I shoot teathered and import directly into Lightroom so I can check focus, compisition, exposure etc. Its.a lot easier looking at your photo on a large monitor than a 3 inch screen.. I still trigger my stobes with a remote.

I've got the kit lens, a fish eye lens and the Panasonic 100-300 zoom. The kit lens is sharper at the wide end. I always use DPreview to look at full size photos before buying a camera http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmcg3/20
I did look there and liked what I see. Time to start bidding on ebay now

I've got the Panasonic G3. Great camera, there's a newer G5 out now and rumours that the G6 will be around soon. So if you really want the G3, it might not be around for long. Or it might be worth waiting for the G6 and getting a cheaper price on the G5.
I like the electronic viewfinder with the G3 and use the camera more than my Canon 550D. The only negative is that it can be a bit slow focusing with a long lens but I think the G5 fixed that.
Can you tell me what lens you chose to use and can you show me some examples?

After getting my hands on an Olympus ep I did not like the idea of holding a camera away from my eyes looking at a LCD in bright sunlight. Now I am looking at the Panasonic g3. Any good or bad reviews.

My other hobby is metal shaping and many of the people do make videos and sell them directly and and on sites that specialize in the hobby. They usually will put part of the video on YouTube as a sample

As a follow up -- all images shot with my new Canon G15 were (standard) rejected by IS. They were shot in filtered natural light at 80 ISO with minimal post processing. They were just not sharp due to the lens quality and small sensor. Back to Best Buy it goes.

I wonder if tbe quality is actually the reason. I would like to see a photo with an older 6.2mp cannon or nikon compared with the quality of the g15 and the other 4/3 cameras. Or are the inspectors just looking at the metadata and rejecting

The Pen E-PL1 set me back about $230 which included a nice bag, spare battery & charger, 16GB card and a 14-42 kit lens. I couldn't believe all this for a little over $200 bucks.

Has anyone used a giga pan head?
I use it - great tool. Can't use Hugin on my Mac, it hangs the box... and Photoshop exports need really attention - sometimes I had ghosts, sometimes exposure problems - it takes too much time to fix for me. Don't know other software.
I am thinking purchases one, can you show some examples?

About 8 years ago the USPS want to compete more with Fedex and UPS on the 1 and 3 day delivery. But they were stopped in their tracks by Senators and House reps that were lobbied by UPS and Fedex. They now are stuck with only smaller packages and the uncompetitive daily mail delivery.

Unions help in all occasions not some, they set the benchmark in wages and benefits, without unions the wage and benefits are a race to the bottom as we are seeing now. Again your claim about pensions is false and misguide.
The top 10 pensions that were lost were due to management failures, just like Hostess.

Ask congress why the USPS has a separate pension plan, it was them who set that up, you also failed to comment on the pre-paid pension plan. Last year they actually would have made money of they did ot have to pay forward. No other company in the world has this kind of plan, and getting rid of the post office is actually unconstitutional. You have the talk of fox new down perfect, under your analogy any pension plan will fail under its own weight. Again the facts do not support your opinion.

Yeah the privitied railroads for years were doing great, that is why they havd to have gov subsidies to keep them afloat and get special tax benefits too.
The USPS has its own version of SS so your point is ignorant and inane. They are the only union/company that has t pay forward in vast amount to pay for the benefits of futre not existing employees. That is why they are unprofitable at this time
And before you talk about the coal miners, the companies that own them are some of the largest recipients of OSHA fines, they repeatly ignore the warning and put their employees at risk. Read about Bloody Harland county and know the history of the mining industry before making such a comment, now you are just showing fox style stupidity

I would put those lens in the same quality as your kit lens. Even though I shoot Nikon I also looked and tested, the Tamron 17-50 and was not happy with the results.

I did a little experiment the othe night and went through he top sellers on Vetta, Dreamstime, and a few others and was able to find many top sellers online in large sizes/ So the problem was around much long before the Getty/Google problem. The Google image search just made it easier for thieves to find these images
