses again stretched to 30-60 seconds. Rendering some color correction or grading takes much more time and resources!
As for weatherproof gear, if this helps, I use and if I may suggest (as it can be found used or new low priced FeiyuTech WG2. Tested in both salt and non salt water, rain and diving in non-salt water for longer period of time. It can perform moving timelapses and seems sturdy. Bad things are, so and so App to control or change parameters and non exchangeable batteries. Separating gimbal from camera have some advantages. Camera can be used individually, can be replaced, and of course upgraded to a newer model with more capabilities Ok, can be also destroyed but still having a usable gimbal
What do you use to correct the super wide effect? Here's why I want a narrower field of view. I think I could have a larger image of one pit stall or two.

They aren't
Access to your paypal account, every agency I sell on has access, that's how they pay me.
They have your paypal address to transfer money in. That doesnt allow them total access to your account. Like taking money out, seeing all your personal info, etc. Big difference.
They don't Get It yet?

I was a member they never asked for total access to anything. DONE
If you or someone else wants to make a claim at least check to see if it's the truth.
Before starting to sell your photos, make sure to have your email confirmed and your PayPal email connected in the Foap app.
Read post #2 and direct your comments to them, they are the ones having issues. You made the remark that every agency has access to your paypal account...that isnt what luckyj is saying. Get YOUR facts straight. DONE (love how you think you are dismissing me...right back at ya) LOL 😀
They don't have full access, nothing more than every other agency, why do you keep trying to twist my answer. You say what FOAP is doing is sending up red flags. They are simply asking for the same things that every agency asks for. Do you understand?
Yes DONE, dismissed, over, see ya.
LOL apparently not done. You keep being an * to me, but I am not the one who made the original statement. But you LOVE proving your manliness to everyone here, including me. LOL
Just having fun back at you, hope you get a $1,000 sale tomorrow.

I was able to have them make everything into RF from RM, but the whole, don't forget to tick exclusive images, is kind of absurd. Lets say someone has 2,000 images and ten are not exclusive, now what? Go through one by one and change them? Or maybe I could tell them, please make everything exclusive and I'll tick the 10 that aren't? This will be the third time I'll need to got through every image and change something, because Alamy changed their mind about how they should be tagged. Not pleased.

The worst thing is they lied to us when they cut commissions and changed the level structure. Sales would double and we would all benefit. Now it shows we didn't. What a surprise.
Dishonesty and lack of respect towards contributors made me stop uploading. I now consider them one of the low earners. They used to be my #4.
Standard pitch to us, we're dropping prices, giving away images, or changing commissions, because that will make you more sales. Has that ever happened anywhere? Of course we're supposed to believe that money won't make us happy.

Oh thanks, I begged for anyone the SS forum to review their OSMO, especially one guy who said he was buying one in Dec. and if the least problem is focus pumping, NO WAY, I'd never want one. I could put up with less than perfect and small issues, but if it's like the Nikon Keymission 80 which I owned and sold because it had focus pumping or racking or whatever other names it might be, like searching and inconsistent, I don't want one.
Yes, feel free to ask me any questions...
I like it because it is super compact - but I've found there are only really specific types of shots I can take with it otherwise I get the focus pumping... They recently did add AFS (as opposed to AFC - which caused the pumping) - but then - although now I no longer got the pumping - I found I was getting blurry shots...
I also found that (ironically) even though it is/was supposed to be a stablizer - if I was holding it in my hand and a subject was relatively close to me (i.e., say 10-15 feet away) - the subject would 'bounce' up and down unless I put the 'stabilizer' on an even surface (aka makeshift tripod)...
So, it's really only great for long focus landscape shots/videos, OR - if you want to carry around a super compact camera with you. If you get any subjects walking across your FOV while doing a video, or you do a pan and there are significant variances in distance of objects - you'll get the focus pumping...
I found the RemovU (which I may consider repurchasing, even though it is a lot bulkier/larger) - was better at keep a fairly even/consistent shot for pans/etc with different distanced objects. And if I recall correctly - it didn't go haywire as soon as someone walked across your FOV.
Thanks, I'm convinced I don't want one. Like most products the sales pitch is only going to tell us the best points and not mention the flaws.
