Shutterstock.com / Re: SS "Contact Us" form not working?
« on: February 27, 2017, 12:18 »
My submit button hasn't been working for weeks. I received a reply which didn't make any sense so I just sent another question. There must be something seriously wrong there...

Thanks! The problem is not the uploading but the submitting. I have the photos waiting in line to be submitted but there it goes wrong. I haven't heard from Shutterstock after writing two emails explaining the problem with screenshots. Ah well, I will submit them elsewhere. Their loss.....

Shutterstock.com / Can't upload anymore at Shutterstock
« on: February 17, 2017, 05:46 »
Hi, Since a few weeks I can't upload anymore. The 'submit for preview' button doesn't work. And the one time it did, I had to change and edit my submission (but I had no faults in my submission) and when I tried to change things it didn't work. Keywords disappear and Shutterstock doesn't reply to my mail (almost a week now). I work with them since 2006 but it is really bad now. Anyone else having uploading problems?

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe account but sales at Fotolia?

Yes, that might be the case. I sent an email to Fotolia hoping they would clear everything up. Waiting for their response..

Thanks Jo Ann! I tried this link and it did bring me to my finance page at Adobe where it said that my tax form was validated... I guess Fotolia doesn't really works with Adobe on this one or maybe it was a fake sale. I am happy with the diverse sales at Adobe but I didn't want to go back to Fotolia (I used to be with Fotolia but when they started to sell images for 10 cents, years ago, I left there).Strange. Now I'll see if this happens again.

Adobe Stock / Adobe account but sales at Fotolia?
« on: January 25, 2017, 10:52 »
I have a few hundred images on Adobe ( starting to upload more and more) I just received a Fotolia message that I have an image there and I have to give my tax info. I don't submit to Fotolia but to Adobe! If I follow the link I get to a Fotolia page where I can't get in because I don't have an account at Fotolia. Someone knows what's happening here and what to do?
Thanks!

I left Istock years ago when they got to be very unreliable but kept a few images so I could see where they were going. It looks like that is nowhere. I now want to delete the rest I have. But I don't see how to do this anymore. Anyone can help?
I made a few dollars a month (apposed to the hundreds I did in the golden years) It seems they now even took the few dollars I had. I hope they really let you delete them instead of just deactivate them so they can still do what they want with them..

Email support and ask them to delete and close your whole account. It might take them awhile, but just keep bugging them.

Thanks! I did this a few hours ago and am ready for bugging. I don't expect this is high on their agenda..

New Sites - General / Re: 500px - Kelly Thompson strikes again

And it stinks really bad!
I received an answer from 500px: You photos have not been deleted because you logged back into your 500px account, which re-activates it. This is the reason we inform our members we'll keep their photos safe for a little while. Once you log into your account, the 60 day deletion period is cancelled.
As a matter of fact  I didn't log back in. Because I knew 500px would pull this trick. I was asked to log back in if I wanted my earnings of this one sale of 1.80. But I definitely didn't log in to claim this money because I knew this would happen. And still they persist that I did log in. So now another two months they can earn money of chasing the people who may have stolen my images and keep the money for themselves.  I am afraid that this is their business model. Not selling photos.

I also deleted my account after KT cut commissions. Sounding like he brought some Istock quality with him.

I'm curious. Is this more than two months ago and are your images really gone? I closed my account but when I go to 500px and fill in my name I still see them. I didn't log in because the time starts ticking again and then you have to wait another two months.

I left two months ago but my images still went for sale and now after two months they are supposed to have been finally deleted from the site as they promised me. However... They are not on the marketplace anymore but they are still there and visible and for grabs. NEVER, NEVER start there.

Adobe Stock / Re: Lost sales. Something wrong with Adobe Stock?
« on: October 07, 2016, 10:22 »
I left Fotolia years ago after they started pestering their contributors and have now only uploaded at Adobe Stock.
You know its exactly the same place now?

Ha,Yes I know but Fotolia didn't buy Adobe. Maybe it's a bit better. Anyway I try it for a while. Shutterstock is really not selling like it used to and this could also be because of this Adobe deal. So I'll see how it works out with a light scale portfolio

Hi, Thanks. Good to know that it's not only me. The days before yesterday everything was allright, that's why I wondered what was wrong.

17
My info is still there but my sales page is empty since yesterday. It says " You have no sales" while I sold 14 photos and the amount is still visible.. I'm talking about Adobe Stock now.

I just started and have a small portfolio but had a few sales which are generally a bit higher than SS. I want to get in contact with Adobe Stock about some problems I have with the site. Does anyone know what their contact address is? I can't find anything on their site.

Adobe Stock / Lost sales. Something wrong with Adobe Stock?
« on: October 07, 2016, 02:55 »
Hi, I have made some sales (not so much yet but promising)at Adobe Stock and although the money I earned is still showed on my portfolio page, there is no information on my sales anymore when I follow the arrow to my sales page. Also nothing when I go directly to my sales page. It even says:' you have no sales yet'. It is like this since yesterday and the worrying thing is that I can't find a contact email address. Anyone knows how to get in touch with them and/or having the same experience with lost sales?

They are so not to be trusted!! I just sold an image(for a mere $1.81) with 500px while I had my account deleted a month ago. So they still keep my images for sale while I don't want them to. Don't start with them, don't upload your images with them, they will keep them as if they own them.
Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Contributor Site now live!
« on: September 25, 2016, 06:36 »
Hi, I got in Thursday with my adobe passwords etc and I uploaded about 40images. I sold one yesterday. What I don't understand is the price structure. I see that images are for sale for 9.99 or 59.99 and I earned 0.60 with my sale. Can  anyone explain what happened?
Thanks
As I know, sales come from both sites and are mirrored on both sites. There is no way for us to know what price structure they were sold with and on which site.

Thanks. I guess it must have been fotolia. The earnings at Fotolia turned out so bad after a while that I quit after about 6 years. This is slightly better as it used to. No views on my other images though. It could also be an encouragement sale like 'Go on, post more'. We'll see how it turns out.

Hi, I quit Fotolia years ago but when I get into Adobe with my Adobe password I have to sign up for a testversion of Adobe sign which ultimately costs $120 a year. Is this correct? The link to this test version doesn't work by the way. What do I do?
Thanks,

Where do you "get into Adobe"?
Do you want to contribute to Adobe stock? The support files say that:

Quote
Step 1:
Create an account
Submit content on Fotolia.com. And coming soon, submit directly on Adobe Stock or through Lightroom CC and Bridge CC.
Still you could try to sign in here but the upload links redirect to FT (for now):

https://contributor.stock.adobe.com or https://stock.adobe.com/contributor

I have an existing Adobe account for the webstore, should I login with that account to sync my Fotolia portfolio? I can't seem to login with my Fotolia login when signing in on Adobe.

@Noedelhap, yes use your existing Adobe ID. Your Fotolia credentials won't work when logging into the Adobe Stock portal.

I received e-mail from 500px today titled "Get ready for more global exposure"

They say they are expanding the community with 500px.me, the mandarin version of the site, so images will be sync'd on both sites. There is an option to opt out of global distribution, so I went and opted out.

I am no longer in marketplace (when they slashed royalties), but I did leave my images already uploaded on 500px.com. I'm not yet ready to take images with such a weak watermark to their Mandarin site (I'm already pretty disappointed that they did nothing about the watermark after all the focus group stuff prior to hiring KK Thompson).

Possibly I should just delete the portfolio completely, but I'm still sort of hoping something might improve there.

Anyway, just an FYI for anyone who still has images with them.

They really are unbelievable. Too many people must have opted out because the opt out possibility has been removed. This is what it says on the FAQ page:
Is there an Opt In/Out option?

"Unlike the first iteration of the new Home feed in February, there will no longer be an Opt In/Out option. This option was solely used to gather feedback from our community to ensure expectations were met by the time we made this new Home experience available to our entire community."

I had removed most of my images from the Marketplace. Sold another three this month and started to believe in 500pix again but after this latest thing I guess I just have to close my account. I hope they still pay out. I guess starting deleting images is the only thing while I'm waiting for pay out...

SORRY THIS SEEMS A MISTAKE THERE STILL IS AN OPT OUT POSSIBILITY. LOOKED AT THE WRONG FAQ PAGE... DON'T KNOW HOW TO DELETE THE ABOVE

I was quite happy with 500pix. I guess the honeymoon is over now.
