Microstockr calculated them (said we are calculating partner sales, etc.), gave me a figure but my total didn't change  :-\
i'm new here so i have to ask-does it mean u can see partner sales before they are officially reported on iStock? in case u can, do u need to be subscribed on smt or not? or to make my question simplier, is there ANY way to  see pp sales in real time?

Nope, still nothing here, it was just my wishful thinking :/ Sorry Lanana, I'm relatively new too and haven't been using Microstockr for long so wasn't sure why it was recalculating things. It was nothing!

Not sure if that's normal but I thought maybe I would see some change in dollar value later today.

Just when I thought I was starting to understand their reporting, I have some today and yesterday and can't find what it is for. Does anyone have any idea? I've checked PP, subscriptions and straight DLs.

This really is the worst site for finding what sold!

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Where can I see my downloaded files?
« on: July 13, 2016, 22:03 »
Hi Irena, I'm still learning where to find it all as well. If you're in "my account" down the left side click on "my uploads" then depending what the sale it you can find it here. On the top right of the list of files, click "last DL" to bring the sold files to the top. If it is reporting for the previous month click on "image subscriptions" on the left side under My Uploads then click "last sub DL" to bring the sold files to the top again. And you can do the same with "partner program" which are being reported now for last month.

Thanks for your replies. I don't really sell enough to justify paying for a program so I will try making an Excel spreadsheet.

I'm also trying Microstockr which so far looks good and saves checking each page individually.

Anyone have any suggestions?

183
I've been keeping a very crude record of my files and sales and figure there must be a better way than I'm doing it.

I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations. Are there any programs specifically for stock?

It's just the current thing/bugbear. Previously it was (I don't know how international it was) "I was, like, 'what do you mean?!' and he was like 'Don't go off on one'." Before that it was the Aussie rising tone at the end of a sentence.

So, I haven't noticed we raise our tone at the end of a sentence, I thought that was more an English or maybe Irish thing?

Thank you ShadySue, I would never have looked there for information. It really is the most confusing site!

^^ Again, congrats.
This was what I got in May from Getty (not G+):

To think that once I was really eager to be able to upload to Getty, and dead chuffed when they accepted me (some old scheme via iS, not a Getty 'house' photographer). I'm glad I never took them up on it! Strange how things pan out.

ShadySue, where do you find that information you've posted above quoting Getty Images. I haven't found any information like that at all.

FTP usually works for me whereas they often disappear when I use web uploader.

$35 was a much nicer pick up than mine too  :o

I'm also having trouble finding them! Thank you ShadySue as I didn't realise how to put them in order.

IS is the most difficult site for finding sales, I wish their reporting was better.

I have a 23c and 24c sale (not today), just thought those amounts are strange.

I believe Goober's wife is only taking his images, not images belonging to others. At least that's how I read it.

A lot of them will tell you which releases are acceptable to them. I think they all accept the Easy Release which is a phone/iPad app. At least any of the ones I submit to accept it. It's so easy to use and you always have your phone with you, it's all I use now. I think you will find the one you've already got will be fine with most agencies though. I had trouble getting my own accepted at a couple of places.

Envato or Photodune?

Edit: no, it's there, I just missed it.

I wonder if they read these forums at all? I also wish they would lower their payout. Maybe if we all requested a lower payout it might happen?

I've found they are not just fast but seem to be accepting more as well.

Yes, I have! I was getting sales most days but sales fell off when everyone else's did too. I barely get a sale at all now but I have lots of views. I was hoping they were going to be delayed sales that might show up later but it doesn't seem to be happening :/

195
How can you check if it is in the free section? When I first started to upload I realised I had left it ticked for free so I emailed them and they removed it but I can't see how to check any of my files.

Fantastic! I'll be celebrating when I get one of those ;)

I'm looking at my views and they are higher than ever this whole May especially the last 10 days when sales dropped.. confusing ???

Same here Lana, lots of views but no sales. I went from sales every day to one in two weeks.

Congratulations, that seems so far off for me but hearing that people can still make it is motivation for us newbies.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I live in hope  ;D

I love hearing these stories, keep them coming :)

I'm hoping it's just the ebbs and flows and things will be back to normal soon. My approval rating slipped just under 50% with two uploads being mostly rejected. Maybe that is a reason too. I can't find any policy about acceptance percentages.
