More uploading to Alamy with more moving away from the Micros. More of the new plans center on the Wife though. Going to try to start up some craft business then hopefully put her in to Beauty School for esthetics so she can become a Licensed Makeup Artist. Free for me...lol. Then hopefully sometime this new year.. move away from this dying small town.

Tell him Yes.. if he hires the plane / Heli and pilot and lets you keep the copyright to all the shots take for whatever use you want. See what he thinks of that.

You do not have to put anything in the "Location" field. You can leave it blank. Mainly if you got something that would be specific to a local, then you would put where it was at.

Vulcans are not hostile, but Romulans are.
Please.. thats an easy lead in for the old joke "Watch out for the Klingons near Uranus"

That line is the one in question as to whos name goes in it. Using Alamys Model Release form. You can see the form here: http://www.alamy.com/contributors/Alamy-stock-photography-model-release-form.pdfFrom how it looks. I would guess its the Models name that goes there. Or am I totally off base by reading J's post and this should be for what is given to the Model? If it is Copies of the Photos.. then put "Disk of Photos" or something like that. If it is like this.. and a friend did it for nothing.. then put what in there?

I finally have a few images that will use the Alamy Model Release but I have one question.
The first paragraph ... who's name goes in that spot? Mine or the Models?
"For good and valuable Consideration of _____________ , herein acknowledged as received,"
I also have some shots from a few days before. Does it need another Model Release for the date or can I just add in Image numbers in the shoot description field?

It is true they will pay you if you want to pull out. I deleted my port and the wrote CS and told them to delete my account and pay me the monies owed to me. 3 days later account was closed with a email stating date for payout. Thats one thing they did right.

The only negative point is the absence of any real business info.
Thats the part that troubles me.

Has anyone heard of this place? Looking around some photo forums sites and I happened to see this banner. The main site entrance is http://totallycoolpix.comThe submitter application entrance is: http://totallycoolpix.com/are-you-a-photographer/What they say: We are always on the lookout for more totally cool pix. No matter what the subject, as long as there is a connection between or a story behind your images we are interested. It can be about architecture, inner city life, animal close ups, slow, images with a common theme (colour, event, national holiday, religion) and so on. The minimum number of images we are looking for in one set is 15. The ideal number would be 20 to 25 or higher. In return for the (non-exclusive) use of your images we giv e you between $100-150, a link back to your website and the change to show off your work to thousands of people from around the world. And who knows, your images might get noticed by the likes of Reuters.

Welcome to MSG Jim. What were the reasons for the rejection? LCV (Limited Commercial Value) ? "We have enough of these already" "Improper Focus"
You will find that the Micros are ..ummm.. pickier.. than Alamy. Alamy only checks for Technical Correctness of an Image.. Not for the content or composition.
If your rejections was for focus or noise.. we would need to see a full size image (hosted somewhere) or a 100% crop. Reading these forums and aking a few questions helped me get into Shutterstock and Istock on my second try for both.

I remember using the original internet. The Military version. No chat rooms or email. Using the Dot Matrix Printers.

I am hoping its worth it. I have been working an getting more images up there across 3 Pseudos. Over 100 images now with about 10 more in backup to load. Got to shoot new stuff since I am not loading over my Micro stuff there.
Got Naomi and Wynonna Judd coming into town tomorrow.. so gonna get them too..lol. Thing called the Santa Train. Tomorrow will be the first time the rode it together to pass out gifts from a train. So editorial will be the word tomorrow.
Sunday will be a walk about day downtown and so forth.. so maybe more shots to upload after that.
My views are coming up significantly... so waiting on the sales to trickle along but still a long ways to go.

Motive through Photography.. not through Stock / Microstock. Learn more about Photography. Go step outside your comfort zone for fun.
I go walking around with my 18 - 55 lens and see what I end up with.. with no plans on selling them. I take those pics and learn some type of creative editing. All for the sake of just doing. If you spend all your time thinking about the next stock shot... then do like a regular job and take your weekends off.
