Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: Cannot edit - no text (white) problem« on: August 25, 2013, 09:47 »
I *think* this problem both times occurred when I edited my front page.
Instead of starting with all the plug ins this time I made a(nother) copy of my child theme and deleted both child theme and symbiostock, toggled back and forth between others a few times then reuploaded Symbiostock and child theme and edited child them to paste original back in again. Seems to have fixed my problem. Last time I took me a few days of fiddling around with all the plug-ins and widgets, most of which I deleted/uninstalled. Hope this helps anyone else who might run across the same problem 203
Symbiostock - General / Re: Releasing my First Symbiostock Child Theme« on: August 25, 2013, 09:27 »
The Clean Theme was activated earlier - you can tell the difference as Amanda's theme has a narrow footer and everything is neatly contained with a grey background. With the basic child theme you have a wide footer (if anyone has found a way of making this match the rest of the page I would be delighted to hear from you) and you do not get the grey background around the edges.

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Cannot edit - no text (white) problem (MEANS YOUR FILES ARE MISSING)« on: August 25, 2013, 08:49 »
A few weeks ago I had a problem where I could not edit my images (or re-edit them) as the text was white and therefore invisible and nothing else - keywords etc could be found and/or changed.
I got around it by deleting nearly everything and starting again but the problem is back again today. The only thing I have changed is to edit my front page which may or may not have been the trigger. Has anyone else come across this and if so how did you fix it. 206
Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: White screen after activating Symbiostock theme« on: August 23, 2013, 10:02 »
Many of us are using Wordpress 3.6 without problems with Symbiostock 2.5.6 - it seems to be the php.ini 5.4 that is causing the white screen problems so they have rolled back to php.ini 5.3 from CPannel -> Software/Services -> Php config

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: White screen after activating Symbiostock theme« on: August 23, 2013, 09:40 »
Off topic slightly but all this downgrading php.ini prompted me to see which version I have (4.* no idea which)
The choices of 5.2 are Option 1 PHP 5.2 All files with the extension .php will be handled by the PHP 5.2 engine. Legacy PHP with security updates. Compatible with most environments. Option 2 PHP 5.2 (Single php.ini) Same as PHP 5.2, but all subdirectories will use ~/public_html/php.ini Option 3 PHP 5.2 (FastCGI) All files with the extension .php will be handled by PHP 5.2 FastCGI processes. FastCGI for PHP makes all your PHP applications run through mod_fastcgi instead of mod_suphp. This eliminates the overhead of loading the PHP interpreter on every hit. Since it is always in memory ready for the next hit, the responses will be generated faster. If I was going to upgrade (would there be any benefits) and should I choose option 1, 2 or 3 ? For those using Bluehost your options are probably just the same 208

Try showing your site, screenshots, something. We are all working in the dark here trying to help

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: Free images?« on: August 21, 2013, 07:50 »
Yes, charge a reasonable price but maybe offer free image use(s) if someone advertises you so you can be selective about who you "give" them away to . This would me that you actually get something in return for your generosity. 216
Symbiostock - General / Re: What's holding you back from joining Symbiostock?« on: August 21, 2013, 03:30 »
One of the earliest features in Symbiostock was the ability to create a site and link the images to the agencies for completing the sale

Symbiostock - Suggestions / Re: Feature Request List« on: August 19, 2013, 09:32 »Actually, that is possible already and maybe something to think about doing on every SYS site. Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: change medium jpeg file size dpi« on: August 19, 2013, 09:30 »
You can change your sizes to whatever you like, would depend on what camera you are shooting with or what size illustrations you create I guess

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: Issue with bulk processing more than 5 images« on: August 19, 2013, 08:57 »
Did you try editing the php.ini as Shazaam recommended. This has been the fix for quite a few of us. I found mine in public_html

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: change medium jpeg file size dpi« on: August 19, 2013, 08:54 »
It just happened, maybe it is the size that triggers it, for instance my medium size is (mostly) 2000 x 3000 and they are 300 dpi, your medium is 8** x 1200 at 72 dpi

Already done - almost as soon as it came out - have also been pushing the Firefox add-in for it to others to try and get them to use it as their "image search engine"
