It is sad for Venezuela...Socialism at its finest or should I say at its worst. It our Dems in America win they are the new Socialist as they even state and brag about it these days. Look at Venezuela and for me I want no part of Socialism. As a side note I have done a lot of conceptual Socialism photos and they are selling very well. Some are pro and most are Anti....each sells but the anti sells the best. .
Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. America is a county of social programs - fire, police, parks, schools, libraries, etc. etc. where society works together to provide something all can use. Discussing adding another program like universal healthcare should not be a trigger for you to run around going "SOOOOCIAALYZZMMMM!!!! BADDDDD!!!!! VENEZUELAAAAAAZZZ!!!". Democratic socialism is far different from what they have in Venezuela as well as it is their government that is the cause of most issues.
I do know what I am talking about. Sean try paying 70% of tax on what your income is. That is what the New Socialist Dems want. They have even stated that amount. Comrade Bernie will need at least 70 % to pay for all your student loans, free college for future student ,free heath care for all including illegals. 70% may in truth be low for the Socialist Dems. Yes I forgot the New Green Deal. You will not be able to use anything but solar or wind power. Who will pay for this yo Sean..it is Socialism.

As an American, I offer you my sincere apologies and good wishes going forward.
Please know that many millions of us are unhappy with the status quo here and working hard to change it.
As millions of us are very happy with the status quo in America and are working to keep America Great.

I have uploaded about 60 editorial images to this time. Most of them have been approved. I have sold a small few but that is great because it is clearly new sales. Thank you Adobe Stock.

I use to get about 400 dollars a month from iStock , now it is around 100 bucks a month. I will stay the course until it is zero. Something is better than nothing. No one else will send me 100 bucks for just sitting in my lazy chair.

Don't forget about small. the 6000 cameras are small and light weight. When you are carrying around cameras and lens weight and size dose matter.

I found this image on eyeem https://www.alamy.com/sam-jam-session-2017-image269818639.html and just found another one with some other photographers name under the listed name of photographer?
If it turns out your work was stolen and if it were me I would sue the person who stole the work. The only way to stop theft is to hit them in the wallet. Hopefully this is not the case.

Lets see. 300 dollars an hour for an Attorney that is semiconscious. 600 dollar's an hour for a good lawyer. All you could sue for are damages. At 38 cents per sale if any sold.....The Attorney has a good business.

Upload only to the top 6 or 7 sites. The rest are clearly a waste of time.

I meet Yuri a couple of times at a conference in NYC. Yes he did have a big ego...Biggest I ever meet and I have been around some world class big heads. He told me at the time, maybe eight, nine years ago. He average 40 bucks per loaded image cost. He said he tried to load at least 100 images per session. I thought at the time that would not be a very good ROI on future earnings. Maybe that's why no one has heard much about him. Even if 40 bucks was a stretch I am not sure you would ever make a profit , just long term losses.

Very long article and a little BS in it. Here are my thoughts for what it is worth about the article. It seems to drive the point stock photos are really not very good and photographers really don't know how to price their work. In the 80's I worked for one of the top photography studios in Dallas, Greg Booth. Greg was a GREAT photographer. He charged a day rate of 5k a day and worked maybe 100 days a year. Greg had what we called an eye. The eye was he could see what most could not see. A truly talented man. Sadly Greg is talking pictures in the heavens now. What made Greg a top imager maker is that he worked with top art directors and even thought the images were Greg's, the Art directors would take creative ownership in his images. Making those images great in their own mind. The big difference of those images, they were exclusive to the client. Todays Stock images are just as good as those maybe even better. Now we stock photographer have no outside art director and are not exclusive to buyer. No one today that I know makes anywhere in the 5K day range. Todays stock is not bad, just different. Todays photographers are just as creative and maybe more so with digital. Stock photography is not over just changing in the wind. Some really smart person will change the rules again in a few years for stock and be ready. If you are only doing stock for the money maybe you are really in the wrong industry.

Not sure if anyone wants to share/show your photos. I for one have been on this forum for a few years now and would love to see the pictures of folks who post on this forum. If you do want to share your work just copy a link to one of your stock photos sites. I will start it with mine, assuming I copied it correctly...Thanks, Scott https://www.shutterstock.com/g/mj007?language=en

Yes the Alamy payout is a strange beast. I do believe they are a very honest company. Sometimes it can be three or more months for a payment to happen after a sale. I guess it is all about the Benjamin's, as long as they are coming life is good.

I use to sell about 2000 dollars a year in photos with Dreamtime. Now if I am lucky it is maybe 200 dollars a year. I guess I should feel good that I do still have sales. If I could turn back time. I think that Crazy Socialist woman Cher said that....
