You're lucky, I would prefer more sales and less zooms, but it's good to know the zoom count isn't accurate.

I'm new to Bigstock and find it slow. Hard to believe it's so high on the Poll Results to the right.

I've only had couple of sub sales average 0.27 cents, standard sales are OK averaging 5.83 dollars this month.

New Sites - General / Re: Anyone selling in iclipart.com?« on: February 08, 2012, 06:20 »So, what is wrong with it? I looked into iClipart awhile back but became apprehensive. Honestly I can't remember why, but I would also be interested in feedback from current contributors. 161

Getty Images - iClipart.com - iStockphoto - Jupiterimages - Photos.com - PunchStock - Thinkstock - WireImage If you Google - Getty Images and iClipart - you'll find iClipart to be a subsiduary of Getty. 162

New Sites - General / Re: How is Your luck with vectorstock.com ?« on: January 31, 2012, 06:03 »
I think contributors should make rational decisions as to where they upload images. If you're not happy with the site - don't upload there. If you do vectors, naturally Vectorstock seems like the logical place to go, but even a site like Fotolia, that has been criticised for lowering prices, is paying four times more for a vector image than Vectorstock. I guess you can always give the stuff away, but your also warping the business for the rest of us.
If they improved the pricing policies I would tempted to upload some images. 164
GLStock / Re: Graphic Leftovers has new Look« on: January 27, 2012, 17:40 »
An adjustment of pricing is something they probably had to try because the old structure just wasn't working.
I hope it works for them and improves contributor returns. 165
Dreamstime.com / Re: Is DT alive ?« on: January 27, 2012, 03:33 »
I've noticed that if you don't upload new images to DT you seem to drop off the radar.
No new files = less sales. 166
Illustration - General / Re: some questions about generating jpg from eps« on: January 22, 2012, 05:22 »
If banding appears after generating a jpg from the eps, in my experience if you look closely, it's already in the initial file. When this happens I use a blends instead of gradients to get rid of the banding.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Any advantage in ungrading to 18MP for stock?« on: January 22, 2012, 03:47 »
Fotolia gives me the XL price for my 12MP camera shots and XXL price for larger images that I've made using a scanner. I've been considering upgrading to a 16MP camera to get the higher return.

So many are or feel invisible to the public, and even for just a moment you gave them a voice and looked them in the eye. You see the pain in their eyes but despite their situations you got them to focus on some personal positive. Bravo! 169

Why have two different sites with overlappings images but different price structure?
Dune / Graphic River = too complicated. 171
123RF / Re: Change in Commission Structure for 123RF.com Contributors« on: January 05, 2012, 06:46 »I didn't get the mail either - I think 123rf might have had a problem with how this mail was sent. And as pointed out, why no site mail on this as well as e-mail? I can't buy the "check your spam filters" when (a) so many didn't get it and (b) I regularly check my spam filters and it wasn't there either. I hasn't received anything either. Communicating this change through MSG is totally unprofessional. Plus this special treatment of MSG contributors is unfair. 172

General Stock Discussion / Re: What should be the ideal image prices?« on: December 25, 2011, 08:12 »"I feel micro could have (and should have) started at a much higher price point when it began." So true, when I first got involved with microstock as a buyer I couldn't believe the prices. I'd just download the high resolutions images for comps and if they got the green light it was just one less step in the production process. Even today when I need a special image for a project I end up downloading more than I need. The return on the picture that I use will easily cover the costs of the others. 175
StockFresh / Re: StockFresh - Is the opportunity passing?« on: December 21, 2011, 02:45 »
The StockFresh site is well designed and contributor friendly. The images they use as examples are selected by someone with good taste. I've been getting regular monthly sales but nothing to write home about. More buyers is all they're missing.
