Hi, When I first did the sync on the Adobe site it got all my information from Fotolia, including address, and tax info. I went to look at it now, and I see my illustrations are there, but on contributgor info, only my name is there...No address, no tax form....
Do i have to fill that in, I thought it came from Fotolia? I just don't want the 1099 to get messed up like what happened with 123 RF.
You may have accidentally synced with the wrong account. Your tax form should have carried over to the Adobe Stock Contributor portal if is is valid in your synced Fotolia account. Please send me an email directly with your Adobe ID and your Fotolia account number or login name and I'll take a look for you. email: kind regards, Mat Hayward

I am trying to sync, but the page just refreshes and comes up again blank. I already have an adobe cc account, but it doesn't seem to accept my fotolia login - also, to be sure - I changed my password on fotolia, didn't have success with that either.
And, btw, the login is pretty much insecure: the browser address shows the username and password unprotected when submitting: https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/nl/onboarding/sync-fotolia-2?username=******&password=***** (the * are your current fotolia username and password)
Edit: I always use google chrome on my mac, just tried with safari, now everything went ok and I am synced, so maybe this can help if you run into problems like I did.
Thanks for the detailed feedback. That's very helpful. I shared your comments with the team. It sounds like that link you referenced is not ours. The issue appears to be associated with a password auto-fill plugin you may have installed in Chrome. I'm glad that switching browsers resulted in success for you. -Mat

Please make sure the email options you want are selected at both Fotolia and the Adobe Stock Contributor portal. If they are and you are still not getting the emails be sure to check your junk folder as they may be there.
If you have checked all of that and still can't get the emails, let me know your account via email and I'll ask the tech team to take a look.
Thanks,
Mat

I synced my account yesterday and all went smoothly.
However, I notice that today I'm getting 20c commission on some sales? What happened? I thought there was a minimum guarantee applicable 'to make sure contributors are always fairly compensated, whatever the price is' (she quotes with tongue firmly planted in cheek).
Did something change with the Adobe sign up?
EDIT:
Oh, I just checked on my Fotolia page, and it appears I was paid the correct amount. You may wish to get your Adobe email amended, as that is showing a lower amount.
@KuriousKat will you please forward the notification email you received to me so I can review it. email: Thanks, Mat

Hi Matt:
Thank you for that info. You say: "Since you can only sync on the first visit I felt it was important to emphasize the importance."
You are talking about syncing and retaining and losing rank - first I've heard about that, so could you explain exactly the process, as you say it has to be done right first time.
So; I contribute to fotolia directly on the fotolia site. I have an Adobe ID because I have bought plenty of Adobe software.
Do I now go to: https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/ ? It says "Contribute Now (beta)" and "sign in with Abobe account"
Is this the place to be to do this syncing?
I don't want to go further at this stage before knowing exactly what will happen
Will there be a place to request syncing of fotolia account? Is it obvious?
Cheers, Pablito
Yes, you will be prompted to sync your Adobe ID with your Fotolia ID when you first sign in to contributor.adobe.com. If the email address on your Adobe ID is the same as what is in your Fotolia profile and you have created only one Fotolia account this process will be automatic and is required. If your email address is different however, once you log in you will be asked if you are already an existing Fotolia contributor. Select yes, then enter your Fotolia login name and password. At that point you should be all set. -Mat

@click_click Lots of good questions here, thanks for writing. I'll do my best to answer them all for you.
Is it fair to ask WHY there need to be two separate sites to handle ONE account?
You don't need to use the portal. It is a new tool that has been created in an effort to speed up the workflow of contributors but it is not mandatory for you to use. You can continue to use the Fotolia upload process as normal. Your content will still be available through Adobe Stock even if you never visit the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal.
I haven't done the activation on Adobe yet but I have seen here that apparently there is a limitation on Adobe when it comes to Extended License pricing...? Am I correct that if I submit on Adobe that I can only set the EL to 80 credits max, while on Fotolia I can set it to 100?
That is correct. Extended license prices are fixed at $79.99 on Adobe Stock for all contributors except for the Premium collection. The commission rate for all is 33% on these sales. At Fotolia if you are ranked silver or higher you can set your Extended license prices between 30 credits and 100 credits. Your commission is determined by your rank.
First, why is it different?
Are you referring to the Extended License prices? If so, I wasn't involved in those discussions so I can't be sure. I can see why it would be beneficial from a customers perspective to have a more consistent price structure across the system on content.
Secondly, is this the beginning of a planned transition to ONE Adobe account while Fotolia will be shut down in a year or two? Would that mean that this automatically will lead to a new EL pricing?
Not to my knowledge. Fotolia is still the #1 agency in Europe providing great service to a large customer base. Both sites are running independently of each other so as a contributor you get the advantages of both agencies.
Again, why two sites to handle one account? It just don't get it. Many questions.
See my answer above.
Also the wording to switch to Adobe ("(which we would highly recommend you to do so!)") makes me feel icky.
I think the quote you are referencing was regarding the sync process when you first sign in to the contributor portal. If you don't sync your Adobe ID to your Fotolia account the system will create a new account for you and you will be starting fresh at Adobe Stock. Your stats and rank will not carry over. Since you can only sync on the first visit I felt it was important to emphasize the importance.
Thanks again for the questions,
Mat Hayward

Hey Matt,
I can't seem to find a way to sort my portfolio on Adobe Stock. Eg: I want to find a specific file in my thousands of online files, I need to go through each page at the moment - correct?
I think we really need the ability to search within a portfolio by keyword, id number etc, and then be able to link from the search results to an image asset page where we can edit it if we need to.
I think for me this is the number 1 thing I would like to see at the moment.
Cheers.
@Microstock Man, you can search from within your portfolio at Adobe Stock. The search needs to be through Adobe Stock however and not the portal. The way to do this is to click the "Contributor Account" link at the top then click "See my public profile" in the upper right corner. From there, any searches you conduct will only produce results from your portfolio. -Mat

Thanks Matt!
Mine worked. I'm not sure now if I should contribute to Fotolia and Adobe Stock (if I ever get to uploading). If I upload to both will the content be duplicated or ...sync across platform? Thanks.
Yes, it doesn't matter which platform you upload through, your approved content will be online at both Fotolia and Adobe Stock. -Mat

I have an existing Adobe account for the webstore, should I login with that account to sync my Fotolia portfolio? I can't seem to login with my Fotolia login when signing in on Adobe.
@Noedelhap, yes use your existing Adobe ID. Your Fotolia credentials won't work when logging into the Adobe Stock portal. -Mat

Mat, I can't sync account. What can I do?
My screenshot with problem is below.
thnx
You might need to reset your password at Fotolia. Be sure it meets the criteria I mentioned in the thread above. I have to hop on a plane right now so I'll be offline for a bit. If you are still having trouble after resetting your Fotolia password, send me an email directly and I'll ask the team to take a look at your account. email: Thanks for your patience, Mat

Sorry guys my question again!
My email for Adobe ID is different as my email login for Fotolia site.
I would really like to know what to choose to sync correctly my Fotolia account with new Adobe Contributor portal: "Create an Adobe ID" or "Continue with my Adobe ID" ? It is OK to choose Continue with my Adobe ID although i have different email for Fotolia contributor page?
Thank you
You should be able to keep your existing Adobe ID and sync it to your existing Fotolia account. It just won't be automatic since your email address is different.
Mat,
I have 2 adobe IDs: an old one using an Yahoo account and a more recent one using a Gmail account. I had to create a new account when I decided to go for PS and LR cloud subscription, since the offer was better for new subscribers than for existing Adobe users. (strange, but that's a different topic)
Today, when I opened my new Adobe contributor account, I used the old Yahoo email (not the one I'm using to pay for PS and LR) When I try to "manage my Adobe ID" (upper left menu) to switch to my Gmail account (the one I use to pay for PS and LR), I am told that my Fotolia account is "already in use". See the attachment.
Is there an advantage for FT/AS contributors to use the account used to pay for LR and PS? If yes, can you explain why and let me know how to re-sync my second, active, Adobe ID to my Fotolia account?
Thanks.
The only advantage I can think of to using the Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership is that you can upload directly through Lightroom and Bridge. Another benefit is that you won't need to log out and back in when going from processing your work to working in the portal. I'm learning first hand this can get a bit confusing but as with anything, over time it will become second nature.
Unfortunately, once you sync your account with an Adobe ID you can't switch it to a different ID or re-sync.
-Mat
I see. Then is there a way to be able to cancel my existing cloud subscription and re-subscribe with the old Adobe ID, while maintaining the same cost structure I already signup for?
That's a great question. Unfortunately I'm not qualified to answer it. You will need to check with Adobe Customer Support directly for any Creative Cloud questions. Sorry about that. -Mat

Thanks Matt for coming back about passwords.
What about commission rates being different on the two sites, Adobe Stock is showing a lower commission, so they are not syncing.
Like the clean look
Commission rates are the same. All images sold on Adobe Stock are paid 33% of the price paid. Fotolia subscriptions also result in commission of 33% paid. Fotolia credits sales are paid a percentage based on your rank. Please note that in your sales stats on Adobe Stock, this will also include your Fotolia sales just like Fotolia stats include Adobe Stock sales.
Is that where the disconnect is or is there another issue? If so, please provide specific details so I can check it out.
Thanks,
Mat
Hi Mat,
Thanks for getting back to me, I can see what going on its a bit confusing, the Fotolia site is reporting in credits and the Adobe site is reporting in pounds sterling.
Not sure of the correlation between these two sites in terms of money, but hope they are the same.
Many thanks
Roy
Thanks for clarifying. It's the same currency. What credits are worth in Fotolia is based on the zone you registered your account in. In your account for example, one credit should be equal to one pound. If you were registered in the US zone, one credit is equal to $1 USD. The money is the same, it just reads a bit differently on the portal. -Mat

Thanks for the suggestion Cathy. Unfortunately, I don't have an Adobe account, so I'm using my Fotolia login as instructed. Not sure what additional benefits for all of us there are in having each contributor manually log in and sync (with problems that arise such as mine) as opposed to just either rebranding or syncing everything over while keeping usernames/passwords intact. While I see a lot of "it's a good idea" and "you may lose ranking", I don't see any obvious benefit, aside from editing ability after approval. Which they could just probably provide on Fotolia if they wanted to.
Hi @Daryl Ray, thanks for sharing your feedback. I apologize for any confusion I created for you. There is no obligation for you to sign into the portal if you do not want to. My intent was to inform you it was an option if you wanted to check it out. Your Fotolia will continue to act as normal and your portfolio will be available at Adobe Stock regardless of whether you submit via Fotolia or Adobe Stock. If you do want to log into the portal you will need to either sync to an existing Adobe ID or since it appears you do not already have one, you will need to create an Adobe ID. Your Fotolia credentials do not automatically generate an Adobe ID. -Mat

You are not able to adjust your extended license prices when submitting through the portal. If you are ranked silver or higher, the price will automatically be set to 80 credits. I'm happy to do bulk changes to 100 credits on your portfolio if you reach out to me directly. -Mat

There is no "thumbs", when viewing sales through adobe...
I have a question though, how do you set price for EL through Adobe, I'm uploaded few files there, I don't see that option...
@Dumc, thanks for the questions. We are aware of the thumbnail issue in the sales page. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. You can't adjust prices in the portal at this time. The extended license is set to 30 credits for white rank, 60 credits for bronze and 80 credits for silver and above. If you are at a higher rank and prefer to upload through the portal but want different EL prices you are welcome to contact me directly for bulk changes to pricing on your entire portfolio. @H20 you may have an old password grandfathered in at Fotolia but the same criteria now applies for both FT and AS. Password must be at least 8 characters long, have at least one capitol letter, one lower case letter, one number and one special character. @wordplanet, great suggestion. I will add it to the list of feedback and requested features. @seanlocke, thanks for the information. I'm not sure what would have caused that. I'll make a note for the engineers. @graphs80, you can set the main category. One of the biggest pain points reported by contributors regarding the upload process was the category selection process. The intent is to simplify it for everyone. @alexzappa yes, you can submit to Adobe Stock ftp if you prefer. It doesn't make a difference though. If you upload via Adobe Stock ftp the files will show up in Fotolia indexing tool also and vice versa. @Dodie, commission structure is the same. No changes have been made and it doesn't make a difference if you submit via the portal or Fotolia. -Mat

This seems like valuable info on why to sync your accounts....
Adobe Stock Contributor - Are there any advantages when I sync my account?
Yes! You will have access to your existing assets and account information in the Adobe Stock contributor portal and can continue to enjoy the benefits of your Fotolia rank instead of starting over with a new account.
I can't figure out what that means exactly. If they terminate Fotolia.. and your account isn't synced, you loose your rank? Or, your sales/search placement on adobe are only rank based if your accounts are synced?
Great point @Leaf. If you opt not to sync and you create a new account with your Adobe ID on the contributor portal you will essentially be starting a new account in addition to your Fotolia account. Rank will still count, however you will be starting over at white on the content you submit through the portal. That content would not be added to your existing portfolio and those sales will not count towards your existing rank but instead will begin working towards a new rank. There is no reason not to sync that I can think of. -Mat

So what are the benefits if we already upload to Fotolia? Why should we move to the new site?
Thanks for the great feedback everyone. Keep in mind, this is a beta site so more features will be released as time goes on. Your input it very helpful. Right now, the bulk of the features will benefit contributors new to the submission process. We are working to simplify the upload process for everyone. As the beta site evolves, I expect you will begin to see more and more features that are advantageous to your workflow. If you are content with the Fotolia upload experience, there is no reason for you to change at this time though I still recommend you sync your accounts and take a look. There are currently several specific features that you may like as existing contributors. In the Adobe Stock contributor portal you will find the auto-keywording tool which is helpful if you are not adding your metadata in advance. In addition, you can drag and drop your images into the web uploader which was a feature many have asked for. There is not a limit as to how many images you can drop at once which was another feature requested by many. Also, something else that will be useful for some of you is that in the portal you can edit the keywords and title of your existing content if necessary. -Mat

Just having a look round. All reference to rank refers to "Fotolia Rank", nothing about rank on AS. Dude tell me you aren't thinking about busting our ranks and commissions down for AS sales.
Your Fotolia rank is still relevant in the same ways. All Adobe Stock sales will add to your sales count for rank at Fotolia. -Mat

Also just to clarify. If we upload to FL our content is mirrored to AS, is the inverse also true? If I upload to AS will my content also go to the old FL site? Is there any extra delay in either direction?
Yes, all approved content submitted through the portal will appear in your Fotolia portfolio also. -Mat
