I tend to forget that not everyone has upgraded theme before, sorry. For anyone else if this happens - you may have to select another theme - 2013 or something, delete symbiostock, install symbiostock , reinstall child theme (do not delete child theme) ~~ Regarding the number of sub-categories. I have no idea how many is the limit, I have quite a few . The number of main headings is limited by the space available, if you have too many they will spill over onto the next line.

- If the vertical line is removed can the different licences be each on their own line (otherwise button can be on line line and licence description on the next if three or more licence options)

It was an excellent suggestion for selling a one off image but not quite so practical for a variety

Doing something like that is fine but does not answer my question as the best way to go about putting licences up on the site and whether to offer multiple options or not

I have a lot of new images I am uploading and am thinking about offering an RM as well as standard licences and will remove the custom licence if they sell as standard.
Has anyone else done this?
I know we can add varioius custom licences but would it make sense to just do it on exclusive usage, maybe 12 months exclusive usage worldwide and to contact me if they want anything different?
I would be interested to hear your thoughts or how you are dealing with this

Just to confuse that last bit even more , I live in the south east of England. Perhaps it depends where you live how it is referred to?

Mostly because I did not understand it, terminal app and unix shells are not in my vocabulary and I have reached the stage where things need to be easy to understand so I can get on , without spending a few days learning a new language before I can start

I could not find that file but worked it out by going in and finding the list of users Next problem - all I want to do is make a back of of mySql - not learn a whole new language - hot backup, warmbackup, cold dump ?? http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-backup-excerpt/5.5/en/backup-methods.htmlMaybe I will have to trust the Justhost on this one and use their version ~~ Just finished downloading so about three hours to download all files recommended by Shazam - now I have it twice on different drives I feel a little more relaxed about it

Just sent you an email Leo, the Wordpress Excerpts feature has gone missing again since one of the upgrades.
I just need a confirmation from both of you that this is the case. In both cases I've checked things and nothing should have changed.
I have not checked with latest upgrade yet but excerpts was missing from the last one. One thing if it is easy to do - could the size of the Slug box on the edit page be enlarged so you can see the whole thing as you can the title to easily check it please

I have looked at lots of different back up systems but cannot find any that suit my pocket (not spending more money till site pays for itself) and patience.
Current plan is to back up to external hard drive, duplicate back up and then redownload after changes telling Filezilla to only download/overwrite new files. Then duplicate that and repeat.
Does this sound reliable? I have already downloaded to one hard drive and am downloading again (with lots more images added) to another one at the moment with full backups.
This just leaves the MySql backup. I have four of these (maybe for my three wordpress installations and a spare) does anyone know how can I tell which one goes with my main symbiostock site? (I also have test symbiostock site)

Although you say four dollars when you speak, it is normally written as $4
Is this the sort of thing you are looking for?

Congrats! I'm surprised that self-hosted still doesn't rank in the polls. Start voting people.
What do the poll results actually mean? It is not percentages so is it amounts of money in 100 or 1000's or ??

Not yet, I did a site download to an external hard drive last night and will do another full one tonight as I have re-done a lot of images today.
I did start a free trial of SiteVault but first it stalled and then I realised it was backing up a lot of stuff I did not want it to and I could not work out how to choose. A Cloud (they always sound so insubstantial and unreliable to me) might be the best choice but not until the site starts really earning it's own and my keep

Why vote, why not just a notification system? That way if you find a lot of images coming up that when you check the description as well and you consider they are still wrong and will damage your searches just exclude that site from the results ? I do not know if they come up in the symbiostock.info network results but would not in your own.

mine is long as well with lots of information, especially on past versions. I am reluctant to touch other than a few edits in case I break something

One "advantage"of having to re upload most of my images is that I can now keyword in phrases instead of singe words , for instance cavalier king charles spaniel, singlely there is no king but it is a valid keyword. Descriptions are also searched and as someone mentioned tne other day they were looking for bird and some of my cat pictures came up, valid due to description
It would be good to have some kind of alert system for keywords that bare no relation to the images though and I would support this, especially as the network grows with people who have no experience with stock, better than blocking them
