My only guess is: Do you have the latest version 3.23.8 installed?
I had similar problems with an older version.

Hello Jo Ann,

Dreamstime, Deposit Photos and I think 123rf accept gen AI content, but not Getty/iStock, Shutterstock or...
Are you sure about Deposit Photos accepting AI content?
Its about 2 month ago, but then my uploaded AI content was rejected with the reason "We do not accept AI-generated files due to potential copyright issues."

Have a nice day@all

... additional AI royalties, which will be paid in ~20 days. AI royalties will continued to be paid each and every month going forward.
Dear DannyCanva,

will we, as contributors, be able to see in the statement how much we have received via AI royalties and how much we have received via "normal" royalties per month?
We would be very pleased to receive an answer :-)

Have a nice day@all,
Michael
Yes :)
Thank you for letting us know - so I am looking forward to see what will be the first number :-)

What software do you guys use to keyword videos? bridge?
I am using Adobe Bridge 12.0.3 with my own metadata archive.

Sometimes it is very difficult with the Bridge, because the video files are sometimes simply locked and then only a restart of the Bridge helps, but it works somehow.
But the bug has been there for years :)

I have several hundred all keyworded and ready.
I was uploading direct but metadata is noz being read. so you are seeing deepmeta will read it abd make uploading easier?
then I guess I should try that,
I used DeepMeta admittedly reluctantly, but at least it can read the metadata of videos.

So you don't have to tinker them in there individually :-)

Their upload system is beyond frustrating, but if you have such great sales with video I will try.
I always just get the 6 cent video downloads, which dont motivate me to upload anything.
You are absolutely right - the upload system in DeepMeta is really not well solved in my opinion.
And the video RpD for me is $3.03 in 2023 - but I sell 5 times as many videos there as I do at AS or Shutter, whose RpD is also only $6.87 in 2023.

If you have more videos already keyworded, it could be a try :-)

I uploaded my port of 2400 clips, about 1000 of them approved but its bringing me $150/month now. About the same time I got my clips uploaded to gettys the slump began at pond5. I'm sure its a coincidence but I do love me a good conspiracy theory.
Since I've been uploading stock videos, I've always uploaded the same thing to Shutter, Adobe, Pond5 and iStock and had regular downloads on Pond5 up to and including January 2023.

Since February 2023, this has dropped to almost zero.

istock is your best video agency? As a non exclusive?
Yes, non exclusive.

My numbers for iStock:
- in 2023 iStock: 37.55% (Shutter 2nd, Adobe 3rd)
- in 2022 iStock: 47,63% (Shutter 2nd, Adobe 3rd)
- in 2021 iStock: 38,99% (Shutter 2nd, Adobe 3rd)

I wish contributors would include submission format with their video sales comments.
Added the information in my post above: 99% of my clips are 4k (3840x2160)

I went 6 weeks without a sale, and had one since. I noticed this trend started after I uploaded to gettys, although I'm not sure there is any correlation between the 2.

Has anyone else had a bad few months at pond 5? This has never happened since I started in 2016
I am uploading videos to Shutter, Adobe, Pond5, IStock, Deposit, Dreamstime - all with the same portfolio (4056 clips - 99% of the clips are 4k, 3840x2160).

From Jan-Sep 2023 I had 43% of the sales compared to Jan-Sep 2023 at Pond5, so they are almost dead for me since Feb 2023 - last sale was 7 weeks ago.

Revenue of my videos sales in 2023 are like this:
(1) 37.73% IStock
(2) 35.27% Shutter
(3) 18.12% Adobe
(4)   5.04% Pond5
(5)   2.45% Deposit
(6)   0.77% Dreamstime

Was on my way to bed but had to get back up to share this one that just popped in this evening. An editorial video cart sale....
WoW, grats  ;D

I don't assume that a rejected image leads with a possible copyright infringement - at this point the review worked and the image was correctly rejected. (if there really was a possible copyright infringement with the image).

I had exactly the same text on a rejection a few days ago (though the image had nothing potentially copyright infringing for me).
But since the image is rejected, I don't see any danger.

I also had an account block and there it was only about pictures that were accepted and therefore online - I had the name of an artist in the search words in 5 of my pictures and I had simply overlooked that.

So I wouldn't worry about the one rejected picture, because the picture is not online and therefore no copyright can be violated.

3000 in the queue!! That is more than a 1 year production for me

I would hope that getting editorials quickly accepted could help.

If so, please let us know. Might be important for others who have to rebuild after a port block.
The 3.000 in the queue are about 50 videos, 200 fotos and the rest is AI Images (about the half with people).
1.250 more are already uploaded and some 600'ish more are keyworded and just need to be uploaded.

I will of course keep you informed how things are going and changing :-)

Are you uploading a lot? Perhaps putting two weeks of very hardcore uploads could help?

Maybe editorial that has faster reviews? Just something to give your port a kick?
Yes, I already had the idea to push this with more uploads.
However, my submission limit of 3,001 files is currently fully utilised and in the last 3 weeks since the account was activated, with one exception, only 3-10 files were reviewed per day.

I could take up the very good idea with the editorial images, I still have about 80-100 almost finished images :-) Thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the update. So far I am seeing a number of downloads a day that I normally had on a weekend day before the block  :(

Have a great getaway! :)
Back from holiday - another week later my account is slowly recovering from the block.
I'm now at about 55-65% of the previous volume (after being active for 3 weeks again) - apparently you have to work your way back up in the ranking (in search), but at least that seems to be working, albeit very slowly.

According to my current calculations, it takes about 10-14 weeks to get back to the results before the block, if the current trend continues.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the account recovers quickly!

Thank you Michael!
How are your sales, did they pick up to their prior levels?
Do you submit new AI stuff after all this? I feel uneasy about contributing anything AI now  :-X
My account has been back online for about 2 weeks now and is now at about 45%-50% of the level before the 8-day block - at the current "recovery speed" I would say it could take another 2-3 months to reach the level of say the 2 months before the block, if this very slow increase continues.
Currently, of my previous Top25 images, only a few are selling, the sales since reactivation seem to be mostly images that were never or very rarely sold before.

And yes, I will continue to upload AI images, because this market is currently still very active, but this will probably not last forever - I think "real photos" will become more important again.
However, I am doubly careful about the keywords, titles and filenames I use - everything is now double-checked on my end. Because my account would probably not survive another block like that.

Currently I have about 4300 photos/videos/AI-images mixed in the queue (3001 files - my submission limit - since up to 3 months) and in the upload area and since the account block I have between 5 and 10 checked files per day - so it's going very slowly to maybe boost the account again.

And now I have to make sure I get to the airport - a few days' holiday :-)

Are only photos added to the data licensing or videos as well?
Im my case only photos have been added to data licensing - for videos I had only accepted or rejected so far.

I can only agree with Ralf here - Mat always provided us with information as far as this was possible and I am sure that at one point or another "more information" was simply not allowed.

And even though I've been accused of being a fanboy, I'll stick to my guns and say that we at least respect that, because nobody forces Mat or Adobe to write anything here, even if we don't like the content of the message.

@Konstantin:
I'm very pleased to hear that your account has been unblocked again.
I know from my own experience how unsettling such an account block can be, so it's very good that it's now active again :-)

Good sales to you!

272
I am completely with you on that!

In the meantime, one always expects the worst, which is probably simply the result of the experience of the last few years :-)

273
They are not distributing your p5X content to SS.

You must have a SS account and upload individually into that one.

And on SS you have to go through their yearly ranking system...

It would certainly be easier if we could just upload once to p5 and then select what goes to SS from there.
OK, I see - thank you for the clarification!

Maybe I'm already thinking too confused, after all the exiciting news of the last 2-3 years :-)

Edit:
If you are allowed to upload the exclusive Pond5 videos to Shutter, this is an offer that everyone can consider for themselves.
Here, everyone has to calculate lower prices in exchange for more sales.

274
Quite apart from the fact that everyone makes and should make this decision for themselves, one question popped straight into my head:

If I offer via Pond5 at Shutterstock, do I get a 15% share from Shutterstock and this amount is then split again 60:40 with Pond5?
In a 25 cent sale, 15 cents would remain for the contributor.

Shutterstock would then earn twice as Pond5 now belongs to Shutter.
Or am I thinking too complicated here?!

I do not think it is because of watercolor images.

I have about 400 watercolor AI images in my port and my account had been blocked (for a trademark reason), after is has been unblocked all watercolor images are still there in my port - Sorry for the long link: https://stock.adobe.com/de/search?creator_id=208268331&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Aphoto%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Aillustration%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Azip_vector%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Avideo%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Atemplate%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3A3d%5D=1&filters%5Bfetch_excluded_assets%5D=1&filters%5Bcontent_type%3Aimage%5D=1&order=relevance&safe_search=1&k=Watercolor&search_page=1&search_type=usertyped&acp=&aco=Watercolor&get_facets=0

I don't know if this helps, but I wanted to tell you about it.
