123RF / Re: 2013 is here - how about the promisses?

Hi Everyone,

I have briefed our IT team on the mechanics of the new commission levels system, and how to calculate it.

You will be able to see your current contributor levels by next week.

Thank you,

Alex.

Hi everyone,

I can verify that it was a legitimate email. Estrel is a member of our Content Acquisition team.

If you prefer to send via FTP it's no problem for us. Just let us know that it's sitting in your FTP folder and let us know by return email.

Our IT team can then retrieve it and replace it thereafter.

Sometimes the EPS is corrupted during processing or the transfer of files, or perhaps during transfer via FTP there might be a glitch.

So from time to time as and when we discover problems, we do ask for original files via email to avoid getting them re-processed by mistake.

But as I said before, if you're not comfortable with email, please FTP it up into our FTP server and we'll take it from there on.

Thank you,

Alex.

Hi All,

We will display your contributor rank closer to the implementation date. Do be patient, we're trying to make sure everything works on our side too.

Also,

I overheard members of the 123RF Submission Email team discussing and investigating Jo Ann's query today. I believe they have sent a reply to Jo Ann as well.

We're always open to dialogue, do email us.

Thanks,

Alex.

Hi Everyone,

Please allow me to address the issue on promotional credits.

1. We do give out promotional credits.
2. These credits are free.
3. We often give this out to prospective clients to test drive 123RF so that they'll search and look for content.
4. In the event that these clients use the credits to download content, 123RF is committed to pay 20 cents per credit to our contributors.
5. These payments come out from our allocated Advertising and Promotion budget.

I hope you will find this explanation satisfactory. We DO NOT DEDUCT payment from you when these credits are present.

Thank you very much,

Alex.

123RF / Re: New Limited Extended License?
« on: September 04, 2012, 20:50 »
Hi All,

LEL - as the name suggest is a Limited Extended License.
It's specially negotiated license that allows the Client to use the Content for 1 specific (declared) use.

And because it's negotiated and different from client to client, we can't really put up the LEL up on the general public. The wording and structure of the LEL is in essence very much like the Extended Licenses but the scope of usage under clause 3, will be restricted to 1 use only.

Hope this clarifies your questions.

Hi MajorieB,

I'm very sorry to hear about the problems you're having. Please PM me with your UID and I'll conduct an indepth check for you.

Additionally, if you try to find your image from your filename you're required to copy and paste the ENTIRE filename (including your userID) then you'll be able to find the indexed image including the running image# on 123RF.com.

Do let me know.

Alex.

They'll go back into the pending queue. We figured when you reupload:
1. More space is wasted
2. Your time is wasted
3. Frustration increases on both sides.

If it doesn't go back to the pending queue, let me know :)

« on: March 28, 2012, 02:24 »
Hi and thank you for helping us trouble shoot the problem.

We've cleared a few things from our side, don't know if that will help.

Do let us know if the situation improves, but if it doesn't do let me know. I'll do testing with specific accounts.

I've logged on with several contributors level accounts (internal accounts) but nothing suggests the site to be acting weirdly.

Thanks!
Alex.

Hi dbvirago,

I've tested with your login, it's the standard captcha request and MOTD screen, there after, the site reacts normally as it should.

Anything we can do?

Alex.

Hi Phillip,

:) We've done some preliminary checking, a customer downloaded the same image 3 times, we've emailed and asked if this is what they wanted, so we're still awaiting their answer.

Do standby for any corrections in the reporting. It's very highly likely that the other 2 will be reversed but you'll keep 1 ;)

Thank you.

123RF / Re: We still have 50% of royalties?
« on: March 18, 2012, 21:12 »
Hello,

Sorry about the miscommunication. An investigation was carried out and we are correcting the understanding of contributor commissions.

Here are the answers you require:

1. Yes, you will continue to receive 50% of all nett earnings till January 1, 2013.
2. What ToniFlap got was a promotional credit sale. These promotional credits are valued at $0.20 to the contributor. At times we give out free credit sponsorships, giveaways, test drive 123RF credits and other promotional credits in an effort to market 123RF to potential customers. These credits are billed as a part of 123RF's Advertising and Promotional budget. The client did not pay at all for these credits, the cost comes directly out of 123RF.
3. JoAnn is right, all subscription downloads are still valued at $0.36 per download to a contributor.

Thank you very much and once again, I apologize for the error in our reply.

Alex.

We've gone live on Monday, it's a very soft launch, ie. only several countries have it. Once we iron out the bugs etc. We'll go all out to promote and push footage.

As for the locations and keywording spam, it's a normal occurrence, we can remove keywords from the index at a future date.

Thank you very much,

Alex.

For those having trouble with the website.... Please reply and tell me if you can see this well?

Hi KB,

The prices of the video sales would be as follows:
1080 HD - 65 Credits
720 HD - 55 Credits
480 SD - 40 credits
240 WD - 15 credits

50% of nett credit prices now till Dec 31, 2012.
Thereafter, it'll be counted towards the 12 month rolling credit to determine your contributor level.

Thank you.

Alex

Hi All,

Thanks for the comments and warnings, we will take everything into advisement. No I wasn't paid (not by the competition) or given a script, everything here reflects what my views are.  Nobody likes change, and although it was truly hard to accept some of the criticism that were offered - Nonetheless, I can't thank you enough for your thoughts, opinions and ideas.

Do allow me to address some of the concerns that were brought up:

1. With regards to sales, we're looking to more than double the figure. 2011 was great for us, we're looking to make 2012 greater. Ultimately your sales as a whole will more than just improve. We are having month after month of improving sales, spurred on by the growth - We are spending more on advertising and promotions than ever before with more campaigns coming up soon, we're allocating a large proportion of sales revenue into various marketing channels and this is bearing fruit - I believe that most have enjoyed the increased sales throughout 2011. We're not slowing down on this.
2. On the operations side, we are hiring - hiring takes time, training takes even more time. We're looking to eliminate long queues and try to accept content in real time as we span the operations to work 24 hours from Monday to Friday.
3. We have plans to improve the contributors site but at the moment, improving features on the customer and sales functions, as well as rolling out new products take higher priority. We're hiring more IT personnel to cope with the expanded scope of responsibilities and hope to achieve a good balanced site.

Rome was not built in a day and I have to ask for your further understanding. We are achieving our milestones month on month, and I believe you too will enjoy higher sales volume in the days to come. I earnestly hope that you'll continue to be a contributor even after the implementation date. Only time will tell what decision you'll eventually make. But do factor in the growth if you're plugging the figures into your spreadsheet while determining your future levels.

Lastly, I do hope that everyone here enjoys the fruits of their labor earning more than 50% commissions from 123RF in 10 months time.

Thank you very much,

Alex.

Hello All,

You have 10.5 months to build up a solid portfolio. Why not look towards getting more than 50%, why set your sights so low?

Have faith in us and have faith in yourselves.

Our sales ARE growing, the question is, just how much we can grow in 10 months. We're adding video, another avenue for you to get even more credits download. More product lines are sure to follow.

We are not setting low targets for sales, we want to be able to make more than enough for everyone to share.

Price changes are very sensitive, we cannot just raise prices willy nilly. But we will take things under advisement and we'll improve from day to day.

Thank you very much,

Alex.

Hi everyone,

The new commission structure is up. You can read it as you log into 123RF and the structure is right below the captcha entry.

I thank you for your patience and for those who have afforded us some amount of faith - I personally thank you very much. I am open to all questions and I promise to answer each and every one. As usual we'll be upfront about things.

All I can say is, allow our track record to speak for itself. We came from humble beginnings have outlasted quite a few agencies and we aren't stopping our growth. I do apologize for dismal review times, I acknowledge we're a bit slow but we're hammering out the videos platform this month, our attention is focused there somewhat.

We are making quite a number of changes most importantly - we've been given the go ahead to expand the operations department threefold. I believe in about 2 months time, long review times will be a thing of the past.

I welcome your questions.... As usual :)

Alex.

HI Jo Ann,

It's a system wide rollover for simplicity's sake, however, it does take into account seniority depending on how long you've been with us in 2012, at least.

Alex.

Hi Everyone,

I do apologize for the silence. We have reached a decision and confident that we have a plan that can cater for the long term growth of sales and earnings.

We will make the official announcement in a day or two and it will be available on 123RF.com.

I don't come empty handed though:
1. the qualification rule has been lifted, and
2. the date of implementation will be stretched till January 1, 2013, thereafter, we'll use the new commission payout structure.

Further details on the MOTD as you login into the contributor account on 123RF within 48 hours.

Let's keep on rockin'!

Alex.

Hi All,

Matters such as these require some investigation as well as testing, it takes a bit more time. Sending to submissions means that your case will be tracked and see through to completion without further escalation.

Much thanks,
Alex.
