What about this sale

This is scandalous! But it shows one thing: Many contributors opted out from DPC on Fotolia (what I can understand), but are blind to the disastrous pricing models of other agencies like MP, YAY and more!

Changes can be good. But there was a chance and Fotolia has not taken the oppoturnity. Even for a buyer the new design is not clearly arranged. By the way, the new Fotolia and the Pic Niche Toolbar does not work together!

Believe me, PayPal is sticking to their core business, payment services, they are not in the slightest getting into the photography business as they have no experience and no business there. I agree, but it's sad. The trademark "PayPic" would be great!

I think, it's an almost useless keyword, because most buyers search for "white" combind with "blonde" or brunett or red hair instead of caucasian. In Europe actually the term "nordic" is more common as "caucasian".

The worst day is Saturday in my case, Sunday is always better and Monday sales continue normally. Probably the weekend sales differs from case to case.

As lower ISO as possible of course.
But there is another problem. If you reduce the ISO lower than 100 ISO, the Cam (in every case Nikon) will produce Pictures with much harder contrasts. Actually like it was in the good old days with low ISO film material.

@Ariene: There must be something wrong in one or another way. After I opted out my lowest sales were at least 2 or 3 Euro.
BTW: Just to mention it: I like your pictures, and I love the finish of your material. Would fit perfectly with Stocksy I think.

Uploading 1000s files to agency that maybe will sell few files (in subs!) monthly is very naive and poor in my opinion.
Once more: There is an OPT OUT fur subscriptions! And this is more than some other agencies offer!

There are many agencies with less sales as PM. So give them a try. IMO the most horrible thing is the non functional user interface. Some functions doesn't work at all since they changed to the "new" interface some years ago.

A long exposure heats the sensor. This results in more noise. Cold temperatures outside should actually result in less noise.

Yes, I opted out 2 years ago. Sales are rare. But they give then often more revenue as the common microstock level.

I earned 113 Euro there last year, better than nothing. But there is still hope!

But panthermedia offers an opt out function for subsription sales. Panther bought two other german agencies last year (Digitalstock and Cover Pictures), so may be they will be stronger on the german and european market in future.

Paypal offers a great service that works almost worldwide. Why should they not earn money with that service?

... But Fotolia takes the cake on this issue! Some of my best sellers on DT are getting rejected on Fotolia for Too Much Noise or not being at least 4 MP - stuff that is completely untrue. Has anyone experienced this with Fotolia? And to combat this has anyone re-uploaded a previously rejected image and got it accepted at Fotolia?
This is a lesson that you have to learn. A bestseller in an agency is not automatically a bestseller in another agency. Fotolia puts great emphasis on technical quality. Have a look at your pictures and upload only pictures to Fotolia, of which you are convinced. Actually I don't like Fotolia, but I have good sales there, fortunately, the sales increase again for me. So you have to learn, which requirements each agency have. Then you will earn money too!

Please enlighten me. Interesting how many words about closing account, deleting files....
Why should I delete files, close account ? As I said, 40-50$ almost every month on DP is not bad, agree? DP is just another miserable microstock agency. Arent we in this microstock world to earn money?
And btw, are you sure if you delete your files on other agencies, this agencies really delete them from partner sites, as well? NOBODY can track this! And we talked about this problem many times.
It could happen, that you discover your pics for example on Shotshop or other agencies. And you will probably see, that these agencies sale your pictures for a price, say 25 Euro. And than you will recognise, that you get a payout for a simple subscription sale! Could it be a reason for deleting your content?

No, no and no!, this is the worst agency , 90% is subs for 0.30$,10% is credit sales for 0.44$, never and never enterprise license, credit sale are rare like panda. ...
Well, I am not saying that I like DP. However, I don't like misinformation.
Here is RPD (return per download) from my portfolio: 0.62 at DP which is higher than FT (0.49), and almost the same as SS. For reference: 123RF 0.94, DT 1.44. This is just microstock ...
Otherwise, I agree. Do not upload to DP! Or even better. Do not upload to any other stock agency. We don't need more competition.
What "misinformation"? Try to delete a pic on DP. It's impossible. You can't delete any material on DP, even if you close your account. The material will be only "deactivated". Nobody knows, what happens in a few years. But you will not have any control over your work. DP is like facebook, it's like a black hole, There is no way, your material will stay on DTs server as long as DP exist.

NO! Not at all! Once your pics are uploaded, you can't remove your work anymore, deactivation of your material it's the only possibility. Don't feed DP!

Oh yeah, the moon landing is fake, bigfoot is real, and so it the Loc Ness Monster, and Elvis is still alive and living in Topeka.
Yeah, and it's true that China and Saudi Arabia held a majority of Shutterstock shares

First; i hate Fotolia and Shutter: these two agencies invented ways to pay less for our work... All microstocker from europe who i know are growing in fotolia more han Shutter. Why people are Shutter fan and them cry when they rejects photos for stupid reasons? Now thinks to shutter the average price of a photo is 40 cents and thanks to fotolia can buy a photo for a dollar. And both are successful and are imitated
Yes and no. If I summed my total stock income in recent years, Shutterstock leads by a wide margin. This is the point, and no other agency has beaten Shutterstock so far.

I have had a couple of ELs in the last few days and even otherwise much more sales as before. Ask me why, but it's sure: something has changed

Ingimage is not a start-up, we have grown gradually over the last seven years - not through traffic but through sales generated by traditional marketing methods and word of mouth. We are not huge, but our traffic levels are in a similar league to Stocksy - more importantly our loyal customers represent the majority of our traffic, and that group is steadily growing. Many of our present contributors already make very significant royalties through us.
I appreciate we have not reinvented the wheel. But as a smaller collection we do offer a different experience for buyers. Customers do choose us over larger collections as they prefer browsing our edited library.
We offer high royalties compared to other subscriptions (we are accepting applications until April 30th - Ingimage Application Page)
Ingimage is still uninteresting until they'll offer higher comissions. They does not have the download amount of Shutterstock or Fotolia etc but they pay less! Why should we then offer our work? No, first must an agency offer something that makes them interesting for providers. And there I see nothing at the moment!
