Received an email today but it was for images submitted over a year ago. Hope they get it right soon. Have contacted them.
I have  the same, email with pictures from one year ago.
I also got the new version of the "Status of your recently submitted images‏" mail from SS. It was the two images (1 approved & 1 Not approved) for which a mail was sent exactly a year ago (12-Feb-2014). It looks like the IT techie who had to manually trigger the status mails which were not happening in the last few days and got the year wrong :-)

I gather this needs to be filled in - but where do you find it? I see no link or anything though I did get an email from Payoneer (my current option) about changing payment method on IS....

On your profile page, you will see on the left side of the page under 'Contributor Tools' the options 'Payment Information' (to update your payment details) and the 'Tax Interview'.

Is it over??
My numbers are less than half the usual ones :(

Yes, Beppe Grillo as per Lobo on the iS forum PP thread. I think the Getty360 is yet to come. My numbers are also lower. But they fluctuate every month and I go with what they report  :)

The PP sales are very confusing for me. :o Is there a way to tell which images have been sold during the last month?

Please see if this could help you. http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=352385&page=1

Me too. Looks like a bug in their system.
Back to where I "belonged"  :) The one sale that had occurred when I was bumped up also has been reduced.

There are various image packs and types of licenses under Partner Program. Please check this: http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule

Based on the PP rate-schedule, the $1.83 sale is for "Thinkstock Image Pack 25". I am assuming that you are not an exclusive.

I got three Getty360 sales (for $0.17 each) today. They were for the month of May-2014 though.

New Sites - General / Re: new site stocktal

Jack - Once images are reviewed and approved, do you allow the approved images to be deleted (physical deletion) or can they only be disabled (to prevent them from being sold going forward).
Thanks.

pixol,

you can do anything you wish, they are your works. Deleting images requires no review.
Thanks Jack for your reply.

Because SS allows you to upload a jpg file separate from the vector, I use the opportunity to add more effects that might lead to rasterization if used in the vector. Since I use Inkscape for my vectors, there is not a lot of effects that I can safely use on my vectors. So, I try to give the jpg some additional effects.

88
I saw this with my vectors the whole of last week. It then disappeared for a couple of days earlier this week and is back again.

Are we referring to the SS default payout amount ? If yes, it is not good.

No need to scroll down. A simple tip (which I think I got right here on MSG) is just press the first letter of the country you want a certain number of times. So for USA just press U six times, for Greece press G four times etc (I'm doing the number of times you press from memory so may be slightly out -but you get the idea!). This simple method works across any site (not just microstock) where you have to choose a country from an alphabetical list. You'll soon remember how many times to press for each country and be there virtually instantly. Thanks to whoever passed on that time saving tip! Regards, David.

Thanks for the tip!

In addition to what Newsfocus1 has mentioned, most dropdown lists will allow you to enter multiple characters and get to the item that you want. In this case, if the US is written as 'United States of America', you can type the letters 'u' followed by 'n' one after the other but a bit quicker. It will take you to 'United States of America'. If you are not fast enough, it will take you to the first country that starts with 'u' and then jump to the first country that starts with 'n'

Good Luck  :)

Personally, I submitted 10 different images in my second attempt. All 10 were approved.

After that I resubmitted the images of my 1st attempt that would have been approved with an appropriate note to the reviewer.

Pond5 / Re: Ways they review
« on: August 10, 2014, 12:16 »
Hi
I'm new to Pond5, and I'm just curious about their review practices.  When they review a batch of images, do they just review ONE image and if it doesn't meet their standards they reject ALL those in the batch (like Alamy), or does each individual image get a review?

Thanks,
Ruth

Ruth - Based on my experience, I can say that they do review every image.

30% dl increase, 42% collection growth = 9% fewer sales per image, therefore you need to grow your portfolio 9% per quarter (about 40% per year) just to stand still, if my arithmetic is any good.

assuming all images sell the same.  If you upload images that sell more than 99% of the others then you will see growth even if you don't upload as many as you suggest.
The challenge 'simply' lies in uploading something better than the rest :)
... and be lucky enough to be seen first :)

Seriously, am I missing something? Is it my eyes? My computer?
I agree with you. I could not spot any difference (or noise). I tried my best for 5 minutes. Sorry about the rejections. So, far I have not had issues with my rasters and vectors on SS. Photographs though have become difficult to predict in terms of acceptance.

This is crazy.  Over $1k now in less than one hour.  No way its real.  Now I am scared my whole collection is going to fraudsters.  Nobody from either Pmac or P5 write back to me yet.

I picked up this number from their 'Contact Us'. This looks to be a US number. +1(646)233-2155

If my father can take the time to speak to both employees and customers as well as run a complex global comany with 10,000 employees and $3.1 billion in revenue.

Good for the 10,000 employees whose (company) owner takes some time to listen to them  :)

Deyan - Can you tell us if the increase in FT has come at the cost of other agencies ? Do you see any decrease in sales in other agencies ?

You have mentioned that there have been no increase in the subscription sales. Do you know (if that is even possible to know) whether the subscriptions are more from FT or DPC ?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is too short period of time to draw comparison whether there is a connection and whether this growth is at the cost of other agencies. Moreover, if we talk about sales decline of Single&Other in Shutterstock I can say yes this month they are rather weak, but this type of sales are accidental and can not be createria to conclusions(for example in the past year I have two months with the same drop without the presence of DPC)

About the subscriptions I have no idea what part of them are from DPC.

Thanks Deyan !

I see a $26.01 sale from Thinkstock. What type of license is this?

As per the royalty schedule (http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule) it is Thinkstock Extended License Image Pack 10

Thank you for your time, I didn't see this page before!

No problem ! Now I know that one can even get ELs also in TS :)
