Anyone familar with Londons Tube system will recognise that DTs estimated review time uses the same algorithm as the minutes to arrival board!

I had high hopes when I first started uploading here - if you don't need Releases straightforward and although the reviewers could be idiosyncratic I got a reasonable acceptance rate -and reasonable sales now I hardly get anything accepted,  sales are still not awful but no growth as my portfolio is static. I wonder if anyone other than a Mstock star could get near to building a decent portfolio starting from now.

Uploading direct fine on Explorer couldn't get it to work on Chrome - as I only do small batches at a time will probably go this way.

There's loads of free consultancy advice for them on this site. Do they really not see that their "advice" shows how woefully out of touch they are. :o

I wouldn't bother every site counts views differently - totally unreliable stat imho - also you will get lots more views of "sexy girl in underwear" than "Rotting Rubbish dump" whether anyone intends to buy or not 8)

I thought it was a %age of when a baseline was set of SS at 100. Its only a rough guide and is very useful as such, my advice is don't try and over analyse it (like nearly all the Mstock "statistics" bandied around)

I only read it briefly as it seems a total waste of effort but I didn't see anything that indicated an increase of SALES rather than views.

4364
Every agency seems to define views differently I get vast numbers on Dreamstime and very few on fotolia -  the opposite in sales (except a few more rather than vast!!) not that I give them any attention

4365
The thing that surprises me is what of my stuff sells or otherwise if it didn't I guess I'd be richer  :-\.

4366
The model assumes the newbie is a relatively novice photographer - someone selling 1k images a month from a standing start is either a very experienced photographer or amazingly talented.

4367
No surprises as far as I can tell

I think "opportunist" rather than random may be a better way of putting it. I usually go out with some shots in mind but some of my best sellers have been things I've seen when planning to take something else. Maybe I don't make as much as those that are more single minded but I still enjoy taking pictures  :D

4370
I think a reasonable estimate might be those images go on earning an average 2 years - to take account of new image novelty and decline making 24c an hour? Of course that money doesn't pay the bills now.

If you didn't improve it would take about 3 1/2 years to get to $10 an hour

I think it would be foolish to rely on this income stream to pay for anything essential for the first three years at least.

Not really why shouldn't people want to know what the information provided is to be used for - if its to be resold it may have a value

 8) only that it is not only in USA, it is global sweatshop.
"compared to slave labor or child labor in india this is worst because the slave and child do not have to pay for their equipment ."

Really??? I actually find that comment rather offensive
