Little better than expected. Makes up for previous weak month.
I AM wondering what the recession will do to purchases of stock images. I know that Advertising is pulling back because people are reducing their overall buying right now.

One thing Getty is hot on is IP/copyright violation. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the Shutterstock library which is absolutely full of violations.
They will have to clean that up. Also get rid of all the ai content that is creeping in without being declared ai.
I'll be glad if they will be doing that.
I keep jumping up and down about this and am not getting an answer. As one who has had my images stolen from istockphoto and uploaded to shutterstock, I do wonder how Getty is going to handle the large number stolen images in the shutterstock collection. I hope they are not depending on us photographers to spend our time locating and reporting them, as shutterstock did.

Well I was surprised to discover that I got $36 in AI Services. Should I be happy or should I cry?

Well, this is unusual for me. I had a better October than the last two years. So, I guess I'll take the win.
And there weren't any big deal sales ... all just ordinary sales.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the Shutterstock contributor business and I'm looking to connect with a friend or mentor who can help me improve my skills, solve problems together, and grow in this field. So far, I've sold 5 images and I'm eager to increase that number with the help of someone experienced.
If you're willing to collaborate and grow together, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you!
Best, Pea
Noticed you removed our portfolio link to Shutter! Nice try buddy. Need to ban this person and report to Shutter!

This morning was the first time I used TinEye to see where my images from istockphoto are being used. I immediately found one of my istockphoto images, uploaded over a decade ago, being sold at Shutterstock. It had been uploaded over there in April of this year. For anyone else in the same predicament, there is a page at Shutterstock where you can report Copyright Infringement. https://www.shutterstock.com/terms/dmca-noticeIt does make me wonder if Shutterstock does any checking at all. I was able to find this copyright infringement in just a few seconds. They ought to be doing a quick reverse image search for every image submitted to them. My stolen image is located in this portfolio: https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Mapotsi

I'm having a hard time downloading the proper text document. Anyone else experiencing this issue too?
Until I get that downloaded and imported into deepmeta, I'm not really sure how I did. Although the total royalties are available, I can't seem to find how many downloads there were.
________________________
Looks like I jumped the gun on downloading the text document. Should have waited another 20 minutes.
So, royalties were down 7% and number of sales were down 14%.
In fact, daily sales throughout all of October have been down for me.

Apparently some people got an email saying that there would be some sales from previous months in this month's Royalty Statement, and apologising for the lateness of this reporting. I didn't get the email.
Yes, I had two past sales reported, one from March and one from May of this year.

Good month ... based primarily on increased numbers of downloads. The most downloads for this year.

Nice. Out of curiosity, how many images do you have in your portfolio?
Sorry, I'm new here. Mostly video. I probably should have stated that. About 5,000 clips.
Nice monthly income. Keep up the great work.

Not bad for this new "era." $920.45 in July, down from $1,150.59 in June, and about half of my BME, which was in December, 2019.
Nice. Out of curiosity, how many images do you have in your portfolio?

iStock now allows Generative AI retouching, see their forum and contributor portal for guidelines.
With a great number of restrictions

And no, they weren't AI images that I had uploaded, but if their automatic system says this is AI, that's probably their reality.
What is it about an image that triggers "AI Image" to the reviewer ... do we know. Can we guess?

I would open up a ticket and discuss this issue directly with them.

I got one today to tell me 42 of my assets have been deleted. But there is no info about what assets they were. It would be nice to know what to avoid shooting.
Do these assets have any specific thing in common? Do you have any guesses why they are being eliminated?

Not that relevant since Adobe offers many of us free access to all apps or to LR/PS.

Have you used the new website he's created ... deepmeta.creativ.zone
Yes, that's what I was referring to as improvement. And what happens with standalone monolithic DeepMeta app? ...
I still find the DeepMeta app the easiest way to upload my images.

Deep Meta stats are large improvement, but how many man hours have gone historically into that overblown tool. Someone has to pay for it, and guess who it is. I'd rather have something bare bones with decent (read respectful) compensation rate.

i had a good month, best month ever actually.
Congrats, yuriy, on your good month. Keep it up. I'm down over $250 from the previous month, so a little bit disappointed. FYI, I'm really liking the new DeepMeta. It's helping me visualize the types of images doing best on istock. Makes a difference in my output. As much as I like coming up with all new stuff, I need to focus on what sells and deliver more of that.

In this article ... https://9to5mac.com/2024/06/06/change-to-adobe-terms-amp-conditions/it states ... A change to Adobe terms & conditions for apps like Photoshop has outraged many professional users, concerned that the company is claiming the right to access their content, use it freely, and even sub-licence it to others. To Repeat: Adobe is claiming the right to access users' content, use it freely, and even sub-licence it to others The company is requiring users to agree to the new terms in order to continue using their Adobe apps, locking them out until they do so Adobe says that its new terms clarify that we may access your content through both automated and manual methods, such as for content review. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

I have two suggestions: 1) Allow us to sort by master ID. I'd like to see if my newest additions are selling and; 2) Not limit the screen to just 10 images. 100 would be better.
Today, it does look like there are more than 10 images/page.

I really appreciate this new feature. The positive feedback I receive DAILY helps encourage me to continue creating & uploading. I now don't have to wait til the end of the month to get this data.
