General Stock Discussion / Re: Coronavirus ?
« on: March 27, 2020, 02:52 »
you can thank American #fakenews media for Trump's slow reaction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKq8UYYQTYA&

You can thank Donald Trump for Trump's slow reaction... he's the biggest source of fake news on the planet! Sorry, but if it's come out of his mouth, then it's more likely to be false than it is true.

When a Trump stopped flights from China, Biden made it clear that the move was racist and xenophobic. Thats all you need to know about how Biden would have addressed the crisis. Would we now 10x or 100x the number of deaths. A scary thought.

no way near as scary as having a bigoted, ignorant narcisist in 'charge'

if Biden were in charge we would still have a fully staffed NIH, CDC and FEMA, ready to handle a pandemic

if Biden were in charge he would not have disbanded the working group Obama specifically set up to handle pandemics

if Biden were in charge we would have re-acted to the Wuhan outbreak by increasing supplies and testing, just in case

if Biden were in charge he would not 'invoke' the Defense Production Act as window dressing, but would actually USE the Act to compel production of needed medical supplies

if Biden were in charge  he would not have spent months denying the pandemic existed, and THEN claim he was the first and only one to have predicted the pandemic

if Biden were in charge he would not have ignored the recommendations of a war-game-style simulation*** of a pandemic conducted in summer 2019

for extra credit - guess who did NONE of these things?

===============
*** "A simulation called Crimson Contagion, organized by a Trump-appointed assistant secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services from January to August in 2019, envisioned a respiratory virus beginning in China and infecting 110 million Americans, hospitalizing 7.7 million and killing 586,000. At least a dozen agencies, and another dozen states, were involved in the war-game-style exercise. A draft of the secret after-action report from October, first published Thursday by the New York Times, emphasized challenges related to coordination and highlighted friction between HHS and the Federal Emergency Management Agency." WA Post

You mean that Biden, which disappeared when crap hit the fan? Like a p.u.s.s.y. ::) Even Sanders is still active.

trump's reaction has already caused enormous problems - the failure to ramp up supplies when the china outbreak started is leading to massive shortages of supplies and testing. he eliminated the obama group studying & preparing  for pandemics and ignored more recent studies wargaming the effects of a pandemic - for months he claimed it was a democratic & media hoax only to turn around and say he was the first to call it a pandemic and that nobody could have predicted what's happening now.  instead he continues  to dogwhistle about the chinese virus (WHO long ago stopped using country of outbreak in its description of new diseases)

these re-actions aren't irrelevant - they've caused many to underestimate the dangers, with entire states failing to take any pro-active steps.  the current reported cases in the US is low, given the lack of adequate testing, while trump continues to lie about testing being available to all (or maybe he's just referring to all vice-presidents, senators and other politicians)

« on: March 11, 2020, 04:48 »
You've still got the $0.60 ones to look forward to then!
;D ;D

Never had 0.6, but did have few 1.5$ sales. And every time it happend i immediately wrote compalainment to SS to opt-out of any kind of "programs". To which they reply that it is a low-res-web type of sale.  To which i reply that i will stop uploading if this happens again.

Again, had 2-3 of these sales only.

lucky you, I have about 20 sales per month with 1.5$.  >:(

Wow, thats a lot! Do you write to them?

Waste of time... they ignore everything. Even the inappropriate rejections... SS doesn't care about us.

Just one question before I go edit some more Crapstock or do something productive around here.

"Shutterstock regularly receives takedown notices from more than 20 countries, not including requests related to intellectual property, spokeswoman Hughes said. The countries are primarily in Europe, Australia, North America and some in South America and the company addresses hundreds or sometimes thousands of requests a year." quoted from the NBC article.

North America includes:

United States, Bermuda, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Canada and Greenland.

Who of those are asking for content takedown? Why? Are they getting them?

I can only imagine takedowns for "politically incorrect" media. Political groups these days are naive.

It's a weird thing that SS doesn't do anything.

they don't care... they only see $$$. The same happened to istock. So I stopped uploading. After few years deleted the whole portfolio. Now dejavu is happening again.

I couldn't find the footage among my portfolio or whole adobe stock.

Adobe Stock / Re: Search not working properly?

You don't have "vaccine" as a keyword.  Titles aren't keywords on Adobe. Add the words, and it will show up.

Does that mean that titles are actually useless on Adobe stock?

Adobe Stock / Re: Search not working properly?
« on: February 23, 2020, 02:11 »

This makes NO COMMON SENSE.

Like some of your keywords "cheerful, ordination, young-up, precision, medicals?
(should be medical)

You hid most of your keywords but you missed out vaccine for starters but I look for "young-up" and see all 58!! of your video clips

So before you blame Adobe check your own work first because you miss out essential key words and put in incorrect ones  ::)

Oh and Pediatric relates to child medicine not kids pretending to be doctors  ;)

Is this related to the search results I'm pointing out in the first post? No? Then you know where is your place. I know keywords are not perfect. But not even finding the clip via direct copy-paste search isn't normal.

Adobe Stock / Search not working properly?
« on: February 22, 2020, 02:52 »
Can anyone clarify if this is normal for Adobe stock search?

this is the title of my stock footage

and their useless search results:

Does this mean that there are many many files in my portfolio that aren't even searchable? But if I put in "child doctor" I am able to find it...

This makes NO COMMON SENSE.

uploaded 50 new files in the last month and only 1 was accepted. It seems like they are f*cking with me. I uploaded 20 thousand files since 2012, mostly no problems.

getting rejected 99.99% of uploaded footage. Only stupid reasons. This stock website is crap. It makes me go scouting all other newer crappy footage they accept and spam their email, twitter and facebook with hypocrisy standards.

66
I'm hoping somebody did a comparison between all three... fees to get the money, fees for conversion, how good is the conversion, fees for withdrawing, fees for buying goods.

Yes. I stopped the cycle with browser, and it asked me to reset my password. After doing that it worked OK.

Photoshop uses more CPU power than GPU.

Buy a PC. It's gonna be cheaper.

just another day at SS...

this was uploaded the fourth time, it complies to their rules... but I guess not even trolling the reviewer with the statement in description didn't work. Retards.

Sounds like a typical douchebag client who forces you to work for exposure, because it will get you "better" clients later. Or in other words, more exposure work.
