Selling Stock Direct / I created my Patreon shop« on: January 12, 2025, 10:00 »
Hi all,
I finally did it and created my Patreon website. https://www.patreon.com/c/user/shop?u=27262724 Anyone here selling there ? Any feedbacks welcome ! I think it's a lot more worth it as was my Symbiostock site, way too expensive and time consuming. At worst it will be another online portfolio and a place to sell directly. Best wishes and happy new year 2025 BTW ! 4

It's beautiful.
I had around $80 earnings last night. I was $75 this morning, and now it shows $63. They will make negative revenues soon, it's coming, these guys are genius ! 6
General Stock Discussion / Re: Motionarray« on: January 02, 2025, 05:47 »
EVen better than that ! I had $1081 yesterday for december earnings.
Today I have only $1118. The new commission rate is probably retroactive. Ah! Ah! These guys are funny #istocksyndrom #shitterstockstyleforever 7
General Stock Discussion / Re: Motionarray« on: January 01, 2025, 05:35 »As of January 1st, they changed the way they calculated royalties, so there will be less money now."While this will mean higher earnings for some, it might also mean less for others." That is a big comic punchline ! "Please note that following this update, it may take 2 to 3 months for the earnings estimates on your dashboard to reflect accurate data again." These guys are funny 8
General Stock Discussion / Re: Photo Justice: Top 5 Tools for Stock Photographers to Combat Infringement« on: August 07, 2024, 04:57 »...and Potentially EarnVery useful post, thanks !! Unfortunately the agencies helping finding thieves don't seem to do this with videos, animations... 9
Shutterstock.com / Re: Mass infringement on shutterstock and its failure to protect original artists« on: July 17, 2024, 04:41 »Quote Usually, you need to report only 1 infringement per a thief's account. They'll close the entire account of a thief. Just write "There are so many others on this portfolio that are stolen from my portfolio."Unfortunately several times I had to report multiple thieves accounts selling my contents, and took the (endless) time to make a list of my original files and links to their copies. Shutterstock only deleted the files I had selected and they did not delete the accounts. Unbelievable but true!! Shutterstock is down beyond anything, with Getty they are the scam of this stock business 10

iStockPhoto.com / Getty contributor account hacked reported since 15 days: no answers« on: November 20, 2023, 05:35 »
After receiving an email from Getty:
"Dear Getty Images Contributor, We received and processed a request to update your payment information or email. For security purposes, if you did not initiate a change please: Sign in to your Getty Images account to check and possibly update your current payment method and email address. Please contact contributor services immediately by responding to this email and informing us that you didnt initiate a change to either your payment information or email. Change your Getty Images password. Thank you, Getty Images Contributor Services" I tried to sign in to my contributor account but the password was changed and the thief also made a secondary password. I made a ticket support on nov.7th and never had any answers yet (apart from the automatic response when you submit support ticket), despite other emails from me reviving them. Have no access at all to my account. Thank you Getty 13

Message to this forum's dev/admin : can we have a minus (-1) link option to dislike some messages in this thread...
For example those from M. Hayward ? Considering the interdiction of opt out from Firefly, which is a shame and puts from now on Adobe Stock on the same level as Shutterstock and those alike (which says it all). That may be a least for us contributors in this forum... ![]() 15

Envato / Envato Market Author Terms (No opt-out : just leave or submit)« on: May 12, 2023, 04:10 »
We hope this email finds you well.
We want to let you know about some important changes were making to the current Envato Market Author Terms that affect you as a creative contributor to our platform. Envato is committed to supporting the creative industry and empowering our Authors to share their skills and talents with the world. As the industry evolves and technology transforms the way content is created and consumed, our updated terms will help in embracing this changeallowing us to continue to work closely with the creative community to unlock new opportunities for increased earnings. So, whats being updated? The most significant change in this update is in regard to our license to your content. Were broadening the scope of Envatos use of your items to unlock new revenue streams. The updated terms allow us to enter into agreements with third parties to expand the distribution and usage of your content across all item categories on Market (third party arrangements). Examples might include: Distributing your items on content platforms across the globe. Developing generative AI models that use your content. Developing a test/build environment with a third party to build new product offerings, features or services. To avoid doubt, where Envato enters into a third party arrangement as described above, licensing terms will not include rights for that third party to publicly perform, display broadcast or communicate your items for their own specific purposes, ie. for marketing and promotion or incorporated in End Products. Our Author Agreement now also includes the addition of perpetuity to our licensing terms. For example, if your content is used to train an AI model, it may not be possible to make the AI forget any learnings from your item. This means that if you decide to take your items down after the updated terms become effective, your item(s) may still be used, in some capacity, by a third party. The Envato Market Author Terms are also updated so that the indemnity you provide to us includes indemnification against any third party claim relating to a breach of your warranties in respect of your items. This update is generally consistent with the Envato Market Terms. How will payments work? You will be paid whenever Envato receives payment by a third party for the permitted use of your Market items as part of a third party arrangement. We do not have the details of future arrangements so we cannot provide you with the fee payable to you. However, this additional usage will be reflected in your Earnings Statement. When will the updates take effect? These updates will take effect 20 days from now, on 1 June, 2023 and are available to be viewed here. There is no need to take any action to accept the updated terms. But if you do not want your content used in this broadened capacity, you will need to remove your content from Envato Market before the changes come into effect on 1 June, 2023. By continuing to use Envato Market after this time, you agree to the updated terms. We appreciate your continued support and membership of our community and look forward to helping you thrive in this ever-changing creative landscape. Team Envato ----- Well BYE BYE and mostly farewell Envato ! :-) 23

3 video sales last night = 3x 2,80$ where it would have been 3x 28$ before. ![]() An average of 1000$ lost each month. I don't think any average workers would be excited with such cut on their wage sheet <complaining mode off> |
