As of now we are leaning towards a $100 annual subscription plan of limited downloads (up to 1TB or 20 clips daily).
We are planning to take only 0-5% commission for the sales (excluding service maintenance fee) for the first year, and slowly increase it up to 20% depending on the websites performance.
Are you nuts? How about $100 per video sale instead? I'd go for 50% commission though. I don't think you have any idea how much hosting will cost. My clips are a few GB each, because of 4k HQ ProRes.

Thanks all for the replies. At first I was afraid that it might have been a bug or something, I'm glad it has happened to others.
I also want to be clear that sales have been catastrophically bad at Shutterstock since last year, and increasingly so.

I've been selling clips at shutterstock for 8 years now, but I've never earned $300 from a single footage sale. That would mean they payed $1000. What kind of license was that?!

Out of curiosity - does anyone mind sharing what their average yearly number of downloads are? Based on most of the comments, Is 5000 an easy goal for most?

Last year I had 45 video downloads... so that puts me at 360 downloads with the x8 for videos. Should make the 150 without too much trouble, but definitely not the 5000.
I can make the 150 downloads, but I have and need the full Creative Cloud (animations, so AE, PS, Ill, etcetera) so what could I do with the single CC subscription?

This please! Also, are you looking for quality or quantity of uploads? I've made plenty of sales, but not enough uploads so I didn't get the code for free Creative Cloud. I did manage to get the $500 or so that was necessary a year before, but last year you only went for quantity (number of uploads) I do animations and those are a lot of work, so less uploads but more sales.

I produce not many animations, but of high quality (and 100% approval rate). So I can't reach the 300 uploads. Last year I did get the code because I sold enough stock. I guess Adobe really went for quantity this year...

I had some fun with them, I had thousands of clips there, well over 20,000 so there was no way to delete them and their support was non-responsive so I went into my account and changed the program to Storyblocks is a scam, made up a matching email and registered the account to storyblocks is a scam and hit save and next day all traces of my clips and account GONE.

Hi!
I just decided to put my portfolio on iStock, I check qHero and it simplify so much the submission. This said, I had thousands of images reviewed/accepted, but it's been a few days and I do not see the images yes in my portfolio... How much time does it actually take to see our images online after they have been reviewed/accepted?

I dived into this a while ago, because it costs me hunderds of dollars a year. I can actually open a USD account with my bank, but Paypal will still only send euro's because my bank is not in the USA... They will only send dollars to an american bank account.

#2) What they don't tell you in ANY of the blurbs, is that you must also have 50% lifetime acceptance rate to qualify. 49% and it doesn't matter if you got 1000 images accepted this year...
Huh? From the OP in this thread:
"To qualify you need to one of the first 20,000 contributors to have 300 files approved or have $500 in earnings since January 1, 2018 with a 50% or higher approval ratio to receive a CCP member. "
(NB, "50%" isn't a ratio, "1 in 2" is. Just sayin'.)
$500, unless you live in a euro country then it's 500. (which is $584)

I'm at 494 as of august 24th. Surely that's more than $500?
At first Adobe Stock support told me I didn't meet the criteria, that I was at $494. I replied that it was 494. Then they told me to wait for the next batch of codes.
Now I'm not convinced that the automated system takes into account the difference between and $.

Luckily I never get these $1.50 sales, and I sell a lot there. I can understand that people are very unhappy with it. What type of footage is typically sold at those low prices?
