Mat,

Actually I read the section you were referring to and that is what prompted my question. I just wanted to make sure that I understood it correctly and it still applies.
Sounds like I did understand and it still applies.

Thanks!

If I understand the submission requirements for generative AI submissions:

 1. If I have a model released image and I use the GenAI tools in photoshop to extend the background, I should not mark the image as Generative AI?

 2. If I have say a model released image with a model on a white background (or in any environment for that matter) and I use GenAI tools in Photoshop to totally create/replace an environment (e.g.: room, outdoors) around the model.
I would submit the image with a model release but I should or should not mark it as GenAI?

Thanks

Why do these tools seem to have problems with human hands?

Adobe are taking over a month to review images now or at least for me, I remember they took a few days!

yes, it's frustrating! I guess that's an indicator of the deluge of AI submissions,  either that or non-AI submissions have been given a much much lower priority on the queue

I can't say I disagree with most of the sentiment and logic in this thread. At the same time, I've seen almost no impact to my sales yet. Given the seemingly very high quality of many of the AI images with "people" and other appealing commercial subjects, I am a bit confused by this.

As an addition to my comment: Of course the hope for any agency now adding AI offerings is that their overall sales will increase. Therefore it is not just a game of AI sales taking over from traditional imagery, it is also that AI sales will add to the sales of traditional imagery.

Would love to know, my code for Photoshop ran out. Now working with PS Elements 22. usable, but I miss the shiny new ai tools.

And no, I am too stingy, I pay for lightroom every month, don't want to add more.

Doesn't your LR monthly fee also include PS?

No, lr is 10 euros, ps costs another 23 euros a month :(

PS elements is 90 euros and usually works for 2-3 years then it is "no longer compatible" with the latest ios update.

I hope one day I earn enough to get the entire photoshop suite every year.

In the US it's approx. $120/yr for LR and PS bundle. Sounds like it's a lot more expensive there.

Adobe Stock / Adobe Stock 2023 contributor bonus program ??

Mat,

Any news on if there will be a "Adobe Stock 2023 contributor bonus program" and what the parameters will be?

Thanks!

The different agencies have different requirements. Some don't want people in the photo, some don't want photos without people. It's kind of weird. The best thing to do is to look at the individual agency's requirements.

I have seen similar inconsistencies with Editorial submissions as well. It would be helpful if they gave a specific reason for the rejection.

212
Regarding AI images. I guess they may represent say 10% of the entire collection at Adobe numerically? However, I would venture to guess that "subjectwise" they could potentially be more of a threat than that 10% number suggests since in the AI world, having complex images with "models" and "sets" (e.g. business office, medical office) is a lot easier vs. "real world" photos where the photog would have to get actual models and actual "sets" or locations like offices etc.. Therefore I would expect the "10%" number to be misleading (no "snapshot" images with very low sales potential). In other words, there should be more of a sales impact than 10% might suggest. Having said all that, I haven't seen the impact sales-wise that this scenario would suggest.

I am made an awful lot of assumptions in my statements above. Does anyone care to comment?

If you use "remove background" in PS does the image get tagged as AI and therefore create problems if you submit as Stock? ...Does anyone know the answer to this?

I recently got an email from AAA with an image that sure as heck looked like it was AI generated.

216
I saw noticeable improvement, but people still look like illustrations and not photos

217
Is this title even grammatically correct?

OK, I just got about 100 AI generated photos accepted in the last few days.  3 of those AI photos have been sold once.  This is cool.  What a cool Adobe Stock and Midjourney!!  Maybe I'll sell all my cameras and lenses soon.

How would you characterize your "learning curve" in terms of time/effort to be able to generate "quality" stock imagery for your portfolio?

218
And this number of 9 million has crossed 18 million by today viz. in approx 4 months

So is that about 10% of the collection?

Usually, successful images on an agency end up with a high ranking (and therefore there is not a lot to wade through on search results), and usually those successful images are "good". I always found it hard to understand the ridiculous pricing difference between these collections for what many times is the same quality of image in the "cheap seats". Is the curation really worth what must be $10000's per year?

Adobe Stock / Re: RAW will soon need a different GPU

So is the claim that you will not be able to process RAW or you will be able to but it will be slower because it won't use the GPU?

Adobe Stock / Checklist When Submitting Editorial Photos
« on: September 16, 2023, 21:49 »
I just noticed that on the checklist for submitting Editorial photos, one of the items says something like "no trademark, logos etc.". However for editorial, isn't this allowed?

224
One option is to use "collections" in Lightroom?

225
Does this mean that if you get a sale on SS you can get royalties as low as 25 cents with POND5 exclusive content?
