Envato / Model Release form how?
« on: February 23, 2012, 08:37 »
I want to upload some images with MR but I can't find out how to do this. Can I upload an MR and then connect it to the images concerned later? And how? It's not very easy to see. (Or I am looking the wrong way)
Thanks

I got accepted and have uploaded since then quite some images. They review fast (24 hours) but they rejected so many bestsellers of mine that I wonder how they do this reviewing.  Anyway I try not bother about that too much. It's their loss..
Can you change the price of the accepted images? I notice all of them have 3,- . And where do you see if you are submitted for Extended license? I want to make sure that has been turned off. Thanks for the help you all.

Hover over your name and select Settings from the dropdown menu. It's in the Licenses section

Thanks!

My print screen seems to big to upload and i have no idea how to make it smaller.
Sorry. What do you have to do with this zip thing? I saw it but didn't do anything with it. Maybe that's the problem. If trying to get in is already this difficult I wonder what it is like once you're in...

I just tried to upload some of my images for the first acceptance. I chose about ten files and I can't upload because I get this weird "You must select your portfolio from the drop down" I have no idea what they mean. Anyone can help me there?

Hi, I have again a few batches ftp uploaded last week but are still not in my portfolio. I have sent a mail to to inform you about this but nothing has happened yet. Should I do something else?

83
It seems I need an ITTN number to receive all my money. Otherwise they take 30 % from my US sales...

Hi Zsolt, I have uploaded a few batches the last days  with ftp and as usual mailed this info to AYCS. I haven't had a reply yet and I can see these images haven't turned up in my portfolio yet. The first batch is of Jan 26. Something went wrong?
Thanks, Patricia

On the forum at DT many are complaining about the lack of sales these last weeks. Guess what? Thread is CLOSED......

I just wish it was just that easy. You have to apply to the IRS in the Usa and ask for a ITN number. I guess you do that with this form. As I understand you are not given a ITN number very easily. But you can try if you want to. Good luck

My last mistake will be it. No more uploading at 3D until they can change this tax thing into a web form you can fill like all the other agencies. The Netherlands have a tax agreement with the US so I shouldn't even have to pay any tax at all! And now I don't even get a percentage of the money I am intitled to. Strange ways..

88
Do you think it is legal to keep my money like this?

89
Hi, I just tried to register. I have to give my public name. What do you mean by that?

90
Hi, I just stupidly uploaded a few more of my images to 3D as I had some sales the last days. But..they will not pay me until I send them a IRS W-8 form. I will not do that because I will not give information to the US IRS as I pay taxes in the Netherlands. (I guess quite a lot more than in the US). Is there anyone who has found a solution to this problem other than sending them the tax form? I will delete all my images there when they will not pay me but they still owe me some money. I don't understand why they are the only stockagency with this ridiculous demand. Hope someone has some positive news on this.
Thanks

@Baldrick (you must be a fan of Blackadder as well...) You are right. I checked my downloads of jan 2011 and I have done better as well ( without the EL). I'll see how it develops next week...

Anyone else having slow sales at SS? I usually have sold about 25-30 at the end of the day but the last days it hasn't been above 17. Today I have only sold 4 !(luckily an EL included)  Especially US sales are way down.

I suggest SS, DT and 123rf.

Non exclusives get 25%. I don't understand why so many people are interested to submit. A new site which starts at this level?

sales! that the final answer, despite the low 25%

Well, I think you shoot yourself in the leg. As long you are willing to sell your images this cheap you will ultimately get nothing paid at all! If you want to stay in this business you'll have to make choices.

I would love to upload more at GL when I get sales there but have had only four sales in the last year. Maybe because I have priced them 6,-. It is not worth the trouble it seems...

Same here. Having more sales and it seems they are doing better. Am very happy to see that.

Why should I refer buyers to Istock? I would be crazy to do that. I rather refer them to sites who pay us fairly!

General Stock Discussion / Re: How Does Alamy Stack Up
« on: October 11, 2011, 02:26 »
I'm having some images at Alamy but have missed the notice about the change in file size. Can anyone elaborate?
And is anyone happy with novel use? I have opted out that one but am curious if I should opt in now? I have about 800+ files and sell about one a month on average.
