So the worse an agency treats you the more you will do marketing for them.

If you don't like them for whatever reason, you can feel free to share why not as well.

The same person posting the same news in different threads is regarded as spamming. I have shared in great detail both on msg and in my blog why I don't like Yay. They are unscrupulous.
unscrupulousA new word for me, googling it i think it goes for most agencies.Let's give them the benefit of "new administration" before judging them.

We will share commissions on a 50/50 basis. Pricing for video single sales, will be as follows: SD: $49 HD: $59 4K: $149
Right now the big question is: "Is this really serious?"
First of all for some reason they are trying to spin that they are newly formed. Yayimages is not newly formed, they have been around at least 4 years if not longer. 4 years is by no stretch of the imagination newly formed.

They still owe me money from 12 years ago...
As I am considering uploading.
You need to apply for submitting videos (they don't sell them to the public yet). I understand that they are likely to take some appropriate editorial images and videos but it might be on a contributor by contributor basis depending on what they think might be in demand. Steve
I closed my account about a year ago.I asked them to pay what they owed me, but they never did.Yesterday I received this email from them:Hello, hello! Here at the newly formed YayImages, along with new owners and management (working from home), we are undergoing some changes. As one of our valued contributors, we would like you to be the first to know about some new initiatives at Yay. First, customers can now purchase your images and vectors for $4.99 each, on our refreshed website. We are seeing strong traffic and sales growth with the new single sales model as customers start to prefer paying for what they need, when they need it. Some contributors are starting to see average image sale prices move up. Second, as you know, we are refreshing our contributor dashboard and moving more services away from yaymicro, to the new https://contributors.yayimages.com/ dashboard. Third, we are launching video footage single sales. The pricing model will be single sales only, customers pay for what they need, when they need it. We will share commissions on a 50/50 basis. Pricing for video single sales, will be as follows: SD: $49 HD: $59 4K: $149The first step you need to take to become a video contributor, is to login to the contributor dashboard and request approval.Once approved, you will be able to easily send your mp4 and mov source files, through sftp. With the current stay-at-home measures around the world & the work from home movement, we're seeing a high number of requests for video content. Click here to login and request approval to become a video contributor. Stay safe!Together in photography,Alex @ the YayImages Team
Hello again!A brief update about where we are at with our video contributor technology. We have recently launched video pricing tiers. This means you can price all of your videos or just one individual video at another price point.Existing high quality contributors are grandfathered into the "Premium" tier. New contributors will start at the "Regular" tier. After uploading 100 approved videos, you can apply for the "Premium" tier. Here's how the new pricing works: "Budget" (HD - $5, no 4K) "Regular" (HD - $24.99, 4K - $59) "Premium" (HD - $59, 4K - $149)Some videos, like a time-lapse or a less offered content drone shot or a video shot with a DSLR at 4K higher bitrate has different value than a GoPro video for example. To solve this problem, you can now reprice existing approved videos by clicking the checkbox next to the desired video, in the "Videos" navigation tab.

Regular is priced way too low, in my opinion. So I've applied for Premium tier. hopefully this will be applied without any hassles. I've uploaded my entire vector and video portfolio last week, let's see if that brings me any sales.
Has anybody sold anything there lately?
03 cents says my dashboard and I don't know for what!

zilch, zero, none
So far zero sales, only 2 cents for promotional use by YayImages.
I have found some of my images. When they said they were closing the old site and we needed to opt in to sell our images for unlimited subs on the new site I didn't opt in. I thought all my images had been deleted when the old site closed. Turns out they eventually just opted it all in without permission. Also found my images on partner sites under their name. Other people have reported closing accounts on YAY then finding their images still on sale by YAY on partner sites YEARS later. eg. on this thread:https://www.microstockgroup.com/yaymicro/yaymicro-legal-solution-ideas/msg544725/#msg544725
About the RPD of 0,05 I got informed a few month ago. Enough reason to delete my portfolio there, but was to lazy until today. But the # unlimited DLs packages for $29 per month # forced me to delete all images just now, one by one. uff. Finished! But of course my portfolio still shows all images, so I did not delete the whole portfolio/account. I left ONE image and will prove, if all others will disappear for sure in the next days.
Also found this https://www.microstockgroup.com/general-stock-discussion/the-most-valuable-agencies-for-selling-vectors-in-2019/msg542682/#msg542682Looks like they were making sales and not reporting/ paying contributors. This also rings true for me, I found a lot of my images on partner sites through YAY where I make a lot of sales yet no sales through YAY for the same images on the same sites...Anyone know if Morphart got any satisfaction or posted an update? I have PMd him asking of he wants to chime in here.
Thanks for the update. Also worth mentioning they have no contributor terms on the site. Link is broken. Has been like that since I first tried to read them some time ago. May be worth trying to delete a couple of images, they seem to not care and will continue to sell them. You may want to verify for yourself. This is a nightmare from a site I thought I was done with.

Who is to say the new management is going to be just as shady? That said, the site seems dead to me. No sales, nothing. I've spent quite some time uploading and tagging my portfolio, but if RPD and sales are low, it seems to have been a major waste of time.
Got my first couple of sales.A pitiful $4 per video download, apparently some cheap ass subscription sale. I put up my videos in the Premium tier at $59 per video, 50% commission, but they sell for this cheap? What a joke of a site. I'm going to delete my entire portfolio, can't believe I fell for this crap.
Open_ how much per sale have you got? Because I had there only $4 sales...
Are there people still uploading to YAY? even after all the posts here?
Yayimages is my worst nightmare in my 12 years of being a contributor.
By the way they do not reply to any of my messages. They just ignore my questions...
Same, flat $4.better than SStock 0.84c/clip
Quote from: Open_ on March 02, 2021, 12:29Same, flat $4.better than SStock 0.84c/clipI don't know how anyone could be satisfied with $4 per clip. That's pretty insulting. I was considering submitting some commercial videos of mine to Yay but now I'm glad that I didn't. I think I'll keep my distance from this agency.
What the heck, did they change the minimum payout to $60? I'd swear it was $30 earlier?
