123RF / Re: is there more sales on 123rf
« on: September 23, 2015, 20:21 »
For me it's almost similar to poll results, 1/8 of SS income. (but it's 1/11 so far this month, things can still change.)

However, my 123RF port is larger than my SS port since 123RF accepts almost all the files I send there.

Laurin will be referring to his own and his friends training videos. He just likes to be mysterious sometimes.

Some people like to pretend that they are miles ahead of others...

Here is another user that seems to be copying designs...

Here are two examples that I noticed...

1. Original file (it was uploaded much earlier) :

bf87's updated copy of the gray "FREE SHIPPING" truck and the orange, green and blue badges:

2. Mike McDonald's original file:

bf87's updated copy of the yellow "Special Discount" badge:

I don't know whether bf87 just copied the older designs or perhaps he actually downloaded the vector source files and updated and re-uploaded them, but it cannot be a coincidence, because there are too many similarities in the design (the text, the fonts, the shapes and colors).

He has also uploaded the same files to several other popular stock image sites.

Fotolia and all other agencies should ban these cheap people...  >:( >:( >:(

123RF / Re: Need batch editing in 123RF
« on: September 15, 2015, 02:18 »
123 has the easiest upload system of all agencies. No categories and the country specification is not mandatory, unless you want your images to show up in a certain country.

I edit all my images before uploading (title, description, keywords) and the system (on all agencies) reads all the data. It takes 1-2 minutes to upload to 123, depending on volume.

That's the problem

Their site upgrades always end up in more bugs rather than solving existing ones.

Most major websites offer batch editing facility where you can select multiple images together and edit their information (keywords, titles, country, etc) simultaneously. 123RF website is currently going on so many changes. However they still don't offer this facility for their contributors which can save lots of time for them. Otherwise selecting country for each individual image is such a pain.

I feel an improvement in sales for FT but quite timid. Let's see what will be in future...

Your portfolio is delicious.  ;D

Thank you very much  :) I try to improve my skills in food photography. I'm glad if I made you hungry  8) It means that I'm on the right track.

I started to scroll down your port in Fotolia, and I got more and more hungry until I saw that brain and liver which made me almost vomiting.  ;D
Your definitely have good skills in food photography. Good luck!

BTW, sorry for dragging it out of the topic. FYI, my subs are in a marathon run.  :-\

289 / Re: Resubmitting Rejected Content
« on: September 09, 2015, 04:08 »
Now reviewers are going to reject more as no one is gonna complain, but resubmit.
Also, rejections means more pay for reviewers, as they get more and more resubmissions to review.
I'm not sure where this is gonna end...  :-\

General Macrostock / Re: RF and RM in GI
« on: September 09, 2015, 02:25 »
I think 'op' is correct, most of the early images on a subject are categorized as RM even though most of them now goes as RF.

Isn't editorial a separate collection?

292 / Re: Resubmitting Rejected Content

I've done that. Re-processed image in PS that looked much better then the first time.
Do they accept two differently processed versions of same image?

293 / Re: Resubmitting Rejected Content

Q: how about resubmitting previously approved content?
A: Use the new option: Previously submitted content with corrections

Why would someone do that?

If you disagree with a content review, you do not need to contact us, instead you are welcome to resubmit your content for a secondary review through the normal submission process.
Simply upload your rejected content and after you click submit, select the "previously submitted content" option from the drop down menu Note to the Reviewer. Your content will be reevaluated while taking into consideration the previous rejection reasons.
To learn more about our review process and standards, we recommend that you read the following article from our Support Center:

123RF / Re: Is 123RF Responding to site issues/mails?
« on: August 27, 2015, 21:09 »
I have tried over and over to upload video via FTP and the 123RF site won't accept the files.  It uploads the entire file then starts all over again on the same file it just uploaded. I have contacted them via their contact form and still have not heard anything back. I noticed that some of the links on their site do not work, either. 123 has the appearance that something else is going along the lines of not enough resources or they are giving up, who knows.

Has anyone had any recent response from them?

Have you tried live support? I contacted them recently regarding some site issues. They started to reply almost immediately. Then went offline when I asked about some site issues. How rude... Seems like they are not interested in addressing any issues.

No problems here... may be send them an email.

123RF / Unable to change the copyright information
« on: August 20, 2015, 06:10 »
123RF does not allow contributors to change their copyright text or portfolio name. 123RF shows the contributor's website login username as the portfolio name and also as the copyright text under their images. If a contributor wants to promote their business under a specific brand name, they would like to use that brand name as their portfolio name and as their copyright text. Therefore, it would be great if 123RF allow contributors to change their copyright text or portfolio name.
