I make one size jpeg for all sites and its 25 000 000 pixels or slightly less. The only exceptions are Shutterstock which gets the additional 800 pixel long side version and Canstock who create their own from the vector file.

My revenue for this year is up 25% compared to 2012. What sells on Veer is different from other sites.

Something positive. I had two ELs and an XLarge sale yesterday! Veer isn't a consistent performer but they do come on strong now and then. It's still my third best earner with an approval rating of 88%.

It's OK, but it doesn't look like a corporate design professional did it.
If not, that's a positive.

I'm in the same boat, images pending since Sept 11th. September was also my worst month ever at 123RF and October isn't shaping up to be much better.

The "Buyer searched for" column in earnings on Dreamstime is revealing
A FEW EXAMPLES OF RECENT SALES ARE DIRECTLY FROM BASIC KEYWORDS
Title: Burlap texture Searched for: texture
Title: Bowlerl hat Searched for: hat
Title: Maple leaf Searched for: fall leaf
Title: Empty head Searched for: memory
Title: Sunglasses Searched for: sunglasses
BUT THERE ARE A FEW ODD ONES
Title: Rowing team Searched for: care (care was not a keyword)
Title: Beach umbrella Searched for: house for sale (no keyword here)
Title: Clef and star Searched for: broadway sign (broadway was a keyword)
I've begun to think you don't need 50 keywords - 30 should be plenty.

I spend more time thinking about what to draw than actually doing it.

For me the best of the low would be Dreamstime, 123RF, Canstock, Deposit Photos and Bigstock. But aren't the best of the low actually middle tier earners? The lowest of the low are Graphic Leftovers and Stockfresh.
Vectorstock is just bad news for all vector artists.

I ordered and got my CS6 a few weeks ago but it was like - I'm not sure it's still available, we'll call you if we can't locate one.

Dreamstime always comes on like they know what sells. I've got one image rejected image from DT that has been downloaded 200% more on SS than my all time total downloads on DT.

Dreamstime makes me feel uncomfortable with their STOP & GO function and odd rejections. They are still my 4th best and on the positive side - I've had five 0-level purchases in the past month.

Top tier?? For more sales I'm getting less income. RF is lower middle tier for me.

Adobe bought most of their competitors, discontinued applications, giving us less options to choose from. Relearning software to accomplish the same thing a different way has been such a waste of my time and money. Now, with the lack of competition, they think they've got us by the balls. I started with Photoshop 1.0 quite a few upgrades ago.

After a slow start it turned out to be a good month. A sixty dollar OD on SS, an EL on Veer, Fotolia was slower than usual, Dreamstime was normal, a surprise sale on Alamy with the rest of the field full of hope for better times.

I believe the #200 from Up2date is by far the best! I like how word "stock" is completely enclosed in the speech bubble, which greatly symbolizes purpose of this web site which is: Discussion about the stock! I think that is great logo with idea inside!
I agree. I think this is the boldest logo of the bunch due to the speech bubble in that red filled color next to the bold black font. you can read it really fast. I would like to see a version of this logo with a slightly different font as the "C" in the "MICRO" seems off somehow. Maybe if the designer would give more breathing room between the M I C so that you see a little more white space. That and a version of the speech bubble without a pointy tip and more smooth.
#200 is a fast read and the poor letter spacing can be fixed but I won't give the word "Group" such a secondary role.

The selection in Round 2 is a little unfair. You've got something like 6 logos that are variations of the same theme and two others that are distinctly different. What happens is that votes will be spread out over the 6 benefiting the the other two.
I don't quite understand. You can vote for as many as you like and give as many 5s or 1s as you like. The face that most are variations shouldn't play into it at all.
It shouldn't play into it but in situations a like this it usually does. In my opinion should have the best one of the 6 compared to the other two.

I just got a 100% rejected batch...is there a new criteria, process or standard for vector art now?
They only accepting version 8 eps now. Could that be it?

If you've made it in the door as an illustrator you can also send them photos for approval. I got in with 10 illustrations but also have a few photographs online.

Have a close look at the poll chart. Something is not right. Pond5 or Stockfresh?

I've sent them messages with links to images to be considered for different Galleries. Most have been included - nothing like a direct approach. They usually thank you for the suggestion.
