Guess i was just supposed to know that all along. Now i do.
The level of knowledge and understanding within this group is varied. When the real release happens tech support will be critical for new users.... as members of the community we have to be prepared for all level of questions and responses.

Yes i did activate hotlinking protection. Since some of you geniuses know exactly how all this stuff works, and i do not, i wasnt sure what problems that might cause. Apparently you all are hotlinked to my site via the network.
Thanks for the heads up. I will remove it tonight.
I didn't laugh at you. Hotlinking ( showing images on one site from another site) is what Symbiostock is all about. I want your images on my site...and I want my images on your site.

Is anybody able to create a press release about Symbiostock?
How about other marketing tools?
In order for the network to work we need to reach a critical mass.
These means photographers, but more importantly buyers.
Google image search and SEO is one of the main targets of the network, but, I think, we also have to target potential buyers who would not use image search. As well if we live by the google we can die by the google...if google decides that Symbiostock images are "bad" the they can disappear from the searches....
As an example I am thinking of sending a blurb to writers of blogs on Ecuador ( one of my Niches) announcing Symbiostock and my images. The problem is, I am a decent photographer, but not too good at word smithing.

In the latest versions of Symbiostock 2.x.x something called Datasheets are created.
When I look at them I see the meta data for images.
How are these created?
What is their purpose?
Can I edit these and how will they effect my site/images?
How will this effect my network and SEO?
If I edit a datasheet and do a reload, will my edits be lost?
My purpose in asking is I am still trying t think of an easy way to change/ translate my keywords/descriptions.

As far as I can tell, this is the actual bit of code that does the search and control of similar images. Wordpress is made up of blocks ( think Lego) that are then put together to create the theme you want. If there isn't a block you need, you build it.

The last 2 sites ( #9 http://www.picturemojo.co.nz and #10 http://shaunwstock.com) are different but #9 http://www.picturemojo.co.nz displays twice. I checked #10 http://shaunwstock.com does have images with the search term ( water) but the site was not displayed on my site.
I had some time so I thought I would work on this.... and it is getting strange... I now only have 9 sites.... # 10 http://shaunwstock.com has disappeared out of my list...but when I do my search now I have 10 sites, with the last one just showing the ladybug and the spinning colours, not a repeat of #9 Does this mean that my #10 site is off the net? I can still go directly to the site:http://shaunwstock.com

As I was "playing" with the latest version I realized I still had my test site running as well as my live site.
I deleted my test site. I suggest others do as well, while we think about it.

I shoot Canon because..... well when I was switching from manual focus to auto focus ( many years ago) the Canon lens were silent, Nikons made noise. That was the only difference at the time... and now neither or any other DSLR is different enough to change manufacture.... Really there isn't a camera maker making bad gear these days... they can't afford to.

I have loaded 10 sites in my network page... then did a search on my site for Water.
I was very impressed with the speed.
But ( always has to be a but) the no 9 and 10 sites displaying on my page are the same site, but loading at different speeds/ times.
I assume ( though I have not confirmed this) that one of my sites does not have any images that fit the search.
BTW very impressive Leo well done.

Yep, I actually had the same footer issue. No problem to reactivate the widgets, though.
However, I can't seem to figure out how to show my "Author avatar" on my Symbiocard. Any ideas what went wrong/how to fix this?

If you are a design firm that can use 25 a day, or are high volume then yes the larger sites are likely where you are going to purchase.
But some people may only need 10 images a month.....
I don't think that Symbiostock will make much of a dent in the pockets of the big agencies... but it may effect the smaller agencies.
It is going to be an interesting ride for the next 24 months to see if the idea of Symbiostock works or not. I hope it will, but we will see.

Akismet or whatever its callled is great for spam. And thank you very much for that bug report. I know exactly whats causing it.
Do I a) use Akismet as a contact form ( Is it a contact form?) b) Find another form that will work or c) relax...take a break... not worry about it, while the amazing code wizard named Leo solves this problem in an update or two.....

I am thinking about SEO and Image Descriptions. I don't really want to have multiple copies of the same images but I can't think of a easy way around this.

A lot of my images are of Ecuador, so I think my market should include Spanish Speakers.
I have been thinking about how to do this.
Spanish language site/ sub domain?
Translation Widget?
My biggest concern is keywords/ descriptions/ image searches.
Anybody have any thoughts on this?

The only way this seems to ever happen is if you delete ALL the rows. Then there is no remaining rows to clone. However its fixed by just clicking the tab... so you *may* be having a browser issue. Please update me if this is a problem for you still so I can check out your site and see whats going on.
You nailed It...I was using an older version of Firefox. Works with Chrome.
