We can now request payout at $25.

I wish I had known about the increase in uploaded/approved photos. I fell short by just 4!! I guess I will plan to do better this year 🤷‍♀️

Congratulations to all that receive the bonus.

...I haven't received a code, even though I've sold over 10,000 licenses in the past year...

Did you upload files last year? In addition to the sales rule, there's an "active contributor" rule:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

"An active contributor is an Adobe Stock contributor with at least two (2) submitted and approved qualifying assets in 2021."

I wondered why I haven't received a code and have found that I didn't upload at all last year! I didn't realise, I would have made sure to upload  :'( :'(
I will start uploading for this year!!

Thank you Firn. I've found a few old threads on this same subject and they say the same thing. I can't imagine the book will sell more than 500,000 copies! This particular image has been sold 39 times for a total sum of $20.81. I wonder if they will give me a free copy of the book 😂😂

I guess I should have known this but expected a little more than subscription prices for a book cover.

5
This might be a silly question but shouldn't I have received an enhanced licence for the sale of the image? I've only ever had small sales of the particular image.

6
It's a hard decision for me as I only have a small portfolio and I need almost every sale I get to qualify for the software package. It's very tempting and I have already marked some available but I just hope it doesn't come at a cost of receiving the software. Maybe there could be some kind of compensation like x number of downloads would equal one normal download?

In the last three years one was just under $250 gross and two were well over. This year will be touch and go. I only have a small portfolio of 1,000 images but only a small percentage are exclusive. I will change that after July to no exclusives.

Some of the wording is a worry also so will reassess next month. They certainly won't care if I'm not there.

« on: November 14, 2020, 04:16 »
They accept most images submitted so why not try to submit some and then ask them to pay you after they have accepted them?

$100 payout is ridiculous. My last payout was May 2018 and at this rate it will take me another six months. I do like Dreamstime but they just don't sell enough. I average two sales per month  :-\ Time for me to ditch them also after my next payout.

I would guess it's a cacheing issue of some sort.

Yep, just cleared the cache and it's fine... thanks.

Can anyone access "My Alamy"? I can go into Image Manager but not the Dashboard

That has to be costing a lot of money. It was down for me about 15 hours ago and still down this morning.

123RF Decided to Trump Shutter's new pricing scheme thus we have to pay them a dime for each photo sold  :(

Has any of it been fixed yet as overnight my May balance has returned to showing sales.

It's just May that has a zero balance for me too, the rest is fine. They say they are aware of the problem.
This happens at my 123rf account every month at the 1st day - some month have wrong values, sometimes balance is negative, etc.
About a week into the month the number are correct again.

I am sure they are "aware" of it for at least a year ;-)
For me it's usually fixed pretty quickly after the start of the month but it's not been fixed this month. I hardly have any sales there at all otherwise I would be more concerned.
I think OP has a different problem. I experienced something similar last year, there were a lot of refunds of my pictures, I went negative the next month. I was very disappointed because they didn't even bother to inform me about refunds, no emails, nothing. Istock, dreamstime send an email even for 0.3$ refunds. Someone said that they are run on autopilot now, they lost interest in microstock project, put they efforts on another projects. That explains a lot about this falling agency.

I think you're right but I figure if txking also has a zero balance for May it might explain why at the start of August the balance was even more negative than previously.

May 2020 is showing as blank on the monthly figures but when you drill down into daily stats, the figures are all there confirming earnings. Their system seems to be really flaky.

I contacted support about my balance being wrong. I have had an incorrect balance at the start of the month before but it always rights itself after a day or so. This time it hasn't. Support replied very quickly to say they are aware of the problem and they are currently working to fix it. Maybe that is what has happened to you also. The sales are there but the end of the month says zero.

Alamy.com / Re: Caution: Don't Question Alamy
« on: June 19, 2020, 22:51 »
I've been having trouble uploading to Alamy via their webloader, just wondering if anyone else is having a problem. I have asked on their forum but I think they only have a few people active there and the couple that answered me aren't having any trouble.
As stated above support aren't answering at the moment other than to say they won't be able to answer at the moment.
What sort of trouble?
I uploaded one (!) image this afternoon, and it has apparently gone up and is still awaiting QC (Monday at earliest now, I suppose). The thumnail isn't showing, but in its place is a message telling me it has been accepted ... Turns out I haven't uploaded since December, so that might have changed meantime: I'm pretty sure I used to see a thum even while it was waiting.
Thanks ShadySue...
With the webloader it doesn't go through to Image Manager, it gets an upload error. If I upload via Xpiks with FTP they go through but as one submission per file so it's really painful to process once in the Image Manager after acceptance. I've had no problem, they have been passed by QC but I do worry about getting one file rejected (don't want to ruin my perfect upload score, lol). They do seem to treat them as one upload though as I only get the one email to say they have passed QC.
I've also tried Filezilla but I haven't configured it properly when installing it (not sure what the correct settings are even though I have read the instructions a dozen times) so they don't upload properly either but they do all make it to Image Manager but with a processing failed error. Tearing my hair out now, haha!
Once in IM and waiting for QC, unlike yours, they do have a thumbnail.

ETA: I've just tried two files with the webuploader, one of two uploaded with no error!! This is so strange, I really have no idea what's going on.

ETA even further: Looks like I've figured it out... It's only my smaller files that are loading. Which is strange because I have previously uploaded really large files via the webuploader. Maybe it's a problem with my internet speed, even though the problem is only with Alamy, no other sites I have uploaded to. At least I know what's happening now and I will keep my files around 5mb.

Done for the second time (it's the 15th here)! My portfolio is very small so won't make much difference to them but it makes me feel better. I had disabled at the start of the month and changed it back to make a change that Jo Ann had suggested (put all images into one catalogue) and couldn't disable again. It worked today! I also completed their survey before disabling.

For all of you that actually earn a lot of money at SS I hope they will realise they have made a mistake as everyone votes with their disabling finger. Good luck!

21
I have definitely learnt so much from this forum! I haven't been spending a lot of time here but came in when I received the email from Shutterstock as I know anything important will get discussed and clarified here.

22
I had disabled mine already then realised I would not be paid so I have to wait until I reach payout to disable again. My sales have dropped so much that I wasn't at payout by end of May. It's not much money but better off in my pocket than theirs... I hate seeing those 10c sales though!! I have had one sale for $1.46 which would have been $2.48 previously  >:( >:(

Shutterstock has added a post to their Facebook account this morning saying, among other things "we understand your frustrations" and "your feedback is very important to us"

Bollocks

https://www.facebook.com/pg/Shutterstock/posts/?ref=page_internal

I've given them my feedback

Want to add yours?

Thanks Jo Ann, I have left a comment also. I've also disabled my port, even though it's very small some of my images are top images for certain searches. I will concentrate on other agencies. I'm so sad to see Shutterstock do this, I thought they were one of the better behaved agencies :(

I have a very small port but even for me FT is way ahead of SS at the moment, barely a sale on SS :( (this month only)
