Here are my numbers: Number of clips in SS: 35 Duration: more than a year Total income: $0
Number of clips I need to get $500 per month: Infinity
Ouch! Though the clips are few... I think you should have made more Why didn't you submit to other sites? What niche are you in?
Mostly travel type. I tried 123RF and Pond5 (only a few) too. No luck. And gave it up... I think I better stick to my strengths, i.e. photography. At least, that's what I enjoy most.

Hi Everyone I am pretty new to stock footage. Just started yesterday. I do have some old footage that I am cutting up though Looking to create a side income besides regular the camera work and editing which I freelance on. I have looked through the forum and I see right now most people are on SS,P5 and then VideoBlocks. I have decided to go with those 3 for now. I know this varies based on subject matter and the sheer quality of the clip but.... What I would like to know are your average clip numbers for each site and your equivalent monthly income? , if you feel ok sharing. ![Grin ;D](https://www.microstockgroup.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I am hoping i can get any average from different people and estimate how many quality clips (and how much time) I would need to put in to achieve my income goals.
I'll like to estimate for example, how many clips might I need to achieve a 500 dollar income monthly?
I have currently submitted about 30 clips. Awaiting approval on all 3 sites mentioned.I am based on Africa so they are mostly African themed.. (I don't know if that's a disadvantage or otherwise). I hope to continue charing my experience as the weeks and months pass.

Their criteria are changing. Now not only in title of the image should not be "foreign" text, they rejected image of a church with latin text on the external wall. Which language is not foreign for this reviewer? In the same time they send e-mail that they want a free image and requested personal data from photographer. Thanks, ss, your e-mail is in trash.
Normally SS accept them as editorial images.

Awesome! I love Fotolia!
Sooner or later, SS will introduce exclusivity.

Have to submit to FT, similar to photos? Will be available in both Adobe and FT?

Only non-editorial videos?

Anyone knows how to find such thieves? It would be great if stvagna can give us some hints.

Maybe they're looking for a possibility rather than a trend.
True that. After reading the responses from jarih, mcp, Noedelhap, Zero Talent, it seems there is nothing much to worry about. Finally it a matter of how majority does. Thanks for responding...

So if you had $33 in ODs and $100 in subscriptions, your ratio would be .33
Correct. Is that what you're comparing? If so, mine is .84 and that's down from 1.00003 in November 2014
That's far better than mine. Mine was 0.55639 in November 2014, but it keeps decreasing. However the ELs and SODs are where some of the big differences come and I do think those are trending down
I don't see any trend in ELs and SODs. For me, just random variations of those.

My ODs/SUBs ratio in Nov is 0.33 (in terms of $). This is the lowest for me. Anyone else would like to share numbers? ODs are disappearing?

Its gonna suck even more when you get rejections
Not likely to be an issue for me. I've been selling photos on IS, FT, and GI for quite a while. I know what they want and what they don't want.
Oh this is going to be fun to watch. You know what SS wants and doesn't?
Oh, don't you know? They need weed!

I would upload to the existing account and deactivate the old images > if they are not selling anymore. 2005 account may be something prestigious.
A 2004 account never earned me any brownie points. ![Shocked :o](https://www.microstockgroup.com/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)
Because it's not a 2005 account

SS really behave like the government of my country.
Contributors are unhappy, but they left with no options. SS did what they want. The end of yet another story.

you have to pay a currency conversion fee on your cheque as well , withdrawing money on paypal is free and if you get paid in dollars there is no conversion fee and the agency mostly absorbs the paypal fee as well, i pay zero fees using paypal,
Seems you are from US or Zimbabwe

seriously, i must ask you why you do not open a paypal or whatever account so you could get your money immediately? the paper cheque takes weeks to reach you and another week to cash. why would you even want to do that???
To avoid paying currency conversion fee to Paypal. Their rates are bad.

Oh come on... Its just some private profile on facebook, nothing commercial at all. I'm willing to bet that copyright issues didn't even occur to the poor guy when he found a cool pic that might look good on his facebook page. I suggest you get off your high horse and concentrate on something productive.
You pirate! I mean your profile picture

Normally, I don't involve in a discussion if it's out of my interests. Sometimes I leave after halfway through if I lose my interest. Then I don't worry what others discuss about. Probably you can try the same. No one is forced to involve in each and every thread. Just a suggestion.

off topic like reddit or pickup gurus,, or just plain way off topic rather than closely related photography topics other than microstock.
Shouldn't they go in the massage board for "General Photography Discussion"? http://www.microstockgroup.com/general-photography-discussion/

as leaf titled this forum... MSG , it is not about discussing mono sodium glutamate and even more, it is not about discussing mass suicide genocide or what other MSG means
This thread is posted in "Off Topic" section.

June-Dec, 2016
https://www.stockperformer.com/blog/interview-series-brianna-wettlaufer-co-founder-and-ceo-of-stocksy/
She doesn't say 2016 in there. She just mentions the Call To Artists as it is right now and the numbers that were received during that period in the past. Though I would not assume it will start again earlier next year, I would also not take this as an assurance it will open again in June.
I really don't know what will happen, probably you know better. But the interview question was: "Being able to say I am a Stocksy contributor has become a sign of pride and creativity. How many contributors are you planning to accept in 2016? What do you recommend applicants to increase their chances of success in joining your ranks?"

What are the reasons for rejections? Similars? Technical problems?
