I love my RX100!  I bought it as an upgrade from the G9 I've been using for the last 4 1/2 and the image quality from the RX is far better.  I've only been shooting JPEG so far as there is no RAW support for Lightroom yet.  Very little noise to ISO200 in JPEG mode.  Definitely stock photo quality shots as far as noise/ sharpness etc goes.

Yes Dyxum is a great resource for Sony DSLR users and has a great lens review section.  AlphaMountWorld is also really good.  I haven't used the 16-50mm but I can tell you that the Tamron 17-50 F2.8 is also a good lens.

Not too many Sony users on the forums so I'll chime in.  I currently use the A580 which was the last true DSLR Sony put out.  I've had shots even at ISO 1600 accepted into stock so yes I am quite impressed with the image quality.  From what I'm hearing though, the A77 is a bit more prone to noise than the A580 is, but then with the A77 you get 8 more MP.  DP review has a pretty good assessment of it in their test.
Just make sure that you get good lenses to go with it.  I'd recommend the Zeiss 16-80mm for a wide-angle/zoom.  Older Minolta AF glass also is perfectly compatible with the Sony AF mount; a big "pro" in my opinion.

Depends on my mood, so I have different whiskies to suit the mood.  I will agree with RacePhoto that Black Grouse is a great blended scotch and is usually my choice for camping or as a mixing scotch.  For a smooth mellow scotch Glenmorangie Nectar D'or is wonderful as is the Bowmore 12 year highland scotch.  If I'm in more of a peaty mood I love a nice finger of Lagavulin 16 year Islay.  For Canadian Whiskey (where I'm from) my favorite is the 40 Creek Double Barrel Reserve which is a limited edition whiskey.

If you want a P&S that's stock worthy you can get the Canon G9 or 11 (the G10 had too many pixels cramped into that little sensor).

I've uploaded some from Alamy from my Olympus 4/3 format days, and I had to upsize slightly from 3264px on the long end to 3400 (24.8mb).  3350px gives me 24.08mb which is too close.

I just deleted my port from there, but I only had like 100 photos there for a couple years and only 3 euros in sales.

I drive semi truck shorthaul.  My camera pretty much always goes with me which is why I have some */ highway travel stock photos in my portfolio.

I use toonie hosting for my website (http://www.tooniehosting.ca/).  Costs me 1.00/ month for my plan but I just use my website as a redirect to my zenfolio account.  I've used them for over a year now and I've been happy with them.

Not a single sale for me on IS since the 10th, and I've been getting daily sales for the past couple of years.  Something's amiss.

I tag the photos I've sent to the respective agencies in the Lables tab in Lightroom, so if I've submitted an image to say Istock, Dreamstime and Shutterstock, I put IS DT SS in the label tab so I know that image has been submitted to those agencies

The in-camera HDR and noise reduction features are really nice.  The JPEGs are the cleanest I've ever seen (RAW is still better though) and AF is quite fast and works great in low light.  I think you should be happy with it, just make sure you have a good lens to go with it.

I bought the A55 and now use it over my A700.  The A55 with my Zeiss 16-80mm F3.5-4.5 combo weighs under 2 lbs and you get amazing 16MP shots.

Personally I wouldnt bother with the NEX series from Sony.  I've been a Sony DSLR user for the past few years and have owned the A350 and A700.  Recently I purchased the A55 D-SLT camera which uses my Sony/ Minolta AF lenses (the NEX series uses a different mount) and the A55 16MP is now my main camera over the A700 because it's just that much better a performer.  I'd definitely consider the A55 if I were you.

I have 3 batteries for my DSLR.  I dont do alot of shooting either (probably one photoshoot/week), but I like making sure I have plenty of battery power.  My general rule of thumb is to recharge once a battery falls below 40%, and I recharge as soon as I return from a photoshoot, otherwise I might forget and find myself with dead batteries for my next photoshoot.  Incidentally I've found non-OEM batteries to be pretty much as good as OEM's these days and cost alot less.

Incidentally, I use a freeware image viewer called "FastStone Image Viewer" which does a really good job of rendering images into CMYK colorspace and LZW compression.  I use PSP 12 to have the image ready in RGB colorspace then do the CMYK conversion using FastStone, works like a charm.  I never liked how PSP did the CMYK conversion.

We recognize that many of you are still working to build up your portfolios, and we want you to continue. But we also want your content to appear on veer.com more quickly. We can achieve this by reducing the weekly submission rates.

7-10 days is still on the long end for MS agencies but I'll gladly take it.  Sounds like the 50/week limit is only temporary anyway.

I originally posted that my main lens was a Tamron 17-50mm F2.8, but now I've moved to a Zeiss 16-80mm F3.5-4.5 which I would say is an optically superior lens.  The Zeiss gives me 24-120mm on my Sony A700 and makes it pretty versatile for outdoor photography.  I used to be an Olympus fan and it would be interesting to see how the Zeiss compares to the Zuiko 12-60mm (both have effectively the same focal length).

I got an email from Veer today saying they're working on reducing the review waiting times and have now reduced the weekly upload limit to 50 from 100.  I have a port of around 700 images there and am averaging around 15.00/ month in sales.

My Gitzo traveller CF tripod and ballhead with QR plate always goes with me.  I also always have a Giottos retractable lens brush to get rid of any unwanted particles of dust.  I have a couple small 12" reflectors; one aluminum/white and one gold/white that I like using in macro photography if I'm doing that.

I just had all 20 of my pending images submitted Sept 14 approved today.  Sales there are picking up so I really have no complaints. I'd rather have reviewers take 6 weeks and actually accept my images than say Fotolia who endeavours to reject the vast majority of my images for silly reasons.
