Did you put them in the parent category as well as the child category?

Not at first.

I just tried it. Adding the image to the parent category did change the count on the category list. It counts the image twice. 3 images put in both the parent and the sub category shows (6) images in the parent. However, I still don't see any of them when clicking on the link for the parent.

Issues with Multiple Pages of Results?

Added a couple dozen images to a category and get the following error at the top of that category on page one:

Warning: DOMDocument::saveXML() [domdocument.savexml]: xmlEscapeEntities : char out of range in /home/stompsto/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/network-manager/communicator.php on line 259

Image Categories

I created a couple of sub-categories and placed some images in those categories. The sub-category shows in the category list as just another category, not under the parent category. The parent category shows there are images in that category, but they don't show when that category is selected.

The attached screen shot shows this. I have 4 images in "places/travel". 3 of those images are in the "United States" sub-category (places/travel is the parent). When I click the United States category, I see my 3 images. When I click on the places/travel category that shows 4 images, I see nothing.

Wow - child categories! Your going all-out aren't you? You deserve a giant bug-hunter trophy - big golden magnifying glass and net. I'll get on it! Although I might disappoint you by setting it up for no child categories allowed! But I will fix this so the next test download fixes it.

your-site ... go to  /wp-admin/options-permalink.php

Is permalinks set to "post"? Should fix it.

I'm guessing thats it. Same thing happens with network results if permalinks are not set.

I found a small bug I guess:

When I try to write some text into the "Customer Area Greeting" on the "settings page" of Symbiostock it won't save apostrophes properly.

The final result adds a \ in front of the '

So it's impossible to write "don't" -> it will look like "don\'t"

Leo, I see that you apparently uploaded a new version of Symbiostock today.

Can I simply copy this over the old version and expect everything to be ok?

Thanks for pointing out the \' problem. Its an easy fix.

Leo, when I upload photos bigger than 4Mpix, they are not processed (no preview, no transfer to symbiostock_rf, only IPTC values are ok). I tried to upload big ones (about 20Mpix) in Wordpress->Media->Add new, everything was ok. Maybe Symbiostock upload process is more memory consuming? PHP memory limit is 64M only...

Is overwriting an option as I have uploaded some custom logos etc. into the theme folders  ::)

I guess my behavior should be punished with 10 slaps on the fingers using a bundle of Ethernet cables...  :-X

The way to do that is to upload to your wordpress meda area, then copy the URL from there to the settings area fields.

Don't upload anything directly to theme folders. It will be gone when you update!

Can you set up a dropbox account and send me the files? I'd like to try it on my own. BTW - I have my PHP memory limit set to 128, and higher on my server.

Doing a little research on the library I'm using  ( http://wideimage.sourceforge.net/  ) yes it is possible its a little memory in-efficient. If its an issue, I'll just swap out for something else that does a better job. Now is the time for such adjustments.

this is the error:

Is this the transfer project you were doing? Not just a fresh install correct?

no it's a fresh install..

the thing is I am running 7 sites on a hosting plan.. only one of the sites is on the root directory.. the other 6 domains point to subdomains on the hosting account..

it is like

www. mymainsite.com points to >>>> /

www. othersite.com >>>>> /othersitefolder/
www. othersite2.com >>>>> /othersitefolder2/ (this is where symbiostock is installed)

they are not subdomains of the main site.. but the hosting plan only allows the main site to be in the root.. I had no problems with any other themes before.. I guess I won't be able to install it until the subdomain issue is sorted..

Yup! Thats it - the subdomain issue. Its a few details in the way path variables are set up in the theme. Just a few minor tweaks. *however* might effect some other things, so I have to test it quite carefully before I release that particular update. Its my biggest priority in the bug-hunt though.

Without changing my page the \ keeps multiplying. Now I have \\\\\\\\ already lol.

Thats funny. I think I'm done for the day, so I'll just set up the latest zip so you can update your site with a cleaner working version.
By the way, for that cute little bug you will have to delete those, and then they will not come back.

OK I don't know what just happened but after I did the installation of the new, updated Symbiostock the "End User License Agreement" bug was gone and I could finally access the agreement from the product page.

Now, after using the new installation for a while, it's not working anymore and just reloads the product page :O

Tested it in FF and IE, I cleared the cache and everything. How is that possible?

Have a good night!
