Hi, Just one thing to remember when you go deactive an image. When you type the reason be mindful of what you write, it might show in a search. I don't remember well but I think that is what happens when you search a deactivated image by its number. I know because once I searched mine and the excuse for deactivation came up on the screen. I think about deactivating some of mine, and i wonder if maybe putting "no longer available" is the best thing to put there. I need to delete 4 images. One of my models asked me to. He is a friend and I want to remove them but I just can't find were to remove them. Can anyone help me before it is to late?
Thanks
Near the top of the file page, there's a grey bar. At the right hand side of the bar, hover over maintenance and click 'deactivate'. You can give a reason or just put . in the box then confirm you want to deactivate.

Is interesting that inspectors are hired to inspect both vectors and photos.
It would be much better if vector artists inspected only vectors, and photographers photos...maybe the acceptance would be higher.

Hi, I think you should open a new thread to deal with this, because this is a different issue. Have any US-based contributors realized that 123rf has withheld money from us starting in the latter part of 2015, up until the point that we provided our tax information to them? I'm talking hundreds of dollars. Elaine with support is basically telling me that the withheld funds have been given to the IRS, and that I need to contract a tax advisor in order to get the withheld monies back.
No, I never received an email from 123rf saying I needed to provide tax info, back in 2015... or whenever they decided to switch their company from one country to another.
I don't have time to deal with this crap right now...

Hi, Actually on Shuttertock there is a place where you can put your social media links, such as facebook and to your website or blog. So, the customer already can find you.

People don't understand licenses... I often wondered if those photographers would get upset to see how others were making money off of their images. I read on CC that CC licenses are not revocable. You can't stop licensees from using the image as long as they abide by the license. Public domain is pretty broad, they can distribute the image, do whatever they want with it. It seems you can stop distributing the image, but you need to do some research on the Creative Commons site. Just remember that if you stop distribution, whoever got the image before that still have the rights under the CC0. You can't stop them, as they are doing so legally. https://creativecommons.org/faq/

when you upload to shutter, in the comment box put " I don't have a reference, I made from my imagination directly in adobe illustrator " or some words to that effect.

Hi, I'm looking for a budget option to use with vector clipart.
It has to have some color accuracy or at least that I'm able to calibrate with a pantone huey or and I'm thinking of a Dell U2412M which seems to be an upgrade from the Dell U2415...

ON shuttestock on your profile, there is a place where you can put your website, facebook and maybe twitter..I don't remember. I always look at artists profile by curiosity.
If a buyer wanted to contact you, that's how they find you.
But shutterstock doesn't offer customization, so I wouldn't put in the description title that you offer customization because that might not pass inspection.

For some reason some of these to me these doesn't seem to be regular silk screened textiles you buy in craft stores...
Ask the person if he digitally printed on-demand..The icecream is suspicious.Nowadays you can print fabric on zazzle, and spoonflower by uploading pictures...
If the person got an icecream clipart from a clipart company, then you upload the tie with that image that's a problem...

Did you start in 2013? Is this for photography or vectors? This drop is significant...how is this possible? You went from 100K to 14K in 3 years? Just trying to make some sense... Getty Image updated iStock credit pricing in 2013 and also introduced their great and amazing new subscription plans.
So, What is your annual income lose between 2013 - 2015 (2016).
I had 3000 images 2013 and now 5500 images.
My Income 2013 = 115 000 $ My Income 2014 = 110 000 $ My Income 2015 = 50 000 $ My Income 2016 = 14 000 $ (about)
I think this is NOOOT a good way

That's a good logo actually. It fits into the Adobe brand, much better than the old one.
By the way a logo doesn't need to be made of a icons and symbols.
Logos made out of typography are timeless. Think about it.

Jo Ann, you are right, these bundles are usually overstuffed.
Actually the bundles deals I saw there were created by the artists not by the sites. These are not the same type of bundles that Creativemaket puts together.
I saw some bundles created by the artists there that are also selling for the same price accross various discount sites...I guess some people are just spreading their wings...
By the way, I signed up for their mailing list and I got a free bundle with thousands of stuff.

I've seen worse... It might pass, as long as the paths are closed and there are no stray points... They seem too simple to me, and the second one is kind of disconnected.

I don't, but it seems people at Zazzle in the private forums are having a hard time also, finding their images on all kinds of things, mostly cellphone cases. Some people sent a claim against thirdy part sellers and the product got removed, but I don't think it was instantaneous. In any case, there is a facebook group with peopel who contribute to PODs where they discuss these issues. Maybe you could ask someone there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/442213309304038

Hi, In the past Alamy was way down in the poll results... This year all the sudden Alamy is almost going head to head with Shutterstock. So does it mean people are making almost the same they make at Shutter? What did change from past years??? I am seeing Alamy 73, and Shutterstock 86.1.

And I remember many years ago, a client used her dad credit card to pay for illustration service, which I didn't know obviously because we can't see how they pay....and after a her dad did not recognize the charge and called the credit card company who blocked my account, and basically I had to swallow a charge back and reimburse the money to her dad....and wait for her to pay me back.
Another time, someone tried to do a chargeback after six months of the sale but it did not blocked my account because six months is passed the limit, however I called paypal, and the operator and I thought that maybe someone's paypal got hacked and maybe someone was trying to get chargebacks on past sales, or maybe someone did not recognize a charge, in any case, six months was passed the time they could request chargebacks, and it did not affect me.
The last problem I had was with this account I have now. I was adding an extra credit card and the verification and didn't go through, you know those couple of cents they charge to your card to confirm is yours... That mishap alone blocked my account because I could not verify the cents.
I went in dispair mode, because I got that email where you need to send copies of your ID to verify your account....but then, I decided to phone Paypal directly and explain that the credit card didn't compute the verification, I couldn't find it. And the operator found out what the problem was and unblocked my account imediately....
So, things happen, but I think is worse when you receive paypal from freelance from clients you get on the internet....
If you only deal with marketplaces, stock image companies and PODS, usually there is no charge backs or disputes, as far as I know...

I noticed that on Shutterstock there was a trend of people putting a hundred of icons or illustrations in a single file. I don't know if that is still a trend...I see that trend on places like CreativeMarket, where they put two hundred logos or graphics and then sell the whole bundle at a discount of 89%.. Is the buffet mentality, pay a small price and eat all you can... Shutterstock encourages single icons, while Dreamstime rejects them. Depends on the site.

Hi, Nice site design, really lovely. Good job on the design! Just one thing, Your Agreement says that "the actual contract for selling and buying is directly between the sellers and buyers" and Luvly is just a markeplace. For that I conclude that shop owners outside of the European Union are responsible for registering with the VATMOSS and report themselves. When the VAT law went into effect I think in 2015 for sellers of digital items outside of EU, a lot of designers left markeplaces, stopped selling from their sites to the EU because is too complex for them to comply. Then, big marketplaces such as Etsy and others decided to do the VAT reporting themselves, otherwise I think they would have lost too many people in my opinion. You will have a hard time getting people outside of the EU who are aware of the VAT for digital items to join if your marketplace doesn't handle VAT like creativemarket or ETsy does. But thats just my opinion. Here is how complex it could be for an indie. http://discuss.bootstrapped.fm/t/us-business-registering-for-vat-moss/2330I didn't share the URL of the marketplace because on some forums its not good practice to drop a link in your first post. Anyways, the url of the marketplace is luvly.co. I don't know where the Freepik suggestion came from, but I'm not affiliated to them.

Hi I'm always interested in new markets and I was wondering if you could share the URL for the site... I'm a bit curious because you said it has a "feminine touch"...What do you mean by that? Are these designs geared toward women? THanks. Hi everyone! I'm not a designer or photographer, but an entrepreneur who happen to have landed in the design and stock space I own a graphic design marketplace with a feminine touch, a free vector site and an icon site and upload to various marketplaces with a small team of talented designers.
Have been reading for a while and now hope to contribute!

I forgot to say....
I'm only on Zazzle which is print on demand, and there is pretty much handled the same way as Istock or Shutter, where I only receive royalties, and a 1099 at the end of the year.
