Hi Everyone, Each year for Adobe MAX ( https://max.adobe.com/) the Adobe Stock Development team works to release new features. This year I am pleased to inform you that Adobe Stock Contributors will benefit from two of these features. Feature One: Starting right now, all Adobe Stock Contributors have access to create their own customized web page using Adobe Portfolio. Historically, Adobe Portfolio has only been available to Creative Cloud members as part of their subscription. This is still true UNLESS you are an Adobe Stock Contributor! The best part of this in my opinion is that the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal is now connected with Adobe Portfolio. What this means for you is that you can create custom Collections in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal and feature them in your Adobe Portfolio page. You can customize Adobe Portfolio to fit your needs then share your Portfolio page or individual collections. The images have a clickable link for potential customers to click and buy directly through Adobe Stock! This is a fantastic way to showcase your work and drive sales to your contributor account. I spent some time playing with this feature and I have to say that Im personally very excited about it. I was able to change the order the images are displayed in each collection and update the cover image to what I want. By default, the cover image has the Adobe Stock watermark on it. My personal preference was to have that removed so I customized the gallery and updated the cover with a non-watermarked version. You can see one gallery with and one gallery without to see what I mean in my Adobe Portfolio page linked here: https://haywardphoto.myportfolio.com/ The gallery titled Africa with the elephant image and the gallery titled Favorite Stock Shots with Hamilton the Frenchie are both Adobe Stock galleries. Feature Two: Contributor of the week. We are now showcasing the top photo, vector and illustration contributors each week. This is a great way to see in real time what is actually trending in the market. I strongly recommend you check this out every week for motivation and inspiration. Contributors will be featured automatically no more than once every 5 weeks. The featured contributors are selected automatically based on sales of content submitted in the past 6 months. The top ten contributors measured by the upload/sales ratio are featured. I hope you enjoy these new features! -Mat Hayward

I met the qualifications before the email went out, but haven't received anything. Does it matter if my current cc subscription is under a different account than my stock account?
Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No, that doesn't matter. The code will be emailed to the address associated with your Adobe Stock Contributor account. -Mat

Never got my code and am well passed the requirements
I haven't received my code either. I did contact support earlier and supposedly I'd be in the next batch. But if another batch has gone out - ccbcc mentioned receiving one this week - then I'm puzzled.
Hi Jo Ann, Moments ago I received an updated list and see that you are on it. I'll reach out to you via email to make sure you are all set. Thanks for your patience, Mat

I'm not the best source of information for Creative Cloud questions. I recommend you contact customer service through Adobe.com with any specific questions you have about your subscription.
Sorry I can't be more help on this.

What happens when a subscription ends? No software, everything stops working. I've read that the cloud storage stays for a year, so good news you don't get locked out of your own files.
Is the subscription by month or actual date? If I subscribe today will it end Oct. 31st 2019 or Oct. 4th 2018?
This Scott Kelby article does a good job answering your question: https://lightroomkillertips.com/happens-cancel-lightroom-cc-subscription/-Mat

My point exactly. Sort of the kind of thing you would hope to be informed about explicitly and officially. If the assumption's right, that is, of course.
Nothing has changed regarding exclusive contributor commission rates based on Fotolia credit based sales. This change only impacts the minimum commission amount on subscription sales. Thanks, -Mat

Hi Matt - I was pretty excited about this because I had over $935 in earnings between Jan. and July of this year alone (as of this month its well over $1,000.) I've been watching my mailbox patiently, but it's been more than 8 weeks since the initial announcement and I have still not received the email. So now I'm wondering if I misunderstood the terms of the benefit.
Contact us through the contributor portal and we'll take a look. If you have that much in earnings and still haven't received a code it would be for one of 3 reasons...the email was overlooked by you or went to spam (sender is CompEXT), you haven't had at least one image approved this year or your approval ratio is below 50%.
-Mat
Mat, now I am confused. I met the sales criteria, had an approval rate over 50% and had more than one image approved this year as of the date of the first announcement of this program and I have not yet received a code as well. I contacted support and understood that they have not yet sent out all the codes. Are you saying they have(sent out all the codes for people meeting the criteria from "day 1")?....should I contact support again?
Thanks
Yes, if you were qualified on day one you would have already received the code. Submit a request for information through the contributor portal. -Mat

Hi Matt,
Just out of curiosity, are there any free codes left? I just passed the 300 video uploads mark, but also passed the $500,- mark three weeks ago.
Sjoerd
Wondering the same thing! We earned the photo code back in the first round but just qualified for the whole package and are hoping we did so in time as it's such a nice bonus.
Yes, there are still codes available. -Mat

Thanks for the update Mat. Has anything changed for contributors, or was it behind the scenes stuff?
No changes that impact contributors that I am aware of at this time. thanks, Mat

Fairly sure the answer is "no" but....
I activated my LR/PS free code about 3 weeks ago before realising i'd also qualified for the full CC package.
Is there any way to transfer this 3 week old code to another adobe CC account (a relatives)?
I'm pretty sure that once redeemed, you cannot transfer a CC code. Contact customer service through Adobe.com however as they will have a more definitive answer for you. Yes, there are still codes available. -Mat

I have some suggestions for better contributor (user) experiences on Adobe Contributor portal. Can I post it here or somewhere else?
Thanks
Sure thing, would love to read your ideas. Posting here is fine. -Mat

I'm at 494 as of august 24th. Surely that's more than $500?
At first Adobe Stock support told me I didn't meet the criteria, that I was at $494. I replied that it was 494. Then they told me to wait for the next batch of codes.
Now I'm not convinced that the automated system takes into account the difference between and $.
If you don't have 300 files approved this year then you will need to earn 500 before you qualify. Sorry for any confusion.
-Mat
In an earlier post you wrote that 1 Fotolia credit = $1 for the promotion. So it is 500 credits, and not 500?
BTW, I just passed the 300 approved files mark today.
Yes, my mistake. I apologize for the confusion on currency and earnings requirements. Congrats on the 300 approved file milestone. -Mat

I understand different agencies require different information when indexing. In addition to the yes/no poll above would you please elaborate on your workflow? For those of you that do embed metadata with both a title and description, when submitting to Adobe Stock do you copy/paste your description in the title field as an additional step or do you simply submit with the title you had listed originally?
Thank you!

It's more than two weeks now. I'd like to know whether Adobe plans to keep licensing vectors. I can't believe "maintenance" requires suspending uploading for such a long period. This is really unacceptable from the #2 stock site.
Yes, we definitely intend to continue licensing vectors. We appreciate your patience and I will be sure to update you as soon as I can. Thanks, Mat

I'd rather see Adobe/Fotolia use the description from my image metadata rather than the image title.
Its a pain in the ass having to copy and paste descriptions to each and every image upload.
[/quote] Moments ago I posted some incorrect information about the impact of the title in Adobe Stock search. I have recently learned that there is some weight in Adobe Stock search based on the title. It's important to note the the title should only depict the core subject of the image using words that a customer would consider when trying to find it. I'm curious how many contributors add a description in addition to a title in their metadata. I will start a new thread with a poll. -Mat

Matt
It is intriguing when stock agencies deploy time and money to develop features that will only be used by exclusives on their site. Doesn't everyone who is not exclusive get their files ready for upload in some system or other and then upload/submit to all at once? Could this be used by someone who submits to many sites?
As a matter of interest, are there are large percentage of exclusive artists on Adobe/Fotolia?
Steve
That's a fair point Steve. If you are embedding your metadata before uploading, this particular feature won't do much for you. However, it will be a tremendous help for new contributors learning the wacky and oh-so-fun world of stock indexing and as you mentioned for those that upload to Adobe Stock exclusively. In my personal workflow, the auto-category feature is the biggest time saver for me. Regardless of exclusivity you need to select a category. I can simply upload, attach releases and submit everything at once. Yes, of course I'm biased but not when I'm uploading and submitting. I want the flow to be as easy as the rest of you want it and the system as it stands is pretty dang seamless in my opinion. In addition, while I don't use the auto-keywords to index my files, I do like to check out the recommendations while researching and embedding keywords offline. . I may do the same with the auto-title now that it's available to use. Another way I can see the auto-title feature helping veteran contributors. Recently, I uploaded a batch of approximately 150 images I had done all my indexing in Bridge but as many of you know, this can be a long, tedious process. For whatever reason, I missed the title on around 6 or 7 of the photos. While yes, it's a minor nuisance in the grand scheme of things to improvise and add the title manually in the portal, it is a nuisance nonetheless that disrupts my flow. Now, when it happens again (I guarantee it will) it will be as simple as clicking the title bar and selecting my favorite of the options. In other words, it doesn't hurt to have it available when you need it. There are plenty of other great features for you in the works. Stay tuned! -Mat

Hi Everyone,
Earlier today we released a time-saving feature to the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal. Adobe Sensei now detects what is in your image and recommends up to 3 titles for you to use automatically. What that means is that you can now upload a file to Adobe Stock with no metadata embedded and the system will have up to 3 titles for you to choose from. This is a bit different from the auto-keywords as the title won't automatically populate the title box. It is instead, a drop down option should you want the Sensei recommendation. With auto-categories, auto-keywords and now auto-titles you can theoretically upload content and submit it to Adobe Stock while spending virtually no time indexing.
Give it a try for yourself when you have a moment. I have been pretty impressed with the results I've seen so far.

Jo Ann, Could I ask you if you've now received your code? I am in the same position - have now had uploads approved but so far no code has been sent.
Thanks, Pablito
Not yet, but Mat had said that he wasn't sure when the next batch of codes would go out - I'll post here when I receive mine
I've just contacted Adobe - they said wait another 3 or 4 weeks.
The most recent set of codes were sent out this past Saturday by CompEXT. I don't have the list of qualified contributors in my possession at this time for confirmations but I should soon. Thank you, Mat
