Adobe Stock / Re: Is Fotolia Tanking for anyone else?
« on: October 11, 2012, 12:14 »
i think grp_photo just share his view, i was expecting a portfolio that with a lot of lifestyle or business studio shots, so i am quite surprise it is a different kind of portfolio.

it is strange a lot of people want to defend their opinion and if people had different opinions then it is arrogant blah blah..it will actually just stop people from telling what they think.

basically if drop from $800 to $18 in 3 month.. it can't be normal.

Thanks for portfolio-link, really no offense but I think you have been pretty lucky to make 800,- with a non-exclusive portfolio of this size and content at Fotolia. Hope you will get back to your old figures pretty soon!

No thing as constant luck in stock sales. With her sales I will rather say, learn from someone who clearly knows what the market wants. Think your remark is rather arrogant in the face is what clearly is superior market knowledge.

Melissa's  port differs 120% from mine. That is what makes stock so great. The spectrum is so enormously wide that there are space with thousands of different styles. Great job Melissa, hope your images will get there place back in your market industry sector soon.

PS How about a link to your port grp?
Didn't want offend anyone that is a matter of fact maybe it's a language problem I'm not a native speaker.
Dreamstime perfomance is in line what I would expect, Fotolia isn't from my knowledge I would say this the other way around too ( If I would expect more).
It's a great portfolio but it's not the only one!
An exclusive portfolio on Fotolia like this would make much much more than 800,- , but for a non-exclusive the performance was much more than I would expect that's all.
Just shows you don't know what you're talking about.  No offence :)
ok whatever

I found this information in moneybookers.. i clicked on the whole sale exchange rates link of them, but the exchange rate seems is not updating.

so do u guys know does moneybookers had a better exchange rate than paypal?

For transactions involving currency conversion Skrill (Moneybookers) adds 2.49%* to our wholesale exchange rates for foreign currency. This charge serves as a protection against the volatility and risk associated with FX markets. The Skrill (Moneybookers) exchange rates are updated on a regular basis throughout the day.

304
to me it is not appropriate usage, first it alternates the fact, the guy wasn't there and nothing related to the food wagon. Editorial purpose image should not be alternated.

Anyway, appropriate or not, if all up to someone bring it to court.

i think i have similar issue, but i realise it is from the stockxpert..since it is listed as istock payment too.. did u request payment from stockxpert?

307

eventhough moneybookers charge a fee to withdrawn, if the exchange rate is better, maybe it worth to switch to it?

ALERT
Be carefull what you write in this thread.

308

General Midstock / Re: ZOMG I just had 3 sales through Zoonar
« on: October 03, 2012, 22:30 »
hi perry, would u mind to share usually your sales come from which partner?

the only partner sales i got are from getty..i guess it is sold as very low price as I only got a total amount with message * * * Provision via partner agencies (GETTY_IMAGES) * * *

besides of that i got a few sales a year from zoonar site, but it doesn't indicate it is from any partner agency.

I tried to use it to distribute my RM files, but so far I haven't seen it sold anywhere..

I have there 1268 pictures online seamse 18 months (I do not remember exactly) and 0 sales, no one no two, not for one cent just ZERO!!!

Just curious, do you know how the site works and on which partner sites do you have your images on? The whole idea behind Zoonar is the partner sales, I suspect you have your images only on Zoonar...(?)
I have accepted all partners except Alamy and Getty. 3000 images and I get about 100 euros monthly (it varies quite much month-to-month, but I'd say 100 is the average)

well, i am thinking of changing it to highest price.. hope the batch price edit can be added..

I agree there should be an easy way to do it yourself, but there isn't. I sent them a sitemail and they changed them all for me.

Software - General / Re: 32 bit or 64 bit software
« on: September 12, 2012, 13:15 »
ic..so a 32 bits will slow down on 64 bits system.. thanks!

As far as i know, the main Advantage is that the 64bit versions can use more than 4gb(in most cases 3,2gb) of ram and therefore is faster. Another thing is that 32bit programs need to run in some kind of compatability mode, which might slow it down a tiny bit.

But if you have a 64bit system, why not just use the 64bit versions of the Programs?

Software - General / 32 bit or 64 bit software
« on: September 12, 2012, 13:04 »
hi all,

i am running windows 7 and i5 chip(i think) on laptop.. i think my system is 64 bits, I wonder what is the advantage of install 64 bits program? does it make the program faster? or a 32 bits software will have less demand on hardware?

thanks.

New Sites - General / Re: batch delete option in pond5?
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:10 »
the fastest way i do is to click the 'wheel' tab and when the 'delete appear' right click as another windows... so i just repeat every files on same page..and click delete on every pages.. not the fastest..but good enough.

New Sites - General / batch delete option in pond5?
« on: September 11, 2012, 10:50 »
hi all,

I can't find a way to batch delete files in pond5, i have tried to upload some files and are in pending.. i can delete them one by one but I can't find an delete option in the batch processed..

the reason i want to delete those files in pending is because my ftp transfer was interrupted and some files aren't transferred. I don't want to have duplicate images so it is better for me to transfer again..
