"Hansenn" was faster :-) Yes, when you request the payout it shows the $80 message (which has been $60 before)

2
To add even a little more 'spice'... recently it has changed to 'Minimum payout amount is $80.'

I just got new earnings available: $39,- uploader promo, dd 12/02/25. Anyone else?
Yes, same her:

Image   Purchase Date   Your Earnings ($)
Uploader Promo   20/02/2025   $ 19.72
Uploader Promo   01/02/2025   $ 3.15

Btw. with Panthermedia being part of YayImages the minimum payout was increased to $80 (from 60).

The new unlimited only filter is significantly reducing the visibility of non-participating contributors which may explain a recent drop in sales. Ive opted out while Im monitoring sales. May was ok for me and if June is still fine I will continue to opt out.
My wife and I don't even have this unlimited only switch.
Presumably neither of us was chosen to take part in this exquisite programme :)

We didn't notice any change at Shutter - sales in May were at a completely normal level for us at around 450 and 250 DL.

I read people are uploading 200-300 a day, so I am not sure whats the point of this limit - so they wont upload 600 a day. Does it make a difference at all
The difference is that the image factories (i.e. bots and scripts) can no longer upload 10,000 images a day - the last limit was up to 10,000 images.

With the current 200, 500, 1000 submissions per week (I haven't heard of any other figures so far), there can be significantly fewer image flood uploads of endlessly identical motifs that automatically copy and upload the top images again and again.

I myself am currently at around 1,300 accepted uploads per month (photos, videos, AI images mixed with an actual acceptance rate of 70%) - so around 320 per week and I'm probably already high in the uploads of the non-bots :-)

6
My numbers have dropped significantly in recent weeks... currently 56 downloads (it should be around 70-75 on Wednesday afternoon).

What's much more dramatic is the fact that I haven't sold any videos for exactly 14 days normally I have about 10 video downloads per week, currently exactly 1 video download in 14 days.

Something has been changed in "the Algo" again, which has completely removed my videos from sales...

« on: May 19, 2025, 12:55 »
If I'm not mistaken, the 1x per year Connect payments are included in April, so that looks pretty good this month.
Without these Connect amounts, April would have been well below average...

8
This year the FreeCollection provision has been reduced by 20% - I'm really looking forward to the offer for videos :)

But all in all it doesn't matter anyway - last year I had 990 nominations (only photos, I guess they don't want AI images) of which 24 were accepted, so a 2.4% acceptance rate.
This year 968 are nominated so I can probably count on 23 or 24 theoretical acceptances - so it almost doesn't matter that it should be 20% less $ per picture.

If we now combine this with the current catastrophic reviews, we can probably expect that this will not develop positively :)

Very nice! When did you begin to upload content to Dreamstime?
I just checked my statistics - the first download at Dreamstime was in February 2019 (started with stock images in August 2018).
(My best year at dreamstime was in 2021 with about $180)

Uploading is very easy, sales are slow. In 2024 I made exactly 100 dollars while adding 2700 files and reaching around 4600 uploads.
Now I have around 5k files and this year so far 10 dollars.
My goal is to reach 100 dollars a quarter one day. And perhaps in 10 years 50 dollars a month.
Probably needs 30k files for 30 dollars a month or something.
All fingers are crossed :-)

I currently have 50,820 files (including about 3,000 videos) and $72.10 in 2025 so far - but since your pictures are of better quality than mine, the goal of $50 a month is definitely achievable!

If you write less on forums, you can shoot and upload more videos. This is an axiom.  ;D ;D ;D
A statement that certainly also applies to you too ;-)

Whenever I try to post (ask) something, the form is open, I can write,  but wherever I choose to send my question, the portal dissappear, and I don't get the chance to chat with the person responding.
I also get the reply in my mail, but whenever I click on the link l, support portal opens and disappears again.
I have the same problem and tried different PCs and different browsers too - so you are not alone with that... which unfortunately doesn't help you either, sorry.

I strongly assume that this is exactly the plan at Shutter, because support would have to be answered and they're really not good at that :)

A somewhat below-average week, it has been extremely quiet since Thursday...

Adobe Stock / Re: Update on Similar Refusals
« on: April 30, 2025, 16:04 »
@Raul
Thanks for the info!
It's definitely good that we now at least know that there has been a fundamental change.

I've read through the help page, but I still can't tell now before uploading why some of my (for example) safari images will be too similar and others won't.
In order to be able to assess this before uploading, you would have to do a search in the entire Adobe database for each image beforehand - actually, you would even have to do the search before you take the image :-)

I don't think this is realistically feasible for the contributors - it would be far too time-consuming for the providers, who are already under a lot of cost pressure.

From the Adobe side, I understand that - you want the widest possible collection with optimal results for the customer. And of course it's about making money, that's clear :)

In my personal opinion, I see the following scenario here:
-> The more variants you could theoretically upload, the higher the chance that more variants will go through, so the system is more likely to reward the image factory spammers who actually caused the problem.

Nonetheless, thanks for the info :)

Same here, did not work with chrome - logged in on Edge and everything is fine.
Seems to be the cookie set by Chrome...

seasonal images can take up to 3 season to get regular sales. customers have very, very long planning times. you need to build up a following of regular seasonal image buyers and that takes a very long time.
Maybe we will see that next year ;-)
Had the same effect last easter (and christmas), my for that season are not that new but they never started - they probably just drowned in the flood ^^

17
You both are doing very well - nice to see :)

I had a terrible week, Saturday had 3 Dl - the complete week is "123 Dl, pos 3.560, RpD $0,76"
(By the way, out of my about 270 easter images I had exactly 1 Dl this month...)

After my AI work I am 95% back to camera stuff... with the actual chaos in rejections you have to ask yourself whether uploads AS still makes sense at all and I don't see that at the moment.

It's the economy, stupid
Always funny to read such comments - what do such people smoke?!
It makes you realise again why humanity is going downhill ^^ Thanks for the demonstration :)

In my case the sales are quite normal, currently between 25 and 30 a day.

Adobe Stock / Re: Files being removed from port
« on: April 12, 2025, 18:50 »
In the discord the removed files include simple color backgrounds that supposedly break adobes terms and other weird examples.
What is the point of that?
In my case 36 files were removed and the example image shown is a background of an old wall with some paint and structure on it.
(see screenshot)
This does not make any sense at all :-?
Content isn't just being removed for compliance reasons, but also because it is similar to other content you have submitted.

I had one removed yesterday for 'similar' reasons, and was quite cross, as the only other image I'd submitted from this location was quite different. However, when i checked a little more carefully, it was removed because I had accidentally submitted, (and had approved), the same image twice over.
Yes, on the one hand it is about similar content within the Adobe collection and on the other hand about content that supposedly breaks the guidelines.
And I don't have a fundamental problem with the fact that the guidelines need to be adapted from time to time.

The problem I see here is that we contributors are left completely in the dark. There is no reasonable statement about which images were removed and why.
Just a link to your own rejections, which you can't sort - in my case there are more than 10,000 files in there (which is not surprising with 64,000 online files).
I have absolutely no chance of finding out which other 35 images have been removed, because I have no search filter and the images are not sorted at the top of the rejection list, but are sorted by upload date... which is completely nonsensical, to put it mildly. You do that if you don't want the contributor to be able to find it :)

To put it briefly and directly:
-> no problem that you have to customize and maybe also clear something away sometimes
-> a big problem is the lack of transparency and the complete lack of communication with the contributors (who ultimately make the business possible, at least so far)

And we'd rather not even talk about the currently incomprehensible rejections :-)

On Discord there have been several instances of people complaining about images that have been removed, but I have found that the exact same images are still online in their portfolios with different file numbers. So for anyone wondering why a file has been removed please check your portfolio and see if you have a duplicate of it still online.
Good advice - I just tried that once and didn't find the image from my post in the AdobeStock portfolio, so it wasn't a complete duplicate.

What I found in the search are such images that at least explain the deletion of similar images:

Example 1:
- https://stock.adobe.com/de/images/texture-of-old-rustic-wall-covered-with-gray-and-blue-stucco-multilayers-of-old-paint-on-the-wall-textured-background-selective-focus/886762746
- https://stock.adobe.com/de/images/texture-of-old-rustic-wall-covered-with-gray-and-blue-stucco-multilayers-of-old-paint-on-the-wall-textured-background-selective-focus/886762672
- https://stock.adobe.com/de/images/texture-of-old-rustic-wall-covered-with-gray-and-blue-stucco-multilayers-of-old-paint-on-the-wall-textured-background-selective-focus/886762924

Example 2:
- https://stock.adobe.com/de/images/close-up-of-concrete-and-brick-wall-cracks-in-the-wall-selective-focus/991545827
- https://stock.adobe.com/de/images/close-up-of-concrete-and-brick-wall-cracks-in-the-wall-selective-focus/991545804

The fact that such clearly recognizable duplicates are still included is very strange - but the deletion is yet to come.

The process is still running and today on Saturday another 7 pictures disappeared from my portfolio and I have no idea which ones they are :)

Found the contributor settings - they were scrolled out of the window bottom left.
But there is no opt-out option for the unlimited subscription in my account
You probably weren't selected... your photos don't please the gentlemen of SS  8)
You could be right about that and I wouldn't mind not being selected for the Unlimited program :)

But maybe Shutter has already removed the Opt-Out switch for some contributors ;-)

Opted out immediately ;D ;)
I am sure I am blind, but can you help me where to find that ppt-out switch?

Trying to find it for about 10min now, but cannot find the contributor setttings... pretty sure its time to look for some glasses :)

Edit:
Found the contributor settings - they were scrolled out of the window bottom left.
But there is no opt-out option for the unlimited subscription in my account - just:
- Image licensing
- Video licensing
- Image data licensing

P5 non existent for me in 2025 so far.
