my guess is all these sites in the end of the day are competitive to each other so maybe their reviewers look at your portfolio in ss for instance and when you submit them the same image they reject it couse they wanna sell photos that you cant get in ss its not always about technical errors in an image.

Have anyone tried this site/app? It looks interesting to me but I'm thinking my pictures are open to a little bigger risk of getting used without paying. And on the other hand there are usualy used completly other type of photos that usualy don't sell very vell, since stock photo and artistic photos are (usualy) two different things.
Anyone tried this? Anyone have to say anything about this? Good? Bad?
this site is good for competitions and if you are lucky enough for your picture to be part of a photo expedition round the world.i post images there but i would never post these images to microstock sites so i dont care.its fun and kinda refreshing compare to the micr sites where you have to write the right keywords and titles and handle their moronic rejections when you post an image to internet people will steal if from you even in ss they now steal pics and use them so dont let it bother you much. You can try it but i advice not to post images you have them on sale in ss for eg

It depends on the image. If you can identify and correct the specific technical issue it's generally OK to resubmit one time. If you are unsure what the technical issue is, I recommend you post the image here and ask for some feedback before resubmitting.

Thanks Mat, that's what I did. Went back to the original image, checked, cleaned, cropped different, adjusted white balance. It looks pretty good now... rejected for Grain/Noise. I think I'm getting closer. Does Adobe have a win a new monitor and par of stronger glasses contest? I could use both.
as for noise you can use Photoshop to remove it and the PH app topaz it does wonders and in lightroom you can remove the nouse but unfo when you turn up the slider you are losing some details.

i am a member in to this photography club and each week they show us work from known photographers.today it was a screening of some american photographer who used some different tecnicks for her portraits. The half of the people in the club didnt like her work .her portraits looked dull and bit boring sometimes.but on the other hand she gained racognition and fame thanks to this special techic she is using. so in the end of the day is quite subjective whats ev fav cup of tea. some users in the DT forums they like to brag for their acceptance rate showing some images, well some of them looked underexposed or overexposed but they were accepted and i guess they sold somewhere so who am i to judge what image fits best in every agency. in the end of the day the people who will buy your image and wanna use it somewhere they will be the final judge,if someone posted bad images or some bad image and it got accepted in SS for eg it will just stay in ss storage hd for decades

They now accept anything other than for property rights issues and poor captions on editorial.
Shutterstock, Dreamstime, Alamy, 123RF do the same.
The only site from which I get rejections (most of the time inconsistent) is Adobe/Fotolia.
It is far the time when there were tons of rejection for "noise", "white balance", etc.
actually when i send another 5 of 6 pics to ss for the so called test they rejected each of them with the noise issue when i knew there was zero noise also dreamstime rejects some images from time to time .so no they dont accept anything ecxept istock

unfo this happened to me.i created a ss account 2 years ago and they rejected me so i didnt bother anymore.anyhow i tried to upload again becouse they stopped the stupid 7 out of 10 photos,,but i forgot i signed up with yahoo and not with my other mail which i use it in every microstock site i entered again my details couse they told me the first time i didnt type them correct and few days later i got the same <ungry letter> you did .i was so pissed like the op becouse a they are not my boses to get this kind of reaction b i dont work for them they are a just another site when you can upload your content and maybe sell it so i didnt reply them back explaining the mistake i did .<of course later on they rejected some pics i send them which one of them sold on dreamstime with the known noise issue but when i calmed down i can see why they send it couse like most people here say they dont know you so even if this was a mistake from my part or your part they thought this might be a spam too. just dont pay any attention submit your images or videos, try to not get upset when they are gonna reject some awsome work you did couse under their logic you did technical mistakes and just move on to another site to submit your content there.

how does this work you send them a sample of your work to check them and become a contributor? and you have to reach a 100 bucks payout?and most imp they want exclusivity? which is a big no for me

i tried ss 2 times now and i still cant get in as a contributor for the reasons you just wrote.i have a portfolio small or big in each agency and sales and only ss i cant have pictures approved. and no i am not innexperienced in photography i did many shootings with models took part in photo expeditions so i know something about photography and what noise is.and its pathetic couse the reviewer with their constant rejections makes you feel that you suck in this thing and you lose hope My guess is . its becouse these sites are compentative, they dont wanna sell the same pictures.so maybe the reviewer is checking if you have posted these images somewhere else, and maybe thats why he gives you the hard time. And another reason which i am certain thats the main reason,is maybe the reviewer have a portfolio too and he doesnt want to compete with you for eg if you have similar images as him.or her ,and he gives you bogus reasons for rejections dont try to reason with them they take thousants of pictures a day and in the end of the day they just dont care if they are gonna reject a big amount of photos best is keep submiting and move one.you already have these files approved in other agencies so you are still may get some sales in the future.
