Hello i have a question...can i or not to upload an editorial photo i have lets say on shutterstock...as a RM on Zoonar? Thank you.
I don't know if that makes sense. But of course is it possible. RM means not exclusivity. All my pics on Zoonar are RF, but it would be worth to ask Michael Krabs, the founder and director of Zoonar directly. Write an email to him!

Amazed anyone ever managed to sign up let alone sell anything!
I tried to register - said a field was missing when it wasn't. I couldn't send an email through their site mail for the same reason. And no other email address available.
Not impressive.
I gave up.
Can't understand this! Must be a mistake on your side. Zoonar has - if you don't recognized that - a new interface, may be you should try again? Zoonar is farm from beeing the most comfortable agency. But for me Zoonar is the best low earner, actually the agency belongs more to the middle tier in my case.

Thank you for this insight, I'll give it a shot.
Good luck! But be patient!

Which partners are you opted into? I supply most directly so didn't tick any. I was hoping for some direct sales from zoonar.
I opted into Zoonar API, AGE fotostock, ddp images, picturemaxx, I left out Shutterstock and Alamy, because I'm contributor there. In Getty images and Fotofinder I'm not interested longer, so i opted out (received some cents from Getty Images each month). Have not decided yet, what I should do with Pixta. Most revenues come from Age fotostock and ddp images in my case, so I strongly recommend to opt in.

But Zoonar has access to interfaces to which you have no access directly as a photographer. I have very good experiences. It took about 1 year, until I had the first sales. Now I have every year sales at prices that are much higher than the prices of other agencies. Every two or three months I get sales for 50 or 80 , between also 6, 12 Euro, 23 Euro, etc. The participation is very fair. I can highly recommend Zoonar, you just need a little patience. PS: The Getty partner sales are ridiculous low, don't activate Getty!

There are no good agencies longer, if they ever were good!
Were doomed!!!! Why be so negative I assume you've stopped uploading?
No, I have not stopped the upload. But it's just disappointing that agencies do not keep their promises. Do you remember - Shutterstock guaranteed shares for referrals for the whole lifetime. And then- Bang !. 123RF changed to the credit scheme and no one can ever reach the highest level. Fotolia introduced the $ 1-Club. And so on. Somehow Stock photography is boring, always the same clean motifs, the same imagery, everything repeats itself. While I take pictures for myself, I always think, could I upload this to Shutterstock? It develops to a creative bondage!

The period is much too short to make a prediction. But I'm curious to see how the development will continue until the end of the year!

For the first time increase my sales on Fotolia faster than on Shutterstock. The times could change. Sure, I can't still make any prognosis. And I am not a professional image producer. But over the years Shutterstock was the engine of my income from photography. Maybe we will see a change at the top?

What is interesting is that all images rejected for this "reason" were going to be RM. Some were obviously so, with logos and crowds, others were not so obvious, but I am wondering if they are trying to restrict the amount of RM photos in their database. All my RF photos have been, so far, accepted there.
But you know, that RM is not the same as "editorial use"?

All earnings blank on website. 123RF continues to be the buggiest stock site hands down.
The same here, no earnings visible. But 123RF it's definitely not the worst stock site. The agency site with the most bugs is still Panthermedia!

Why not? The image quality should be excellent, and I know two German Stock photographers, who work with the Fuji-System. If you work with models, it is possibly tricky. Models think a professional must have a big camera. But in the future professionals might have the small, elegant Cams and amateur photographers will take pictures with the old-fashioned SLRs. Who knows? My problem with modern system cameras as Fuji, Olympos etc. is that these cams are too small for my hands and otherwise I can use Nikon blind, even in darkness.

. . seriously, is it done by machine?
If you do the job, then you're at some point a "human machine". Otherwise you can not check thousands of photos every day.

You will soon recognize the christmas break in sales - but don't worry, things turn better after the holidays!

The question is, how could someone hack your account. It might be interesting, if you have used an FTP program, or the web-uploader or a special upload service. In the latter, I see the greatest risk. But even FTP programs can not be used with encrypted password in most agencies. Or maybe you have entered your password on a public computer? Or Dreamstime was hacked? Could be the worst case!

Nearly all my recent uploads have been rejected! I wouldn't mind too much if they sold some of the accepted pics as I'm still waiting for my first sale after 3 months!
You can't Zoonar compare with Shutterstock or Fotolia! I guess, you will have to wait at least 12 month ore more before you get any sales. Be patient, it's worth it in the end. But then you will get 50 percent of any direct sale of Zoonar and even partner-sales are often much higher as the revenues you get in other agencies (with the exception of the partner Getty, but it's up to you, to opt in or out). The contributor amount is exemplary fair. Can't understand, why people upload their pics f. ex. to agencies like Yay Micro, but do not seek to support fair agencies. And the support of Zoonar is very friendly and you will get always an answer. I am with Zoonar about 5 or 6 years, and I did not regret it.

I have 1400 images with Zoonar and barely make one payout per year.
I only keyword in English though... Roede-orm probably keywords in German, right?
@Michael: You say you translate keywords before sending the images to the partners. But you probably only add English keywords? Or do you translate from English to German as well?
My keywords, description and title are both in English and German. I agree, it's time-consuming and inconvenient. But I'm contributor in a few other German agencies too, so the German keywords are necessary in any case. I would prefer English keywords only, but Germany is a strong market for stockphotographs.

They pay at least 50/50 , untill now it was 60/40. But I think 50 % is pretty fair. For me Zoonar is a better earner than all the other low earners. I check my income 12 times a year, during first days of a month, because eranings are updatet once per month. In november my earnings were about 100 (with just 900 pics) and I am satisfied!
Where do most of your sales come from? My sales are very low with Zoonar but I might of opted out of sites they supply but I am already with. They seem to get most of their sales through the third party sites, so we are getting quite a low commission when two sites take a cut. Would be great if they did get more sales direct, 50% seems fair to me.
In my case most sales are partner sales. But I have exactly as you did opted out partners, where I deliver directly to.
