I'm neither and my images were selected. 122 of them.
How can you tell which ones are selected?

The company . . . ."responded by immediately taking the photo down." Why did he still have to sue?

When you make a sale you get a notification and there is also a update about premium option.
Maybe I didn't sell enough yet, I only get a free sticker offer in my sales notification.

Could you please provide a link to the premium upgrade option. I don't see any on the desktop version. Or do mean the Signature Collection?

"Your uploaded files are processing. We'll let you know when they're ready." Something is seriously wrong there.

If you want to be politically correct, you call it Lunar New Year, as other cultures that are not Chinese also celebrate it. (Vietnamese, Korean)
:-)
But best wishes to you too, and everyone else on the board
That's correct, it is also called Spring Festival in China, and in the US and Australia, they call it Chinese New Year such as in the yearly "San Francisco Chinese New Year Festival and Parade", ha! 新年快樂!

Copycat sites are already starting. Check out https://beta.reshot.com/ by Twenty20. "Uniquely free photos. Handpicked from our community. Yours to use for any creative project." "All photos published on Reshot can be used for free. Both for commercial and noncommercial purposes. Go crazy!"

Hi, I'm using Stocksubmitter, but I'm switching to Linux based machines.
Is there any software comparable to Stocksubmitter that does all the upload and cumplete submissions of files in Linux? Or what's the best workflow to use?
Any Linux user here?
Thanks!
Look for some web based service. For Istockphoto qhero works well in Firefox.

They partner with depositphotos. So if you have images with dp they might appear on panther as well.

Pond5 don't as far as I can see...
Pond5 does accept editorial images, but to make sure specify in the note to curator box that the image is editorial license only.

ah 500px, i am going to drop awesome subscription in the next month. Almost 2 million views, with close to zero sales. I am not receiving money from them - they receive money from me. That's definitely weird.
Just drop the subscription and leave the images there. You might still earn some money back.

You are totally onto something. There seem to be alot of shops selling the same images and same subjects.
Now it's possible it is the same person or just alot of people copying each other. Nearly all these shops sell cute baby pictures of animals, beach sences, trees, abstract art etc
type "inhale exhale" into the search bar and you will see many identical images

If there's a Getty spokesman who told the seller he could resell digital files, I think he told that to more than one seller ... I already found two almost identical shops, in different countries :
https://www.etsy.com/shop/SisiAndSeb https://www.etsy.com/shop/DeziDeziDesigns?ref=l2-shopheader-name
Similar design and similar products in dozens of shops. Is this some kind of franchise operation?

Investors are also not happy with Etsy's rampant copyright violations http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2015/05/17/368456.htmEtsy Sued by Investors Alleging Firm Hid Products Trademark Risks "Etsy Inc. is facing fraud claims from investors after allegations that millions of items sold through its online crafts and specialty wares marketplace likely violate trademarks. Investors filed a proposed class action against the Brooklyn, New York-based company and its executives after an analyst said this week that more than 5 percent of about 40 million listings may be counterfeit or otherwise infringe well- known brands." Update: the investors lost the suit in 2017

How do you know these are downloaded from Shutterstock? They might have been bought elsewhere which allows resale as POD, such as CanStockPhoto and Fotolia
But isn't that different from this example? This is not a printing service, you just get the digital image and then you can print it if you want. Or not.
That would be considered re-selling, which is usually not allowed.
