... I've answered this question in a few places now, but I'll give it another go and be more detailed this time.
Right now - the only place to check is the basic stats on the Approved tab of your dashboard. Basic key metrics for individual files are shown inline beneath SKU and file info -
"Purchased" = cumulative total # of downloads "Viewed" = cumulative total # of times users have opened product detail page (we're working to remove your visits from this) "Earned" = cumulative total $$ earned from this file.
The aggregate stats/reporting panel is in the works for an upcoming release. Until that is launched, you'll need to scan through the Approved tab to check for sales.
Hope that helps.
- Brian
Brian, I understand that the site consists out of more than just the sales info page but it is quite an important feature to have once a site launches. I knew that I can see the individual sale of each image in my approved section but I have 30 pages to go through in order to scroll my eyes bloody to find a sale or maybe not. There isn't even a feature to sort the images by sales. That would massively help but it's not available... I guess you have other issues to fix sooner before contributors get a royalty overview but again I'm a bit disappointed that it hasn't been implement from the start. Maybe you could give us a vague idea of when this update may be ready...

I have almost 600 images with Veer and I can't see any details about sales or other statistics.
Mind that the site is live now. I'm disappointed.

That's possible. I'm just stunned that on some agencies things just fly and others take forever to update.
I think in a few hours it will be sorted out.

Despite my flagging interest in microstock I decided to submit a few more shots. And once again I'm in keyword gridlock.
I have a nice one of an abalone sea shell. Looking for ideas, I check SS for the 'most popular' images of abalone shells, and naturally I find that they've been spammed to the max, with keywords like "beauty", "beautiful", "texture", "pattern", "details", "pieces", "colorful", etc. etc.
As we all know, microstocks are preaching to us that we shouldn't spam, spamming is bad, spamming will only hurt you, spamming will be punished. And as we can plainly see, spamming works.
So - do we keep spamming away, or play by the new rules? Are the new rules really enforced?
I think as long as you don't use the keywords "sexy" and "teen" with your image you should be fine

I guess it is still problematic..
I had 54 pending files.
Now it is like: 31 pending, 5 rejected, 2 needs work = 38
Where are my 16 images? Because they are not under the approved tab.. They are nowhere!
I think Veer rushed this thing a bit!
That was exactly my point! I understand that once a decision is made the project needs to move on at a reasonable speed but I can't get in my head why an existing RF/RM agency can't get a micro site up and running. Most features that are being asked for are a must for every serious Macro agency. It's not uncommon that contributors want to see their royalties status or have straight portfolio links. I mean that's as basic as it gets.

Brian
I was one of the contributors to SV whose images were transferred. I checked the site today and I see all my approved photos, but there are no descriptions against any of them. I remember a much earlier post saying that would be corrected. Is that still the case, or do I have to enter new descriptions.
Also, the keywords are just a subset of what we originally present - do I need to do anything about that?
Steve
Hi steheap -
I'll double-check on this - it's possible the system is still processing this info.
Just so I'm clear: do you mean that they are not showing up on your Dashboard -> Approved? Have you also checked to see if the descriptions are showing up on the detail pages as well?
If you have a chance - let me know - that will help us sort this out.
See example on this page for a description on a detail page: description is visible beneath the title and name: http://marketplace.veer.com/images/1488046_Protection
- Brian
Brian - I'm sorry if I am being stupid here, but I can't see any way to get to a detail page. Clicking on the image in my approved list just shows the name of the photo in a pop-up box, and I have failed to find any of my photos using the search tools. How would I find an image with the SKU 1414518 ?
Steve
At least it's not just me who finds the control panel confusing...

I was waiting for the official email stating all the changes that have been made but I couldn't see the implementation of the accrued royalties overview. Will it ever come?
Did you not get the email earlier today stating that yes, it is coming? They are not finished with everything yet.
I know that they are not finished, yet that's why I'm asking. Ok, missed that line with the upcoming overview. Sorry for the rant. However, I hope it is done by the time SV is turned off...

Hi All - As we accelerate the final stages of the transition from SnapVillage to Veer Marketplace, we will be shutting down www.SnapVillage.com this Saturday, August 1st. ... Thanks, - Brian
Brian, I really hope that the contributor section at Veer Marketplace is FULLY functional. I always had a hard time navigating through the menus at Marketplace. I still can't find my royalties. Everything still keeps confusing me. Other photographers are still claiming problems with their transition of images. This all seems to be a bit unprepared. I was waiting for the official email stating all the changes that have been made but I couldn't see the implementation of the accrued royalties overview. Will it ever come?

That is exactly the reason why I don't sell via BigStock.
OK, good you knew...

Just realized that everyone clicking on a Veer marketplace pic gets to see the photographers real name. Is there a way to stop this?
For me it would be a show stopper if it is not possible to hide my microstock endeavours from current or potential direct clients.
Are you with Bigstockphoto as well? I believe anyone can see your real name also when you click on the photographer Bio!

After seeing that some photographers already got a payout I'm disappointed to see that I haven't sold one image yet (out of almost 600 uploaded)...
Unless you were part of the SV import, your images have been available less than 24 hours, on a Sunday. Are you serious?
Mine were transferred from SV a while ago. That's why I'm confused. I only added 10 images so far with Veer.

No you can't set up anything. I tried to create a portfolio but there is no way to do it. When I click browse, it just browses through my computer files. I think this is not the final version. Many things are missing.
Hum, seems a bit "incomplete", this whole launch...

Ok well it seems Marketplace is live now - looks good.
I can't figure out though how to set up my profile so an interested visitor who clicks on my name can see my entire portfolio.
When I look at one of my images and click on the copyright holder's name it just shows me the Bio page. Why isn't the link of the copyright holder directing people straight to their entire portfolio?
Did I miss something?

You should post your shopping experience on this web site: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/NeweggNewegg staff is reading the reviews and they do respond to any issues if you are correct about what you said. No company likes bad publicity. This web site is very useful if you want to order for the first time at an online store. Good luck!

Look, if you will be using Autodesk software go here: http://area.autodesk.com/forumThere are very helpful and knowledgeable members there. Some of them are highly trained professionals. Most of them build their computer around the application. They will tell you exactly what to get. But do your homework, you need to have some basic knowledge about Operating Systems, hardware and software which you can find all over the internet. Just do some research!

should have said too that the hard drive is usually the slowest part of any pc so usually the faster the better
It wouldn't hurt to get an SSD for that part. But do a lot of research on those, there are different ones!

Hay guys, I would like to check which is the best processor to work with 3d software? Is window XP 64 bit better than window XP 32 bit work better with 3d software?
I think you have to ask the question in a 3D forum that specializes in the software that you are going to use on your computer. I'm running 3DS 2009 on a Dell with 4GB RAM and 6600 Quad Core, Win XP Media Center Edition - it's way too slow for me. These days I wouldn't go below 8GB of RAM and a fast Quad Core if not a proper workstation with two multi-core processors and for sure 64-Bit OS. But you will get a lot more good info on a special forum.

I uploaded via HTTP few 14-17Mb photos without any problems... (in fact, StockXpert has a limit of 16 mb per photos... but this is another story!) Claude
Thanks Claude for posting this info. I couldn't even get those files (+12MB) uploaded via HTTP. It's very weird. I have no trouble uploading to any other site whether it's HTTP or FTP. StockXpert's 16MB limit bothers me too but still better than 123RF's 10MB limit...

Maybe this help you a bit....
I appreciate your efforts but it doesn't help. In my OP I referred to those requirements that you just posted. Although they claim that files up to 20MB are acceptable I cannot upload any files that are bigger than 12MB. Here my question again: Did anybody experience this problem as well?or Did anyone successfully upload bigger files than 12 MB via FTP or HTTP?

After being blown off by support that my internet connection is the reason why I can't upload certain images, I kind of found out that (for me) it's a file size issue.
It appears that all the files that I upload which are less than 11MB (or less than 11.500KB) go through fine. Once I exceed the 12MB mark the upload goes on strike.
CoreFTP simply stops at roughly 11.3 MB.
Could anyone confirm this "restriction" (although the max. upload size is supposedly 20MB)?

Speaking of Video clips... Has Mr. Arcurs branched out into making video clips for stock yet? If not, I think he is missing the boat.
I think he has something in the pipe. I would be surprised if he didn't get on that boat which already left a while ago... I'm surprised to see his entire studio being white. Whenever I saw a studio it's mainly painted black to reduce reflections of highly reflective objects. But I guess since his most reflective surfaces are the eyeballs of his models he can probably ignore that...

i tried the link but couldnt find any footage - just a brief ention they have it somewhere -- is it not public yet?
You can upload footage already and it will be displayed (once approved) on www.fotosearch.com and at a later date when Canstockphoto will launch their footage section. So upload it now, it's fine.

For the most part, dreamstime is one of my favorite microstock sites for many reasons. The only trouble is with their approval rating system which I try to keep above 80%, but then get a whole batch rejected because I included a po box in the model release instead of a house address.
I know it's my fault, as I've had this problem before and I thought I got all my model releases fixed, but I guess I missed one. The other problem is I always find it a guessing game when to upload a model release if you can't see the model's face. I couldn't see the models face so didn't include a release and was told to upload one becuase the model is the main subject of the image. The problem is I've uploaded model releases in the past with models who you can't see the face and receive a rejection stating that the model release isn't needed for this image. Yes very irksome. Like I said though, it's MAINLY my fault.
Write to Erin. I had images approved with just a foot in the image and a release attached to it. Usually agencies are happy to have a release even for body parts. It's an additional insurance for selling RF.

What I don't understand is why you are defending them? Saying that "nothing can be done, nobody is forcing you" is one thing, and defending an agency's injustice is another thing. Have you heard the idiom "to be more royalist than the king"?
Well if you want to put it that way, I'm defending both IS and Fotolia. Quite some people have left them. Fine with me. I'm not putting my eggs in one basket either also contribute to Macro and footage. As long as I get more money from Fotolia and IS than 123RF, Crestock, FP, BigStock, Stockxpert, Canstock, Veer I will keep raking in the money with them. Speaking for myself, I'd rather take the money and run than try to change the (stock) world...
