Acceptance rate has gone through the floor lately - and seem to accept what everyone else rejects. On the other hand easy to upload and sales OK - but no more than that but patchy.

"Because of that they give me the highest RPD after Alamy." Which illustrates why that is such a meaningless stat. Probably my worst underperforming site compared with my expectations

Well thought through Mike - it amazes me how the smaller sites hang around so long.
I'm not sure about "premium quality" as I'm not surely its definable.

MSG posters predicting the imminent demise of the industry and saying its a waste of time while still uploading pictures.
Shutterstock still dominant I-stock clinging on. RPI declining nano stock level pricing for Facebook and as yet unknown opportunities.
Something totally unexpected!

Tror,
Alamy actually regard their contributors as professionals capable of assessing their own images and therefore only assess a sample and punishing them if contributors don't do their QC properly but delaying the rejection. Different but certainly not unprofessional.

The daily limit confuses me and I seem to lose files if I upload too many no sales for ages - on backburner

I would suggest giving it another year and see where you are then don't give up the day job just yet!
I think 1$ per image per month is very high - look at your own stats and estimate from there. To replace your income of $600 you would need about 6000 images BUT there is a risk on income going down (or up) also you need to take into account any production costs

tickstock posts a lot I disagree with but has a point of view different to mine that doesn't make him a troll. Personally I see little point in always reading posts I agree with - thats how you stop thinking.
