Just few facts from my point of view
In last 20 sales I had two that were not a subscription.
n this month sub sales have outnumbered regular ones for at least 4 times for me.
I had way more regular sales before sub came , so I think that proves that subs model its puling nice part of the regular buyers.

I finally got my hands on Lenovo 220x few days ago , I had to order it and wait few months for it cause its been sold out here before it reached the stores.
I can tell you only the best about it , but try to find some reviews on the net or find it in a store and try it yourself and you will see see what I am talking about. I dont know of a monitor at the market that can compare with it for that price , not even close , only thing i, t doesn't look to modern , but that doesn't bother me.
The price over here is about 600$ , but Im sure you can find it cheaper especially in the US.

I got 6$ this week too , I'm thinking as I don't need any images and I want make to the another payment , maybe there will be more people like myself.
So maybe we could wait for LO last few days , write them a mail to transfer all our remaining money on someones single account and then he could send it to someone that it really needs , I suggest UNICEF.
Just a thought.

I had a payout at FP yesterday. If I didn't have my portfolio there, I wouldn't had that payout. If they start flying, I have a healthy portfolio with increasing value, if they go down the drain, I've lost a few hours clicking on their website. No big deal.
You have 1268 pictures there and had a payout yesterday. So are you saying that's $100 (FP minimum payout) so far this month and you're earning about $150 per month there?
Sorry if I'm jumping in, but FP minimal payout is 50$

Well , I'm not promoting myself nowhere at no cost, I don't have a personal site as a matter effects. I do the keywording anyway , the images are uploading trough ftp and I never had a problem with that in opposite with some "big ones", so only thing I have to do is to price the images one by one , in a site that has one of the easiest uploading process.
I'm getting payouts from there every month , so they must be doing something.

I never use default settings , Just look at the photo and use it to your needs , use profile image option , and if you have suspitious areas add them manually in the profile. Sometimes is good to use few settings in few different layers for noise reduction , and use layer masks on them , cause you have different amounts of noise on different parts of your image so single profile might not work well.

I see Chode was faster , anyway I used noise ninja here

There is some noise in the blues , and Its alway easier to take care of the noise in the sky like this than the cloudy sky , cause running clouds trough noise reduction you loose details on the cloud and get artifacts. The way to handle that is to use layer mask on the noise reduction layer. I have new monitor and I didn't have the time to calibrate it properly , but I'm almost sure that there is too much magentas here so your snow is kind of reddish. Well anyway hope you don't mint that i tried to fix it a bit , I run it trough noise reduction , changed white balance a bit , a added some sharpness only to the rocks.

I think that cant make things better, If someone wants to do all that , he will start browsing trough most popular images, and get his "ideas" there anyway , so whats the point ?

And than again , Im certainly out ha ha .
Rejected again, , thats not what we are looking for reason.
Well those who are trying to pass it know the problem , they reject all backgrounds and more stock oriented stuff for thats not unique enough and we have plenty of that reason , and advise you to try with more cartoonish stuff which requires some drawing , and then you get we dont need this kind of stuff.
If I got a rejection that this is not technically at their requirement level or something else I wouldn't care so much , but again the stupid reason ,we don't need that kind of illustrations at this time knowing that most of stock oriented vectors will be refused for we have enough of those.
I'm thinking of writing a mail to support , first time in 2 years , I never complained at any site about any rejection , but this time I would just like to get a more specific reason then their default one if I already have to wait 90 days till my next attempt.

I use lot of textured brushes in my work , so I use it for shooting textures. Fits in my pocket , and you don't need any special quality photos for that purpose.

Here is my second try. I gave more attention to the worm and the main fish , made completely new worm , gave some textures to the sand , shadow to the main fish... Well I think sand looks better but I'm terrified to put 2 gradient textures on a gradient background without blending options and send that to IS reviewers. Anyway here it is

Thank you for all your comments , they have been more than helpful , and I guess I will be going back to work now , I will post the modified illustration soon I hope.
By the way bittersweet , I meant if someone wants to check the eps more closely file that he can PM me and I send it to him.
I think that is good thing if comments are on the forum , cause maybe in future someone will find them useful , I know i did when other people were were asking advices on various topics.
Thanks again to all of you

I'm one image short to be approved there but the last 2 vector illustrations I sent them were rejected , so if I fail this time I will probably wait for months. Apparently they don't want background etc , so I made an underwater illustration and Im not sure I should try and submit it or not. I would appreciate any thoughts or advices cause I'm into vectors just for few months now. If someone with more experience with illustrations has a minute and would like to do me a favor and check the vector file more closely I would be great , just PM me. Thanks Well Here is the image:

I dont think I will ever use that
First they say its water based , so it cant possibly do nothing with greasy spots , and you will still have to use swab method , and the dust that it handles well , can be blown away in most times and thats way more practical and faster method .
So its not a real competition to swab method but for air pumps , and even if you use disco thing you will still want to blow some air cause if you start going with a brush and you have some bigger crap like peace of sand or something you could do some damage.

Without sounding too condecending, you ain't going to notice a lot of difference in quality between a 24mm and a 24-70mm using a 40D, both lenses are top quality and can give great results.
If it was me out of those two I'd go for the 24-70, but then to be totally honest I wouldn't choose either, in the situation you describe I'd go for the 24-105mm, that way you can shoot landscapes and have a bit extra reach for some wildlife.
Either way it sounds like a nice trip, have fun.
I had those exact thoughts and I went for 24-105mm. I may have been unlucky and I got a bad copy but my lens sucks big time. Soft , but I mean "soft" all under f9 but the biggest problem is chromatic aberrations. Recently I had a chance to try another copy , and was even worst than mine.

Well 2 moments come instantly as a flashback at this topic. I was saving for months for my first SLR 2 years ago. Few days after I bought it I went to a friends boat and I was shooting lighthouses. Suddenly a speeding boat passed near us and huge wave was going in our direction. Our boat was missing a window just where I was standing and I put the camera quickly inside the boat trough that missing window to protect it from the wave. Unfortunately the wave that was coming also went in the boat trough that same window , a gave my camera a long cold bath. It was a compete damage so I had to buy new one. The lens survived , it was 70-200 f4 L and I highly recommend it Second stupidity was not so long ago , I was shooting my first wedding , everything was going great. They told it was going to be a pause after the ceremony so I can rest for an hour or so , so I put my batteries to charge and had a tea cause I caught a cold few days ago. In a moment people jump on me to go and shoot a huge group photo with about 300 people at a city square. I took my camera and run quickly , and there were 300 people standing on some stairs and waiting me for some time. First thing I saw was my zoom lens that i forgot to change , I was all in panic , cause I couldn't push 1/5 of all those people in a shot. I run to take my wide lens and 5 minutes later when I come back people were going crazy standing there in a small rain. I turned my camera on , but , what , I forgot my all batteries , and If I go away again I risk that someone kill me in anger. So I did a set of shoots without batteries , people were smiling , changing places , and I was just pretending to shoot. I was just waiting the moment when someone will notice that my flash ain't working , but no one did. In the middle time there were some kids with PS cameras shooting near me so I ask them If I can use their photos later , and I had some work in photoshop but it turned out well.

Hm , could be they don't accept files larger than 25mp too , I know that they don't accept anything over 25mb for sure.

hello,
As far as I know SS does not accept image larger than 25MPixel. I see lots of images at 6000x6000 (36Mpixel). How can this be ?
Thanks
Konstantinos
They don't accept images larger than 25MB , resolution is not important.

I only know that in my case SS beats all of them together , and it beats them good.
Even per photo? You have about 4,800 photos on SS and only 572 on IS.
Why would I care for high earnings per photo on IS when I dont have a chance to upload most of my work there ? Only thing I care about is total income , and that pays the bills. I started with stock 2 years ago , almost at the same time at SS and IS and the fact that I have about 10 times more images at SS its a result of IS policy. IS gives me 2 times more per photo , but I have 10 times more photos at SS. IS is rejecting half of my work in 90% of the time is because that they do not find it suitable for stock.
